Indeed.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaive
Mind you he said WARglaive. There is no such thing called warglaive for real, true, but there is however such thing in World of Warcraft, which he pointed out in his post. Try searching Warglaive on Google and see for yourself.
As for bringing them into DA2... Someone would need to ask the original modder for permission to convert them into this game. I myself have no clue how to import meshes and textures from DA:O.
However, I do support this idea as I love Warglaives.

Modding even close replicas of Blizzard's intellectual property into a competitor's game can cause a legal sheetstorm, especially when said mods appear to be supported by its competitor because its posted all over their forum. Just something to think about.

You're right, but you should be telling Blizzard, not the OP. They're the ones made the mistake.

Too bad. Chris Priestly will burst into your house and force you to download and use this completely optional, player-made mod.Killjoy Cutter wrote...
I'd rather see FEWER weapons in DA that would be complete failures in a real fight, not more.

I was wondering when a game weapon would convert to real life????????Maria Caliban wrote...
Blizzard didn't make a mistake. They called a pair of weapons warglaives because they liked the name. They don't care about historical accuracy because they're working in a fantasy world where functional armor will have massive sholder pads, spikes, and flaming skulls impaled on those spikes.Too bad. If I remember correctly, anyone porting Blizzard's copyrighted material into another game (DA for example), is technically a copyright infringement violation as Blizzard has not authorized their IP to be used in any product other than WoW. Again, just saying.

I love you Sunnie
But in other news, Pretty sure blizzard hasn't copyrighted a "curved dual bladed sword/staff type item thing" .. Sure if somebody directly ported the twinglaives (sp) then nail them to the cross and throw faeces at them! But who's to say somebody can't make something similar looking - If not better! ... At first I was against the idea, But the more I think about it, Would be cool to see - Especially in DA2 with the speedy combat.

in reality does it matter? you cant infringe someone from another country for something like that. no matter how much power you have. if memory serves me right the guy who made the initial edit for the glaives on oblivion is from russia. also i dont think this really takes into factor considering how many free realms are out there AND it also says if you make money on it you can and will be persicuted. i dont think anyone is making any money off it and its just a weapon NOT a full game edit to make it like wow. granted right now i am attempting to make a user interface for wow that looks like DA2 ui. really need to relook at the terms and agreements.Sunnie22 wrote...

I disagree. I mean, I agree with the idea that they can call it whatever they want. But I still think it's wrong. They could call red blue if they liked it better, but it still wouldn't be blue. For the record, it doesn't bother me. But that's not what a glaive is.

This would incredibly awesome. I almost wish it were true.
