Guess I'm kinda late here but in case this isn't fixed I found that if I just logged out when playing everything worked fine on my steam version of the game. If I was logged in it said that my DLC wasn't authorized but upon logging out the game ran fine.

Fix didn't work, about half my dlc is saying unautherized.

EA told me to delete a bunch of stuff, then run services.msc and realized I was missing the updater - had to reinstall to get that.

After install, made changes in xml except "Return to Ostagar" wasn't authorized - they weren't giving me the dlc for that. Sucked big time. So reinstall #2.

So now, even though EA said they'd get back to me in 24-48 hrs (as if), their server problem didn't resolve anything for me. I have mostly authorized content, but now all available content is missing.

Release the patch to remove DRM, Bioware. It's the only option. That's what happened to Spore.

 I have been a huge Bioware fan since NWN was released, but I won't spend another dime on content with DRM in it. You got the last laugh, already got my money for DA2.  Enjoy, it'll be the last penny of mine you see.

As on April 16 my content from my ultimate edition DaO is still unauthorized. I'm thoughly non-plussed on what i need to do to play the downloadable content i paid for. This DRM seems to me to be a case of throwing the baby out with the bathwater as its causing way more headaches to the general population (who for the most part have paid for the content) than stopping the minority of folks who pirate the game.

I guess i'll keep my eyes open for updates on this situation, but ill make damn sure im not buying a game with this type of authentication... its a nightmare.

For me, my content is authorized, it's availiable in game, the server updates my achievements, but it won't upload my characters or screenshots, and say's can't access my online storage, something is still broke.

Ty Fernando....just a suggestion delete anything dragon age and try starting over. Also in the options ask to have updates and downloads automatic. Or de-authorize and then reauthorized see if that helps....does sound like they are trying, patience and understanding go along way, and yes I know the frustration but so do they.

Still having problems with DLC. Some started to downloaded successfully, some got stuck, and some that were already downloaded show up again as available to purchase after restarting the client.

Game crashed. The game was nice and stable when I had my original disc. Now it's a buggy mess.

EA, Bioware, you no longer have any choice. It's a 2 year old game. RELEASE THE NO-DRM PATCH.

Finally working, downloaded DAO:U made sure I was not logged in, made sure I was tho in the options to automatic download updates, it quickly turned all my unauthorized DLC to authorized.

I will not log in this time, in either the options page or log in screen. (mac user)

... I keep having this problem and have already sent several messages to support the Bioware / EA and they just repeat the same words and procedures that gave no result so far.

The commercial rights to Bioware / EA are preserved by its licensing system, but what about our rights as customers? I just get the Drageon Age 2 and I will return and ask for my money right back, as I have no more confidence in these companies ... Or maybe get cracks for products that I paid!?

This is ridiculous, where is any representative of the Bioware / EA in this forun? Speaking among us is good, but their absence in the discussions shows how little is their case to our condition.

The game since the DRM troubles crashes to Windows. It never did that before.

I have a slightly different issue. I've been unable to log in at all. If I click to see my online profile, it goes to the page fine, but when I click on the Log In tab in the bottom left of the menu screen, I type in my email and password, hit enter, get the Terms of Service screen, agree, then I get the following error message:

System Error. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact EA customer support.

This has been going on for the last several hours. I'm trying to install the retail version of DAO-UE. My cd key shows up in the game tab of the configuration utility, DAUpdater has been started and set to Automatic, I've tried in both Win7 and Compatibility mode (WinXPSP3), my DLC content shows up fine on my registered games page, and it shows up in the DLC menu in-game, albeit, unauthorized, since I can't log in to authorize it. I've also permitted the game access through my firewall.

I just did a clean install of Win7 64 last week, and DAO-UE was the first, and so far only, game I've got installed.

Are the servers currently down for maintenance, keeping me from logging in, or what?

 Still having the same problems, every time I click refresh twice, the downloadable contents disappear, and sometimes the "unauthorized" goes off, but whenever I try to load the game it still asks me to login to authorize the DLC. Can't log off since I just reinstalled the game so need verification:crying:

Still not working. Items seem ok but "The Stone Prisoner", "Return to Ostager" and "Warden's Keep" all say unauthorised the rest are ok and seem to be functioning properly.
