After seeing the ME2 give away via having Dragon Age 2 i decided to download Mass Effect so i could play the original before the sequel, however this is where my issue is formed. Upon starting up ME I'm met with " utility configuration has stopped working " and then it closes, this is rather annoying as i've read you cannot carry through charachters to ME2 if you cannot config this.
To play i've been opening it through the ME Folder, however i'm not to fond of continuing to do so. I've read some peoples posts on the forums that mention something about 1.02? Or something of sorts, however i am unable to find this patch and download it (maybe not looking hard enough?) i'm considering uninstalling the downloaded version and simply buying another copy from a game store and hope that works out better?
I would appreciate any assistance on this matter.
Edit: I doubt it would help but i downloaded it from GAME (UK store)
