Regardless, having something equally prevalent (as you yourself imply) does not make it biased by definition.
So, a setting that had as many dragons as humans would not make it biased towards dragons?
As for someone deciding to buy the game or not-- if that's an implied threat, by all means it is indeed correct that everyone is free to base their purchasing on whatever criteria they like.
Actually it was not. As you can see, I already bought it and I don't regret it. I like the game, although I don't love it, as I did DAO. But for very different reasons... I don't that much for in-game sexuality.
Even if that's the existence of content they aren't interested in or don't with to use, but which other people might like. Maybe that makes you feel uncomfortable?
Not at all. Otherwise I would feel very uncomfy at most of all the parties I go to, but that's content for even 'less privileged' boards...*LOL*
I imagine there's a lot of content in a mature-rated game that could make someone feel uncomfortable, and quite frankly we don't install toggles for any of it.
That's OK with me, but what about an indepenent FF-toggle ;-)?
Insofar as purchasing goes, however, I can easily imagine there being just as much economic value in providing something for an underserviced market as there is in providing content for an overserviced one... but that would be a bit logical leap to make no matter which way you look at it, as I'm certain the reasons people buy games is usually not so focused on a single issue.
As a believer in the effincency of free markets, I am sure you (as BW/EA) would know better than me.
And now it seems a thread which I'm not certain was even all that serious has brought out a bit of ugliness. I suggest people either tone down the rhetoric or head elsewhere.
Freedom may sometimes be ugly, but always worth it.
