The way I got it to work with the ultimate ed was as to check the Download previously purchased content box in options. When I went and looked in the dlc section. The entire available content section was cleared out and installed content came in as authorized.

I also bought the ultimate edition just today, and all the DLC that comes with it is unauthorized. Does anyone find a way to hot fix this issue yet? i dont wanna get too far into the story without the full content of the game first.

the editing in the xml file worked, although this is pretty disgraceful if the customer have to manually set the settings from 1 to 0. I wished bioware put more effort in fixing the buggs in Dragon age Origin instead of rushing the release of dragon age II.

Deleting the XML apparently just bypass the authorization servers, but renders the DLC totally unusuable I.E shales, and DLC content is gone. This freaking sucks >.> i think i'mma gonna go get my money back cuz this is a unfinished product.

I purchased the ultimate edition yesterday, and I am still playing without the DLC I paid for.

no really I want to be able to load my save file and beat the game this is the tech support fourm is it not why is there no response? I've basically purchased your game twice!!!! the collectors edition back in the day and the ultimate edition for all the dlc, what do i get? a game that doesn't work thanks Bioware for the great game but please help

I understand your frustration.  However, this forum is for gamers to help fellow gamers.  For official support, go to support.ea.com, click "Contact Us", log in, and report your issue.  That's how you'll get an official response from EA/Bioware.

I was gonna buy the Ultimate Edition on Steam, just to avoid digging out my retail copies every time I want to play, but these authorization bugs have made me decide against it.

BTW, can non-included DLC like The Edge be used with the Steam copy as long as you login to the same account?

ok so all of my dlc except wardens keep and return to ostagar are working, but those are the two i want to play! I have tried everything i've found to get it working and they dont... i could deal with this as a technical fault for a while if it wasnt for my DLC page telling me i can buy them if i want, NO I DONT WANT TO BUY THEM! I ALREADY OWN THEM

Yes.  If it does not automagically install, you can install it manually.  The Edge, Lions Paw, and others are free for anyone to use.  See the roundup linked to my sig below, and about halfway down the first post is a link to the Dragon Age wiki, which has a good tutorial on manual DLC installation.

ok so now after editing the xml file they all no longer say unauthorized..BUT none of them work what do. i have always liked bioware but cmon this is not good workmen ship. to have to have some1 go into the xml files to manualy change them. then after doing that they still dont work. if any1 knows how to make this work i would be really happy. being a college student i dont have much free money or time and when i have it and i spend it i expect it to work. i played this game on my computer b4 on a friends account and just bought it for my self so im useing other save files but that should not effect it, so con bioware fix it plz

Just gamers here like you.  Official support is at support.ea.com.  Click on "contact us" and login, then follow the instructions.

So I did this and all my DLC are now authorized and the issue seems to be solved on my end, however, my "Available Content" is now empty with no items... that cant be normal? Or was all the available content included in the the Ultimate Edition? OH and all the DLC do work for me even after changing the XML, guess it's a hit or miss.. doesn't makes sense but oh well.. I hope they get this problem solved and release a patch so it works for everyone, it's pretty aggrevating to not get what you pay for... I still feel ripped off... I would still like to know if I should have Items in the Available Content section of Downloadable Content after doing this fix.

same here but appears i managed to fixed, for me at least, hope it works for someone here.

it is just thee dlc service in our system, it seems to be installed but is not active, actually i founded unactive and in manual mode, so... go to services administration tool and change it to active and automatic. (open wih services.exe, or find it with rigth click on my computer then administration option and serach the services tab)

This is how i could managed to download and authorice my dlc, and i can play the other campains too... cya

im so gonna cry i have had enough if my partner cant do it then i have no idea what on earth to do some of the dlc has downloaded but everything is still unorthorised. i cant load any games or make a new one without it saying the content aint gonna be there also theres no sign of the awaking game. sooo i have bort the unlimited edition and what 4??? to get stressed and have no game to play and i have been waiting ages 4 the game as well x
