Do you fear it won't make a reappearance in ME3? I'm fine with the new hairstyle, just as long as she ties it into a bun whenever we head out on a mission.

Maybe a dev can shed some light on the subject? Does Ashley have 2 models (1. Hair down and casual attire 2. Bun and combat armor)?

Personally, I'm a sucker for long hair, so I like her new look. I never really got into Ash as a character though, so I'm probably in the minority.

Didn't like Ashley myself. Or Carth...I mean Kaidan. Ashley was way too Terra Firma party for my viewpoint on a galaxy full of life and all that.

I blame Star Trek for my rose colored glasses when it comes to the rest of the species in the galaxy.

 didn't know a change in some character's hairstyle would be detrimental to the ability to enjoy a game...  not liking it because it's your opinion is one thing but getting nerd rage over it is quite something else.
i personally like it a lot and need to do a playthrough of ME2 where i DONT cheat on her now

That said, Ashley is an Alliance Marine. She wears armor on duty, been that way for two games.

I hope that outfit is her off-duty look, I wouldn't mind so much.

I have to admit that I like Ashley as character, romanced her in ME1 and I like her new look.
Of course it would be weird if she would go in that kind of uniform into batle, but as off-mission look it is great and I am really glad Bioware did some changes to old characters, instead of just copying old looks.
Guys, I changed my haircut last week, why couldn't Ashley do it in several years, huh?
I think her new appearance is very refreshing.
