Hard to be a console fanboy while also having a pc.....but ok. My argument was that all 3 versions will be great games. I play enough on my pc so I chose to go ps3 for dragon age and i really don't care much for mods. Glad I at least always get a rise out of the basement dwellers though. Makes meh giggles :o....so back to toms game diary.....good read for basement dwellers and apparantly console fanoys like myself.

Very good read. Thanks for sharing the link.

One question though: Why does he keep saying "After the jump, blah blah blah"? What does that even mean?

The first paragraph or so of each article appears on the homepage, so by saying after the jump he is trying to entice you to click the link to read the full article. .The original poster of this thread just linked to the full article.

Oh, I'm not getting on to you or anything. I really do find it funny. I don't partake of much of the "fanboi" crap. So when I see it I find it truly amusing. :D I own a PC and an Xbox 360. Does that make me a Microsoft Fanboi? I don't know! :D

There is no debate.

The PC version has more content: FACT

More content = better version: FACT

problem solved.

Want to play it on console? be my guest doesn't bother me, but you will be missing out on new content that I will not be.

Not sure how it answers the debate. He had the 360 copy to review, he played the 360 copy.

It shows that Tom is having a great time with the 360 version and stated he has been glad he can hang out on the couch instead of in front of his computer monitor more than a few times. He is enjoying the 36 version even though he stated he prefers pc gaming with these types of games. Fact is, the pc fanboys on this forum are just over run and irrational, for pc fanboys, the 360 and ps3 versions are worthless....which is not going to be true. All 3 will be great games and for those of us who don't give a damn about mods, the console versions look to be just as good in all aspects. Still comes down to playing it on whichever system you like, shouldn't be a debate, I could care less if the many pc players on this forum still in their moms basement at age 30 keep telling me that my PS3 version will be terrible.

Haha, "still in their mom's basement". classic. I get it. Because they have  a PC and refuse to play the game on a console. So they must be immature losers that have nothing better to do than live in their mom's basement playing games all day long. That's an awesome conclusion. Sort of like it's video games and music responisble for school shootings and suicides. I'd have loved to have known you 20 years ago when the DnD witch hunt was in full swing. You'd have been a riot. I love people like you. You're all just so entertaining. First you talk about the Rampant PC fanboism then you go on to show that you're a fanboi yourself by using a Console Fanboi's argument. classic. Love you guys. So much free entertainment.

EDIT: Joel, saw your response above. Hope you'll just laugh at this and we won't need to engage in a flame war.

Dude. Get a Xanax or something next time you emerge from your mom's basement to buy Cheetos and Mountain Dew.:D

I jest, but you should chill out a bit. He's referencing the psychos on this forum who are spazzing about how horrible the consoles will be and how the PC will reign triumphant forevermore. What's great about Tom's diaries is that he states that the game is great on the 360--which is fantastic for those of us who just don't care enough to spend money to upgrade their PCs anymore.

And I know the PC mafia will be breathing down my neck for this, but I don't live off my parents in college or grad school, I have a job (quite a profitable one, thanks) and other expenses that mean that I really don't want to spend the money, though I may have it, on the ONLY FIVE HUNDRED BUCKS OMG YOU CONSOLE IDIOT upgrade I would require. If it's good on the console I'll be happy enough, and maybe I'll buy it for my macbook pro in a year so I can play around with the mods.

It's a quirk of fidgit.com If you go to the main page, you get a lot of intros to longer articles, each one ending with some variation of "more after the jump". Unfortunately, the full articles also contain that text.

? Are u serious? The graphics, controls, numbers of enemies, toolset, mods, the PC version is vastly superior in every way, this is all but certain. Dillusional Console fanboy FTW.

Him having a good time does not change the fact, the Pc has certain advantages in controls, hot keys, graphics, modding then console. If u think its just mods, then you must think Bioware is lying.

As for moms basement, PC gamers are usually older and have money, it is the console gamers who usually live with mom and dad, but, dont let facts get in the way of your ignorance.

Why do you always have to resort to this childish debate about console vs pc?  Grow up.

EDIT: And for the record I am a diehard PC gamer.  Never owned a console in my life, and never will.  But learn some respect for folks who aren't like you.  You make us PC gamers look like tools.  Your behavior is totally unwarranted, and unwanted.

If u read the guys post, you would understand, blantant console fanboyism, and straight out infactual. Has nothing to do with beign a PC fanboy, more to do with console fanboys cannot handle the truth regarding PC and console. Why is it so hard to fathom, newer hardware and controls, plus the versatility of the PC give it more options? Not rocket science.

Do you think maybe you could have a conversation with someone who disagrees with you without resorting to juvenile namecalling, and moronic one-liners?  I understand what you are saying, and I think a lot of other folks do as well.  My problem is with HOW you say it!  I'll say it one more time:  Grow up.

Just read what he's posted so far and I can't wait to read his other entries!
I think I would have used the same tactics he tried for his fifth time. I almost always play a mage, so I have a talent for leading the enemy into carefully choreographed death-traps (read: my tanks with their shiny, pointy objects).

Fun fact. I do the same with an HD cable connected to my tv and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Also I'm not going to debate console vs PC, its useless. They both have their advantages and disadvantages compared to each other. And suprise suprise people have different tastes. Only thing I don't get is the need to shove their opinions down another persons throat.

People have been doing it since the begining of time, man. It will never change. Best just laugh about it and move on. Also, throwing in a head shake, while laughing, will make you seem condecending. I don't reccomend that

I'm a "console fanboy" myself, in that I prefer to play games on consoles when I can. I like to be comfortable when I play, with a nice chair and a gamepad or joystick as the case may be.

I know very well that if I get Dragon Age for PS3 or 360 I'll be playing the inferior version of the game, but I can appreciate a piece of entertainment in its own medium. PC gaming is great, I loved making dungeons in NWN, but I work on computers all day and I really dislike the keyboard/mouse setup. Can't explain why, its just not what I'm used to, I guess.

If DA:O turns out to be a sensation I might consider getting the PC version later... but now that I've cultivated a small amount of programming and design skill I'd much rather work on my own projects instead of mods for a game. It's a good way to get your feet wet with modeling and scripting though.

Very nice. I'm glad I don't have to farm for potion ingredients. That makes my life easier (and I hate grinding so, win/win!)

Actually, it can also be a bad thing, this is an RPG, for RPG'ers, not a rpg, that action gamers would normally like, just to play Devils advocate. it can mean it lacks as an RPG, we'll see.

Unless you read the article.

He liked it for the strategy, not the action.
