You know, denial, anger, acceptance.

I know a lot of you guys were in the Denial phase before the game came out (look at all those funny necroposts!) and after the first few weeks, then I've seen a lot of you join me in the Anger phase. Some are even in the Bargaining phase, no wait thats Bioware giving free games for this one...Do you guys think we'll reach acceptance soon, that Bioware is a necrotized zombie and the RPG legacy they championed during their life is gone? If we support each other we can get through that Depression stage before the Acceptance without destroying our lives...I believe in us.

Still trying to like it, struggling, sometimes I've finally given up, and accepted it, sometimes I play a bit, or browse these forums.

It's strange how much I liked DA due to DA:O, and how quickly Bio managed to change that ~

My grudge against Bioware for giving themselves to EA is eternal. At this point in the DA2 cycle, I'm on the 'Uninstall and Burn' stage.

Well, I'm pretty sure I've already accepted that DA2 is a lame, half-baked game.
Not making any efforts to like it, and it certainly hasn't destroyed my life.
But it kinda shattered the "Bioware can do no wrong" illusion.

I hear you friend, I really tried to like it too. Spent a lot of time to customize Hawke so I'd like it, made him a 2H warrior like I always do on my first playthroughs (when available cant say I did it with ME lol). Actually I beat DA:O so many times Ilost count...it certainly was my favorite game of the decade.

And the funny thing is, my favorite game of the decade before that one was Baldur's Gate 2...how the mighty have fallen.

Who will take Bioware's chair as king of the WRPG market now? Can anyone even do it?

I don't know about depression, but I am seriously disappointed. I will say that I think I took an extra blood pressure pill when I played it the first time through and that took me a while..LOL! I am playing it a second time through taking my time and I admit that I added a couple of mods to make it more interesting. I am trying my best to give it a chance but really haven't changed my opinion yet and doubt that I will. The only real fun I had out of this debacle was waiting in line and anxiously awaiting my turn to get my copy, least I felt like a kid again. oh well...

I still post here so not apathy, but it sure does feel like it. I've pretty much checked out of the series now, even tho when I was playing Awakenings, I was thinking how the DA series would be the only RPG i'd ever need again.

How quickly things change... when you press the AWESOME button

Meh - it doesn't really bother me - I'm still a Bioware fan - it's like your sports team having a bad year, no big deal unless the trend continues...after a few years you expect them to fire the coach

oh man.. i realy hoped for Drakensang 3 to take this place...
Drakensang 1 was good and Drakensang 2 was great

But NOOO - you know what ????- Deja VU :
Radon Labs was bought by BigBoint GmbH (i can see some patter here) and now we have this:

http://www.gamersdai...pring-2011.html

Instead of Great RPG Drakensang 3 we will get another boring online game.
Do i have to explain this further ?

This, exactly. Bioware is a company which is a subsidiary of a larger company. Dragon Age 1, 2 and probably 3 are games.

I've enjoyed the games Bioware has produced for the most part. I don't wish anyone involved with them ill. I hope they will continue to produce games I will enjoy playing.

The quality of my life is not dependent upon anything with which Bioware, EA or any of their constituent parts are involved.

Hope that helps.

I have simply run out of ****s to give. And I didn't have all that many to begin with.

Guess it's Acceptance.

I don't like what they've done with Dragon Age 2 and the direction they seem to be heading.

It's all too reminiscent of other great developers who were EAten and later went bust.

I see DA 2 for (what I think) it is, a mediocre game developed quickly in order to capitalise on the success of DA:O and make a handy buck.

But there's no need to take it as a personal affront.

I guess I'm in acceptance then?

acceptance is when you can laugh about it right? I've been there since the motivational posters thread.

Dunno what stage I'm at, not played DA2 for nearly a week, out of the triple A games that I have that has to be the shortest stint in a game, I guess I'm at the "Oh well, onto the next"

Too busy playing(and enjoying) my free copy of ME2 (which i never bought, not being much of a mouse/eye shooter type).
But I have a small amount of hope that once i finish ME2 a decent set of fan made mods will be available to make a second DA2 playthru possibly, maybe semi enjoyable.

Been reading up about EA, seems they are in a bit of a financial trouble and there is a possibility of it becoming a takeover target. Possible suiters are Microsoft( hello xbox) or maybe even Apple, which would show that Apple is making the big move to bring out some sort of iconcole. Either way bad news for us PC types. What I would love is for Bioware to do a Management buyout.

Oh trust me ! I have tried hard, but at the moment it is not possible to like DA2. May be after playing worst or more bad games I may try it again, then by some magic. I might accept it. BUT for the moment it is still DISAPPOINTMENT phase.

And Ofcourse this

The "Money is staying in my pocket next time" stage.

This.

I'm not mad, or anything else.  Bioware had credit built up with me from past games.  They used all of that credit with this game.  They no longer get the benefit of the doubt that a game will be a of high quality.
