Is there anyway someone could make the singing blades available for DA2? They are also known as warglaives from Illidan in world of warcraft.

They are available for Origins, so it must be possible to convert them for DA2.

Mind you he said WARglaive. There is no such thing called warglaive for real, true, but there is however such thing in World of Warcraft, which he pointed out in his post. Try searching Warglaive on Google and see for yourself.
As for bringing them into DA2... Someone would need to ask the original modder for permission to convert them into this game. I myself have no clue how to import meshes and textures from DA:O.
However, I do support this idea as I love Warglaives.

There are so many weapons and armor from WoW that would b awesome to see in DA. Is there some intermediate file type that could be used to convert WoW models to DA2 formats as a starting point? Maybe it would be easier just to remake them from scratch, idk...

I'd rather see FEWER weapons in DA that would be complete failures in a real fight, not more.

Yes as I stated before warglaives from world of warcraft drops off last boss of black temple Illidan. I know "technically" they are not "glaives" but in wow they are called warglaives. Any who do you really have to have their permission? Its not like they are getting paid just do like most do for compilations for wow interface packs, and give "props" to the person who created them when you change them to fit you. I just think it would be awesome to play a rogue in the new combat system with them.

I wouldn't know the first thing about creating a mod. That is why I asked. Personally I wouldnt mind seeing the pally or warrior t6 set as the warrior champion set and rogue t6 or t5 as the rogue champion set.

I'd like to see some one make a double bladed staff of parthalan, like a darth maul like staff, like a  mod that allows mages to go melee using magic and Con as base for attack and Defense

jay you can make a arcane warrior. hence a mage who can go in melee. but the mod only allows the weapons not the actual play of wow. i guess i just fail to see how it makes you "hate" blizzard. i just ask if someone could make the mod that makes the weapons available for the game because well i like the model of the weapon.

anyways this isn't a mod to make the game more like wow. its a mod to allow the use of the weapons because i like the models. personally dont care if you hate wow. i am just asking if someone could convert it to da2. I have no idea how to do it.

If I remember correctly, anyone porting Blizzard's copyrighted material into another game (DA for example), is technically a copyright infringement violation as Blizzard has not authorized their IP to be used in any product other than WoW. Again, just saying.
Modding even close replicas of Blizzard's intellectual property into a competitor's game can cause a legal sheetstorm, especially when said mods appear to be supported by its competitor because its posted all over their forum. Just something to think about.

You're right, but you should be telling Blizzard, not the OP. They're the ones made the mistake.

Blizzard didn't make a mistake. They called a pair of weapons warglaives because they liked the name. They don't care about historical accuracy because they're working in a fantasy world where functional armor will have massive sholder pads, spikes, and flaming skulls impaled on those spikes.

Too bad. Chris Priestly will burst into your house and force you to download and use this completely optional, player-made mod.

I love you Sunnie :)

But in other news, Pretty sure blizzard hasn't copyrighted a "curved dual bladed sword/staff type item thing" .. Sure if somebody directly ported the twinglaives (sp) then nail them to the cross and throw faeces at them! But who's to say somebody can't make something similar looking - If not better! ... At first I was against the idea, But the more I think about it, Would be cool to see - Especially in DA2 with the speedy combat.

in reality does it matter? you cant infringe someone from another country for something like that. no matter how much power you have. if memory serves me right the guy who made the initial edit for the glaives on oblivion is from russia. also i dont think this really takes into factor considering how many free realms are out there AND it also says if you make money on it you can  and will be persicuted. i dont think anyone is making any money off it and its just a weapon NOT a full game edit to make it like wow. granted right now i am attempting to make a user interface for wow that looks like DA2 ui. really need to relook at the terms and agreements.

I disagree. I mean, I agree with the idea that they can call it whatever they want. But I still think it's wrong. They could call red blue if they liked it better, but it still wouldn't be blue. For the record, it doesn't bother me. But that's not what a glaive is.

This would incredibly awesome. I almost wish it were true.

/facepalm is all i can say. i just ask if someone could take the dragon age origins mod of singing blades to DA2. like i stated before i could care less if you think it is wrong to use the models but it is allready been used nothing you can say about it now. or that its not a actual glaive. considering in wow that is what it is called and i called it that to reference what they look like, so whoever can or will make the change knows what im talking about. please stop trolling my post about your opinions i just want to know if someone knows how to or can make the conversion. thank you.
