I made the mistake, after finishing DA2, of downloading both 'Witch Hunt' and 'The Golems of Agnaraak (or however it's spelled)' last week (4/6 and 4/8) for my DA:Origins with the intention of playing them over the weekend. I didn't imagine that given that I ordered, paid for, and downloaded them FROM BioWare's SITE that they'd remain unauthorized for... five days now. Since I'd gotten 'witch hunt' authorized once, it will play offline, but after logging in every single day since last week I *still* can't get 'Golems' authorized. Would it have been too much to ask that you guys provide *us* with a code we could enter to authorize items which we paid for and downloaded directly from *you*? I still have BioWare Points floating around in limbo that it's clear that there's no point in spending as I won't be getting anything from those either as long as this problem persists (and I won't ever be recommending any of BioWare's downloadable content again). Sorry to be so rude but this has a lot of people really steamed.
This is something someone should take note of (Gods only knows who since no one from EA or Bioware seems to read any of this)
Yisrene only purchased DLC's last week. I've seen other posts from people who bought the whole DAO:UE only last week so they could play it before DA2. And I've seen posts from people who now say they won't be buying DA2 at all because of this.
Keeping an older Game up and running leads to increased sales for newer Games. Problems like this lead to fewer sales due to the bad taste left in the mouth of those players who feel burned.

What do you mean, fixed. Except for workarounds that WE and not THEM have offered, nothing is fixed over here...Game_Fan_85 wrote...
After this pathetic situation is finally fixed, EA had better patch the game so DLC no longer needs authorisation. (...)
Huh? I meant "once the server issue is resolved", never said it was fixed already, lol.

Though, obviously they're not playing Dragon Age, or someone would have taken a personal interest in the problem by now.

Please lock up this thread and create a new one when more information is available.
It will be difficult to discover BioWare's official post in such a popular and gargantuan thread, and subscribing to it would not make it that much easier.

Clock's ticking, EA/BioWare. I have two characters in Lothering now. I've started a female human and a female human mage. Now off to start a Dalish. I don't know how many more Ostagars I can do. I have a bunch of naked characters missing their DLC! They're getting cold, BioWare! How can they fight darspawn if they catch pneumonia.
Finished 3 Ostragars and still waiting.

Just click on the "Bioware" under the threads title, that shows only those posts!

Currently stuck in the fade with my human rogue after the Sloth Demon threw me in there! I think this is the only part of the game that I really hate doing. Such a time consumer and a pain in the butt! It's still a bit strange to play without my DLC. My poor other characters in my different saves must be freezing by now!

*do you think whoever runs these servers has thought of checking to see if there not turned off at the mains* hehe

I don't care about other peoples profiles nor do I care to flash any achievements around in a solo RPG.
It had never really dawned on me before this, but if I went away or found myself without internet access, I couldn't even play. In an MMO, I get it, but in a solo RPG, that's just dumb.
I fear for TORs release week if this is how they deal with a downed server.

But for EA/Bioware it's certainly an excellent way to advertise the outstanding quality of their product.

Hehe, thanks for your concern, but it comes naturally to me. I've got fast fingers and an easy access to typing a lot here. PLUS I have a tiny little bit of OCD, when stuff like this happens I get, slightly obsessive. But when this is done I'll continue "talking a lot" elsewhere. (Right after I finish my affairs with some of the DAO characters).

I agree with what many others have said, I am playing a RPG not an MMORPG so why am I required to constantly authorize my content via their servers. Please stop requiring this constantly, just have us enter the code when we download it and be done.
Hopefully this situation will be resolved by the time I get back next week and have a few free hours to play again.

I have gone through the addins file changing 'requires authorisation' from 1 to 0, and this has helped in most cases, but I had all the DLC for Dragon Age Origins including feastday gifts, which is not showing up and I am now being offered the opportunity to purchase again!! Moreover, the downloadable content screen shows just a couple of dashes where my bioware points are supposed to be, even though I have some 640 points - though I am not going to purchase feastday gifts a second time. How much longer is this going to continue?
I'd suggest not to tamper with the Addin file, as it may cause trouble once the server is back up, had you played long enough with it having "ghost DLCs".
