as title get this error ever time i try and play the game and this is my forth time of trying to install ME2. the first 3 times the EA downloader for some reason wouldnt unzip the game. But now i get the game installed it come out with

EXE Loader
awc.dll load failed

I'm having this same issue. When I open my EA dl manager it recognizes my downloaded games, and displays ME2 as being accessible... However this is not the case. I thought it was my copy of Norton causing the issue, so I turned it off then began to reinstall... Still a no go after that, and see the following error, "awc.dll load failed". If I see this error pop up one more time I'ma gonna flip. open to suggestions...

It's most likely an issue with Abode Air, was a common issue at ME2 release. See the linked thread for troubleshooting.

Think I got it resolved finally. I've seen multiple posts about it in other forums about it being adobe air related... However it was not the issue for me. I downloaded the latest updates of adobe air but nothing was working for me... Rather it was because I didn't have the 2005 version of C++... I re-downloaded every version of C++ to trouble shoot the problem. Go figure I had both 2k8 & 2k10 versions just not 2k5. Thank God cuz I was about to freakin break something lol

If someone still has the AWC.dll problem, for example because he installed Mass Effect 2 with the new EA Origin Downloader follow this workaround:

I followed the instructions in the last post of the first page up to step 5) and since then ME2 runs flawlessly.
