If she seriously fights dressed like that I'm not buying ME3.

Just...no. You don't do that to your characters.

We all know you'll be buying ME3 regardless of her hair style.

That said, I wholeheartedly support letting her hair down.  Of course I just personally HATE buns.  Pony-tails can definitely be sexy. but choosing between her hair all down and up in a bun?  How can you view a bun more attractive than the hair down?  Yes, even you ladies.
Here's to hoping her hair stays down.  Even during combat ;)

Well, the bun could be considered part of her personality in a way.

So that makes it important.

I always assumed the bun was some sort of military reg for wearing long hair.  If she wears it down off-duty, that's cool.  And I like the look.

I just hope her armor looks more like that blue Kestrel-y looking armor Kaidan seems to be wearing, and not a blue version of Miranda's outfit in ME 2.  That's just...not Ashley...

Do you fear it won't make a reappearance in ME3? And how enraged would you be if that will be the case (on a scale of 1 to 10)?

I've noticed that quite some people seem to worry about the possible absence of said bun... maybe a dev can shed some light on the subject?

i like her new look more honestly. and she still has some nice BUNSImage IPB

The new look isn't bad., but the old look seemed like something someone with her background would wear, especially when she is expected to be shooting things. Miranda is more the type who tries to look sexy on the battlefield.

But I can live with it.

Ashley thinks Terra Firma is a bunch of jackals. She HATES them. You ever bring her around for the "My Own Worst Enemy" assignment back in ME1?

People are convinced that Ashley is a racist when she's not.

She just doesn't trust aliens, and considering her family history, you would see why.

Its not even that. Its not that she doesn't trust aliens(although that is a part of it), its that she believes we need to put more faith in ourselves and our own race over them.

You can change her opinion and make her believe that we're all on equal terms though, which is what I did. I hope that has an effect on her dialogue in ME3.

Her comment in ME2 about not trusting aliens was TOTALLY out of place to me after I made her change her opinion back in ME1.

Honestly, I'm tired of her being called a racist when she's not. I hope ME3 can convince others she isn't what they think she is.

Just like how Kaiden has more depth than most people believe. Sure, he's not the most interesting character around, but hey, he's miles ahead of Jacob(in my opinion, at least).

She looks very nice with her hair down, don't get me wrong.

But I would really like to see that bun again as soon as I take her along on a mission.

Yeah, I think it should be-

1. Bun for missions and assignments
2. Hair down on the Normandy and in appropriate cutscenes

But the thing is, if they did that they'd be having two models for the same character. I don't know if they'll take that route. It would be awesome, but I don't know.

Seriously when I first see the title to this thread I see Ashley's bum - not bun. :innocent: :o

That said, I like her hair down but I've always been a sucker for long hair on a woman.

More than her hair, I'm concerned about her outfit. I really hope that she still has an armour on the battlefield. I can understand why Liara has a simple outfit (if I rmember in the ME codex is stated that asari commando don't wear armour),but not Ashley.

What about her BOOBS. They've been augmented. Ash had to compete with Miranda somehow I guess.

In what way would that be hard to incorporate? Or would it just require too much additional, much needed disk space?

I like her hair in ME3 better than 1 and 2. I wish she had looked like that in ME1 because I think it makes her look more attractive...like a reward for staying faithful to her throughout ME2...unless she remarried or found a new boyfriend while she thought you were dead for two years.  She did say she hadn't thought about you in a year and that she moved on...

Oh, and her curves look even better this time around...sex appeal is something to aspire to IMHO.

Ashley looks hot but I never liked her personality :/
I think she looks better with hair down though I don't really care all that much.

Just put her head in a helmet and pretend that it's there..provided she will be given a helmet in ME3. There is a serious threat to Ashley's actual armor existence witnessing what they did in ME2 on that front.

Image IPBIt's really ridiculous to see all this anger about a bun's story anyway... Do you realise ? Image IPB

But let's go...

I loved Ashley, the soldier in a vessel of Alliance. Yes. Now I want to explore other facets of her personality that we don't yet explore. I don't want to have something recycled, a repetition of M1. This character must still surprises us..

The bun is too much reference to the past. I want to see that Ashley has evolved, it has matured, more confident, not only in the behavior.

It suck she keeps the same cut for THREE episodes. You're really, really, really, really, really, reallly, really conservative. Image IPB

We must not only consider Ashley's point of view of hardcore fans, we must see also how broadly interest play in general.

So you're so unwilling to change? Oo

Well, I don't mind the appearance of Ashley as we do not make us a remake ....

But this look is awesome however. I hope BIOWARE  keep it, and don't just only think for some hardcore angry fans  of Ashley and think to all who has loved her new look .

Can not bear to Ashley because of a bun, it seems to me really .... Pfff.

Ashley letting her hair down isn't worth getting worked up over. I think it's good to see another side of a rather deep but rigid character.

Can't wait to see people's reactions if Jack HAS hair in ME3.

At least Bioware didn't go the lazy route like part two and keep the exact same character model for Ashley. Kudos for actually putting a little thought and effort in.

I'd like to see the bun back... it would be cool if she let her hair down before coitus but as it stands right now, it seems like she got all insecure once she found out Miranda was on the mission in ME2 and got a ton of work done to compete.

That being said, *cough**cough*3some*COUGH**cough, cough, cough*

Funny how people crabbed about armor on Miranda, but don't have any problem with Bioware changing Ashley for the sex appeal.

And I don't think I'd call it nerdrage; more like facepalming at Bioware' recent direction. I just hope Ashley's not wearing high heels on the battlefield... holy Christ, that was dumb. :/

If Bioware's new philosophy for marketing their games is to give all the major female characters nice curves and/or cleavage, I can see more than a few people assuming the right to chew them out for it. Just like what happens with movies.
