I think Miranda was supposed to be sort of a femme fatale sort of character. A woman who kill mercs in high heels and doesn't mess up her looks in the process.

I have no problems with a change in look for Ashley but I hope they don't try to replicate Miranda in that sort of sense.

Yeah, I got that. I really hope that Bioware gives the characters suitable appearances for the missions, rather than having them dress in the exact same outfit throughout the entire game. Ashley and Kaidan switching between armor and reg uniforms was a big plus for immersion.

..wait...they own a Delorean...HELL YES! There was a guy selling one here in Adelaide...I was tempted to go round at the least for a test drive...in retrospect...I really should have.

Also..at this stage..I wouldn't put anything beyond BioWare....I think they're secretly sapping all of EA's resources for their own evil, evil ends...

and bioware is changing the past...by going back to sunville california...in the 1950s and making out with there moms(back to the future )

I fell in love all over again when I first saw the pic of her with her hair down... Seriously, ME3 better make this love story between Shep and her freakin epic. ME2 had to happen but its made their bond stronger IMO. I would be dissapointed if BioWare doesn't let her keep her hair down, its a refreshing new look and she looks way more relaxed now and not as uptight.

I see no reason why not, go back to the Mass Effect 1 system for outifts. Remember? Ashley and Kaidan wore standard Alliance Blue uniforms when on the Normandy but put on armor when they went into active duty?
I could go with that.

To be honest though either way is good for me, I mean for one thing we Ash fans were the ones who wanted her to let her hair down in the first place. Ashley's still gorgeous.

Exactly my thoughts.
I think that fact devs did the job on appearance of characters is good signal and it shows that they keep these characters in notice.  And this is very positive siginal for me, I am much more optimistic now about old friends than if I would see very old unchanged models of Ashley and Kaidan.

Agreed, Ash looks 10x as aesthetically pleasing now. I hope they have her hair down for most-if not the whole game, just for variety.

Also, lol @ people thinking that Ashley will wear that outfit in combat. It's a pre-game screen shot without context for crying out loud. For all we know, squad mate armor could actually be customizable this time around *crosses fingers*.

This. She looks way more relaxed with hair down, more matured and I love.

The problem now is that Bioware has opened the Pandora's box, revealing Ashley. Many people would be disappointed if they remove this look of hair down. We hold out something good to finally get back to something old, traditional ? If they have put this scan, it's not to return to the old style I hope. (Even if I can deal with, Because I'll Always Love Ashley )

If she looks like that going to the trial, some other formal thing or maybe even on a date with Shep, I'm definitely down with that... in fact, I'd love it. But it would just be too much if she looks like that on away missions or even on board the Normandy.

Ashley has always had mascara around her eyes. Always. M1 and M2. Her lips always gorgeous.

Her holding is a military holding of Alliance, with marked, S7.

Yes, although I don't understand why you talk about things that were already present. I admit her lips seem more pink however. =)

But like Liara she graphically advanced.

We have seen in all images of the magazine that many things had advanced graphically. I expect also to see Jack and all the characters in M2.
