And this didn't happen solely to Ashley. Think about Liara ME and Liara ME2... Including SB DLC... ( also, Liara also got a boobjob, comparing to ME).

Liara's change wasn't nearly as drastic as Ashley's. She kept most of her features and had combat armor at least. It is speculation right now but come on... she looks over the top from what we have seen. She has sex written all over her. Ashley is a fighter not a lover. My guess is she is Miranda 2.0.

Bioware can not take you seriously if you say :

" If Ashley doesn't have a bun, I will not buy this game !!!!!!!!!!! "

It makes people laugh, even me a fan of ashley makes me laugh, so I think that they also would make them laugh.

And your exaggerations do not contribute to make you credible, with the story of Mirandadified. No it's not a reskin.

Then there are many people who like the new style of Ashley, mind you. They showed a new style, go back to the old for some hardcore fans,? It would be really surprising. But maybe who knows.

However, If you want my opinion, they knew very well that some would be unhappy with the new style of Ashley.

Then mainly complaints are useless if they have indeed provided a railing to keep her armor and her personality, as everyone hoped and what I have no doubt.

Lol wow, people are so hysterical...O_o. We have no hint or clue that the change in appearance = her acting out of character. I'm going to back Bioware on this one and say that they know better. My bet is still on Ash/Kaiden being a spectre, thus the non-Alliance standard clothing/armor.

I have no problem with her hair being down... my only issues are if she loses her phoenix armour and has bigger breasts. I could get over the armour over time, but making her breasts bigger just to appease that ridiculous male "big boobies"/drool demographic that already has more than enough bloody big boobs in gaming... that is just stupid and insulting.

I'm thinking that after seeing what the Systems Alliance did to her grandfather and what they were about to do to Shepard i.e. sacrificing him on the political alter in the name of race-politics Ashley probably decides to leave the Alliance military in disgust and her new look is indicative and evocative of her new life. So you could say that the bun and the phoenix armor are probably gone for good.

Well I really don't see this "Miranda 2.0" vibe that everyone is getting from that picture.

It's because she's been catsuited and her bust has been upsized to Miranda levels.

ME3 Ashley Williams
Miranda

Their bodies are pretty much identical.

All we see in the Ashley pic is the top half of her body.  There's no evidence to support this "catsuit" theory.  Even less to support the supposition that she'll be wearing such a thing in combat.  It could just be a top.  And the only thing that distinguishes it from a suit of light armor is the relatively modest slit down the cleavage.  Other than that, it seems to be a serviceable piece of armor, going from the one pic that we have.

As for the bust size, is there any indication that Ashley didn't have boobs like that before?  In ME1, she either wore tight (probably compressing) armor, or a loose military shirt.  Maybe this new look merely accentuates her assets more?  I honestly don't think the change is all that big, if such a change even took place.

Even so, this freaking out over one concept art picture of Ashley is rather silly, especially something as trivial as her hair.

Personally? I'd dig it if Ash was made a sexier woman than in ME1 and 2. She was still sexy then, of course, but I just have a bit of a... thing for curvy women in tight suits. But that's just me. Haters gonna hate.

... Wow, did I seriously just say that last bit? Yikes.

If that is justifiable armor for someone with no biotic barriors or tech armor, then I will eat my keyboard. Watch the actual battle armor be released as a alternative costume DLC. Taking bets.

Try putting Ashley in some light armor in ME1.  You'll find that it looks much like that, the only difference being the cleavage slit, like I said.  The textures are simply better in that picture than they were in ME1.  And all armor comes with kinetic barriers, even the light kind.  My guess is they put her in something like that for the concept art, and it might be her casual-wear, but I doubt she'll be wearing anything other than heavy armor in combat, complete with helmet where necessary.

Why is it that as soon as someone ditches unflattering armor (IE ME1, I thought that armor, among other things, made her horribly unattractive) for a different set that makes them more attractive it's OMG OVERSEXUALIZING? In my experience, women have a tendency to lean towards things that make them more attractive.

Despite the fact that that Ash is in fact one of my least favorite characters, if she returned wearing a metal box because anything that accentuated her curves or features was "oversexualized", I'd be pissed. Yeah yeah yeah, catsuit blah blah blah. Bioware has more than likely learned from the 'facemask/catsuit in space' thing.

People need to chill the eff out. Stop judging and just play the game. Bioware isn't looking for fashion police.

Also, how the crap did we get from talking about 'the bun' to this?

There is no boobjob, the catsuit lets you see them unlike her ME1/2 armor. I guess many of you havn't been with women IRL.

Same happens to shepard if you take off her armor and put on the Kasumi DLC dress.

Hopefully her hair in combat looks similar to the Mass Effect concept art.

Probably because it's ****ing stereotypical, mainstream bull**** that happens to tire many of us out. Yes, I love women in tight clothing; do I want to see that sexualization all over the effing place, even in quote "emotionally engaging sci-fi " /quote? Not really; unless it's where it belongs, like in a sex scene or a strip joint or whatever. Having a blunt, military-esque woman who's always shown herself to be a soldier first-and-foremost, coming up to battle in something that looks like it belongs at a sexy corporate meeting, does not make me think very highly of Bioware. So let's hope that that's not armor that she's wearing...

  Seriously?

And clearly a healthy balance of femininity and practicality (even though it's light armor). I guess the turtleneck would turn perverts off the idea of humping her. ;)

This is true to a point, but you do see her without armor in ME1 and none of the characters were that curvy. I don't have a problem with bioware redoing the character models between me1 and me3 though. I still think keeping the basic look is important, and the most distinctive thing about her was her hair. Her hair is more important to retain than her cup size.

As long as she doesn't go into battle with that, it's fine.

Also Kaidan looks weird in Heavy Armor.

I like the new body mesh.

As long as her character is deep then thats all that matters.

Mind you as someone from the UK, from what I see around Manchester and other cities those boobs actually look about average for size. There was a news article in the UK papers which stated that Bra manufacturer Triumph said that out of all the Bras they sold in the UK 57% D cup, 18% C, 19% B, and only 6% A cup.

Ash's boobs in ME1 for me where ridiculously small.

I hate Ash's new hair.

40% because long hair looks like crap in games with non-physiked hair.

60% because it totally conflicts with her character as a hardened no nonsense warrior and reeks of fan service.

The cleavage cleft in the armor I won't even bother going into. I expect childish butt shots in ME 3.

Why are so many people opposed to Ash's new look? Can't a girl just let her hair down once in awhile? Oh, and go through the Mass Effect love scene again. When Ash is playfully crawling atop your Shep, you can see that she has the "buns," (those other things). Honestly, if you've ever seen a girl wear different types of shirts/material, then you'd also be able to tell that her new look is reasonable/accurate.

Haha...you'd think it WAS after reading some of these comments!Image IPB

I'm all for having your own opinion...but some people are goin' a little overboard with the whole, "Ash is Miranda 2.0." I mean, does Miranda have the whole, 'hair down' look under copyright or something?Image IPB
