Hi Vlad, sorry was about to go away. Okay, first of all, do you see your DLC as authorized?
Also, which version of the game you have?

The background service may not be running. Do you have the regular or Ultimate edition of the game, and is from a disc, from Steam, or from some other digital service?

Also, you'll want to confirm your service starts when you boot the game. A few users have reported they need to manually start their service for some reason.<br />
1. In Windows, Press start<br />
2. Run "services.msc"<br />
3. Find and start "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater"<br />
4. Restart game<br />

Not true. I have Ultimate and have owned the game for several months. I am getting the authentication errors as well. For the older users, it has to do with the autologin feature and whether or not you changed the default setting to stop you from automatically logging into their servers every time you load the game.
Side Note: I was really looking forward to ME3 AND swtor. I even considered buying DA2. BiowarEA, you lost a LOT of credibility after warhammer and now THIS?! I will NOT be buying your games in the future. Both Blizzard and NCSOFT would never allow something like this to happen. Six days of downtime is absolutely unheard of and unacceptable for an MMO, much less a single player game. Maybe you guys should start taking notes. OR keep losing paying customers and go bankrupt. GG

First verify under the "Downloaded Content Installed" To see if they are in fact authorized.

Hmm. If they are installed and everything is authorized, try to do a fresh reboot. If that doesn't work you may want to try loading a previous Save File.
*EDIT* This is why I adviced against using the workarounds to load a game that had DLCs... the Save Files might have gotten corrupted.

We may lose the forum here soon... as they have maintenance scheduled for tonight, I think. So here's the plan:
1) Go into the main menu and select "Downloadable Content".
2) Under the installed content tab, see if all the DLC is there, and see if it is "authorized".
3) If it is, you should be able to access those quests. If you've not played the game before, you can find out how to do so on the Dragon Age Wiki at http://dragonage.wik...ntent_(Origins)
4) If they are NOT authotized, then I would recommend that you exit the game, reboot, and when Windows is done loading, restart your game.
5) If that STILL does not help, go to the Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL) and select the process tab. See if there's something running called daupdatersvc.exe or something like that.
6) If the service is NOT running... check out the solutions roundup linked below in my sig. Or, better, try the process that RedundantCookie descibed.
EDIT: And I agree with Cookie's advice, above.

Hopefully EA/Bioware will learn a lesson from this in customer service, because the length of this outage and the lack of communication to the community is upsetting.

Once it is authorized, log out and see if you can run it. If not, you might try manually reinstalling the DLC... you can find out how at this link:

Note you'll have to install both the DLC and it's associated "offer" file. Honestly, it could be that the server is getting a lot of traffic because it's just come back online, or that it's indexing after the presumed repair job... so if you don't want to try anything drastic, it might not hurt to give it a little while.

Make sure you have that content registered in your profile. Under Profile/Registered Content.
