This is my first time posting, and I'm not sure if I'm on the right board, but I'll ask anyways. In act 3, after reading Meredith's letter (regarding the worsening situation in the gallows), I can no longer complete ANY other quests that require Hawke to go there. Is this normal, and is there some sort of workaround? I reeeeeeeeeeally don't want to start again (I unfortunately have no save prior to that), just to experience the full game. I'm playing on the PS3 (computer can't handle it), so my options are fairly limited unfortunately. Anyone's opinion is greatly appreciated... thanks!

Going to the Gallows after reading that letter will always initiate the endgame.

Sad but true - I don't even look at my writing desk after a certain point in Act III unless I'm certain I'm done with everything else, because honestly, I think even after you get the letter, there are things you can't do anymore. Though I could be wrong about that.

That kind of seems like a HUGE flaw, in my opinion. To the best of my knowledge, the letter doesn't indicate that it will trigger the endgame, and once you've accepted, it's too late? Hmmm... I think you might be onto something, Girl. Good to know for my next playthrough, and thanks for the replies!
