quite interesting really - i was looking into medical dictionaries and none of them mention it as a ILLNES
here is for example what i found

Depression
a mental state of altered mood characterized by feelings of sadness, despair, and discouragement

You know reading doesnt hurt go try it

Ok, you know what, you're right, its not an illnes, just a mental disorder Image IPB

PS: Thats how the WHO and the DSM-IV qualify it.

I went through no stages like that. The only thing was the unsatisfying ending.

^not only that, but even manic depression, as a health condition, isn't a mental illness, it's a physical illness (a chemical imbalance, to be precise)[/quote]

So, let me get this straight....the people who are grieving in this topic are NOT nerds. They are sufferers from a mental disorder and/or a physical illness?

Wow, way to improve things, I'm actually getting funny looks in the office for laughing out loud for real. Image IPB

Are you just pretending to be willfully dense?

We are consumers, unhappy with a product we've been anticipating for a YEAR, and payed 60 bucks for.  In the meantime,  the thread starter put forth the known/accepted stages of grief  and then asked us  to apply these stages to our feelings, as consumers and discuss them.

I have no clue how you've come to the bizzare conclusion that any of us are suffering from an illness, but if you continue to call us *sick*, I'm going to get a moderator in here put an end to your personal attacks.

ROFLMAO!

Its really funny how people read what they want and disregard whatever doesnt suit them, honest. The qualifications of disorder and illnes came from others, YOU for one. I did not come up with the whole depression angle, I just commented on it. I didnt come up with the whole ridiculous grieving angle, I just consider it unhealthy.

But by all means, go get a moderator, I didnt attack anyone, I simply called this whole topic as I saw it and I will keep doing that.

PS: So, about that voice of the customer, do you have any comment?

Haha, I love these threads where people start arguing who can better describe a word that has nothing to do with the game and then insult eachother just to show that they think they are smarter.

Please do continue, before this post gets locked.

It's Star Wars: Episode 1 all over again!

Anyway, I'm at the acceptance stage. At first, I was so incredibly disappointed, it felt like a train had hit me head on. I've now accepted that Dragon Age 2 is mediocre, nothing more.

I think BioWare is still in the Denial stage. They have yet to admit they went the wrong way with DA2's development and they have yet to apologize to the consumer.

Heck at week 2 of C&C4's release EA had already started apologizing and handing out refunds to anyone who wanted them and then fired the entire C&C4 Dev Team.

So in regards to acknowledgement and acceptance with BioWare... well they are behind the ball that they dropped. What's worse is they are pretending that they didn't drop the ball. The ref has already blown the whistle but BioWare just picked the ball up and is still trying to make a Touchdown.

STHU BioWare, you lost your Jedi powers when you went to The Dark Side (EA). You aren't fooling anyone anymore. Dragon Age 2 sucked more balls than a Veitnamesse hooker during 'Nam.

I woudnt blame EA only. I blame "the core design team" including  Mr. "Awesome Button" Mike Lollawl for this mess. As long as he is involved in game design, the Dragon Age license will not see a penny from me.

Acceptance and no hope is my stage, I just came to understand why it's happening the way it's happening and I know that in real world, there are real processes that lead to such events, no matter how much my "fantasy" world suggests otherwise. At least I'm not expecting anything anymore, which is good, no need to waste your expectations on mere "ways to pass the time" that we used to call "games".

Believe me, I fully realize EA has it's share of guilt in this fiasco, but I also believe that the new direction (Mr Laidlaw being the major culprit) is to blame for this. He's the one who came out with the idea to make everything ''awesome'' and streamlined. As if that wasn't enough, I think we can agree his arrogant attitude towards the fanbase is unfit of the quality of the later, Bioware fans have always been supportive, appreciative and knowledgeable about the market and don't deserve to be treated like fair weather kids who don't know better than to question the absolute truth of his gospel.

PS: MrTijger, if all you're going to add to this conversation is calling people nerds or telling us how stupid we are, then please feel free to not post in this particular thread. I assure you, the rest of the forum, heck the rest of the internet is yours for the taking.

You would probably love thread I created while back then before tijger went on one of his hissy fits came in and got it locked by name calling the people having the discussion.

http://social.biowar...5/index/6919590

He is the one who pushes for threads to be closed by dubious tactics such as name calling and fits of rage whenever someone disagrees with him. He admits he comes on here only to argue in my thread before he and his allies got it locked. However the forums mods/devs said it was fully acceptable to reopen my thread so the content/discussion of the topic was fine by them, only the few who used name calling thought it should be closed. Everything he says is always filled with destain for others of a different opinion, thats just how he is.
