Sorry, no can do. The art guys only get paid to make one gender of a fictional race. Just ask the qunari, turians, or krogan.

A male desire demon. Hmmmm. As a woman, I would not object especially if he were buff and scantily clad. Just think about it. He wouldn't even need a tail.
Why not? Isn't a little tail a good thing?

After all... if we can't kill it and/or have sex with it... there's no point to having it in the game.
Now if you'll excuse me, there is an end-table in my living room that has been giving me the eye all evening, wearing that low-cut doily...

You do know that desire demons can choose any form they wish? As a matter of fact, if you play the Darkspawn Chronicles, you find out a little something interesting with Wade and Herren.
WAIT... WHAT?!
LINK NAO!
EDIT: Just watched it... HOLY ****!
That isn't canon, BTW. Wade's only a desire demon in that DLC.
ETA: Correction. Herren. Not Wade.
It makes sense though, since all Herren cares about is profits.
Who knows, maybe he's a blood mage who has successfully hidden himself. Denerim does have a sizable undergound cult of blood mages after all.

I suppose one reason comes down to cost, and what you'd have to remove just to have an Adonis like desire demon. Given that the desire demons had a small role to play in DA 2 I daresay it's fair to keep them as is. Unless a particular desire demon has an important role to play in the story (and even then pride demons are all the same, mind) I'd never want two models for desire demons.

Your opinion has some merit... *scratches chin*
What do you want removed from DA 3?

Actually I'd like to see a female Pride demon (or at least female sounding) over a male desire demon.

I wouldn't mind a bewildering variety of looks for all demons, but I definitely won't lose any sleep over a lack of them if it meant taking away time for more relevant NPC/environments etc. As it is DA 2 has super low res guy/corpse and super reused dungeons as features. What would have been sacrificed if they were more varied?

This,
Disks only have limited space, not to mention the time and money issues that come with developing a game. If anything, Bioware probably chose a female model for the Desire Demon simply because they wanted a demon with a face that they could animate.

LOL I think there is something else a little interesting there.
Edit: Anyway, to comment on the subject, I think it would be interesting to see variations on all of the demons. Especially ones that are supposably greater than just the standard ones, I never pictured all demons looking exactly the same myself.
Male desire demons, yess.

Well it'd certainly be effective.
Hawke: Okay, okay, deal!
Female forf desire demon: What is it that you wish for, mortal?
Hawke: I wish for you to put some sodding clothes on!

I don't know. In Origins, the humans and elves had a weird body shape where they kind of lacked hips. Dwarven women at least had a feminine shape. I'm speaking as a straight woman, but I thought the dwarven women were more aesthetically appealing.
