This is really odd.

I was playing the game earlier, and the game froze. I forced it to quit, which might consequently messed up something.

I tried relaunching the game. Nothing showed up.  I rebooted my computer, and then I was able to open the game again. However, a critical error happened:

I lost all my saves, logs, and personalized gameplay setups. Everything was in its initial default setting, and the "load" button was grey. It was like the first time I opened the game after installization.

I checked the folder document/Bioware/Dragon Age II,  none of the files was missing or broken (I tried copying the whole folder and pasting to another Mac with Dragon Age 2 installed, it was able to load every single save that I had earlier).

Assuming it's the game program that had crashed, I reinstalled the game -- for 3 times, which didn't fix anything.

It's ridiculous. No matter how many times I try, the game seems to have gotten another location to store saves and other logs, refusing to access document/Bioware/Dragon Age II. I've moved my old saves (the entire document of "Bioware" to an external hard drive), and completely deleted the game before reinstalling it. I tried starting a new game and saving the game, so as to see if the game can save properly -- Yes, it does, but none of the files is stored under document/Bioware/Dragon Age II. The folder "Dragon Age II" is utterly empty (except for ".DS_Store," as I've made hidden files show). But for some reasons I can still save and load in the game (no matter how many times I've deleted the whole game program, so the save files must be stored somewhere else)!! I also tried searching for the save files by "Find." Nope, there is nothing. They don't really exist on my computer!!??

It's not just about save files. Mods don't work anymore either.
From my observation, I assume the problem is that the game program doesn't recognize the folder document/Bioware/Dragon Age II. Is it a problem of my computer?

Help please!!!
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried renaming the folder to "Dragon Age 2" instead? My folder in Documents is named that way instead of Dragon Age II.

Oh, sorry, that's a typo. My folder is named "Dragon Age 2" as well, instead of ""Dragon Age II."
