So, in this playthrough, I'm trying to rivalmance our favorite choirboy, and lawd, it seems like pickins are slim! I'm just about at the end of Act II, I haven't chosen even ONE flirtatious option with ANY other character, my rivalry with him is totally maxed out, and I've had only one opportunity to flirt with him, and his response, while cute, was probably lukewarm at best.

Is there some kind of esplosion of Sebasian love in Act III, or did I miss the boat on this one?

I've never romanced Sebastian, but as far as I know, there's no love scene with him. Not even a kiss.

Yes, I've heard this too. People have said there doesn't seem much depth to the 'relationship'.

On the friendship path, he will propose a "chaste marriage". He stays a brother in the chantry, and wants you to dedicate yourself to the chantry too.

On the rivalry path, he offers what amounts to a political marriage after he has successfully retaken Starkhaven.

No kisses or sexytimes are possible with his character. Go to youtube and watch if you want to save yourself the trouble, or to see what you can expect. I was planning to romance him, but after watching the videos, I didn't think it was worth it. You might feel differently though. :D

Sounds like a losing situation for Hawke.

I don't think rivalmance is a losing situation- i have seen the vid on youtube, and it's not as cold a proposal as people like to let on- it's just very formal and proper. And you have to figure he'll need heirs, so...

Honestly, I could have made do without the sexytimes - I mean, the sexytimes in DA2 are pretty tame compared to DA:O. But jeez, one kiss would have been nice. I'm at the beginning of Act III, just finished Faith, and I don't know - there's not a whole lot of passion or intensity. He acts kind of surprised and flattered in response to flirting (there have only been three flirt options so far, and I've taken them all), and while he seems amenable to a Prince/Viscountess marriage, he's definitely not falling all over himself for it. I wouldn't have minded so much if they'd given you more dialogue opportunities with him, or at least have had him come to your house - or you know, console you when your mom died aside from some dialogue that doesn't even involve a cut scene.

I really like Sebastian as a character, but they cheaped out on the romance!

Keep in mind that Jennifer Helper has said that Sebastian's story is not done yet. I'm not saying that there will ever be sexy time, but if his story isn't finished and he's proposed a political marriage the possibility is certainly there. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

At least a kiss would be nice for the rivalmance and maybe a hug for the chaste/friendship part. Shame we cant have a mod for this. Hopefully there will be more for Seb in upcoming DLC's or DA3. He is one of my favorite.
