All in all, I think she looks better than in ME1.

That's not the point here. It isn't about Ashley being more "fappable" now or before but about her character. Ash having her hair down just doesn't make sense considering her no nonsense military character and like you said I doubt bioware will make another hair model for her. The fact that she has had boob job done too and is wearing a very "open" light armor just makes one wonder that what the heck is bioware thinking.
Miranda is also not really a good comparison. She was clearly a femme fatale type of character from the get go. Some people have also complained about the fact that she seems to been put into game just for the sex appeal.

I agree with you totally, but sadly there's nothing we can do - in their recent games BioWare clearly shows us that their vision of appealing to larger audiences (namely young and younger males) is to provide more fanservice and sexappealing babes with huge boobage. So forget the attempts at realism in ME1, it won't come back. And Miranda kinda reminds me of Lara Croft - we all know what was the main appeal of that game, not that anyone complained :).

Someone please explain to me why having an attractive top on automatically means that she is wearing a catsuit.  I'm not seeing the leap in logic here.  We see only the top half of her body, we see her wearing something that is only slightly different from light armor in the first game, and she has her hair down.  This automatically means she had a boobjob, is wearing a catsuit and is now walking fanservice?  Does nobody else see how ludicrous that assumption is?

Every character changed between ME1 and ME2.  Graphically and in-universe.  Considering that we'll almost certainly have Ashley back on our team (if she survived), I would be disappointed if she didn't change at all.  People are not static in real life, don't expect characters to be static in any medium.

What else are we supposed to think? Considering her very well rooted, sensible and military type character I just cannot think anything else. With the knowledge we have now she isn't the kind of woman who would go "emo" (like Liara which btw I think fitted her character) and start to dress up like a party girl. So as for now I can only think that bioware is upping her sexyness to attract players and killing part of her established character because some people have complained how she was ugly in ME1 and 2(I disagree. I found her plain looks to be refreshing).

Her top looks like a catsuit complete with zipper and special boobage holders, will the bottom suddnely have baggy military pants? I somehow doubt that and considering she looks rather similar to Miranda in that picture both suit and outlook wise, there is a healthy concern that there is some new fashion trend for Alliance military uniforms.

Or maybe they started ordering from Cerberus, TIM approves.

The difference being Lara Croft started that way:wub:

Why they decided to completely change out of her soldier attire Ashley in the very last game of the trilogy, that just happens to be about war, is beyond me.
