I searched all that I could, and I am sure I am not searching/googling the terminology correctly.

Is there any way to color code item's by quality? I have gotten to where I pick up anything and everything. When I finally get to camp to sort through things, I get crosseyed from all the different items. Some have no stat's, some do, some are set items, etc. Is there any way to color coordinate the items for ease of selling?

That way I can get rid of the low quality items, and spend my time looking through the ones that might provide a bonus for my characters.

Thank you in advance, and I apologize in advance if this has been discussed before.

No simple way to do it i think. DA2 seems to have gone the route of assigning differently coloured item icons based on how good the item in question is, which could be emulated in DAO easily enough, but would require manual changes to lot of items.

I was fearing that. Thank you for your response though! Maybe one day I will have enough time to tinker around and get my feet wet in creating mod's and try to make this one!

Poking around some more, there's semi-relevant article on the Builder wiki:

http://social.biowar...ipt:ItemExamine

As no color argument is used for the the header's text, any attempt to color the item name is ultimately for nothing. If you use HTML

font
tags to color the item's name, it will be colored in other parts of the UI, but not here. There is also a length restriction to item names in the toolset, which may interfere with this approach. However, one can use
<font color='#rrggbb'>text</font>
to color item descriptions currently, where
rrggbb
refers to the chosen RGB value.

The part about colour code being taken into account in areas of UI other than item description popup makes it sound like it could actually be possible to have item names show up in various colours in the inventory and loot screens. It would possibly still require editing names of actual items, unless you went and modified the script(s) in question to do it automatically based on some criteria.

Ahh, thanks! I appreciate you doing what you could to find this out for me. =) I am starting to tinker around with mod's more and it is interesting what can and cannot be done.
