I'd like to be able to run it from a thumb drive, so that I can take it from computer to computer. I don't have admin access to the systems I want to run it on.

I, too, feel the icy sting of no text on my buttons. Tried playing around a bit with what I assume are the graphic options buttons, with no luck.



Running 1.81 GHz AMD Sempron, two gigs of RAM, an NVidia graphics card I forget the actual specs on.

I cannot save. Whenever I return to the main menu, by clicking "Done" at the end of character creation or by restarting the program, the option to modify an existing character is greyed out. (Despite clicking the "Save" button before clicking "Done" and being informed by the program that the save was successful.) It does not save my settings either, reverting the resolution and quality sliders to default every time the program is restarted.

Additionally, attempting to upload a character from the last screen of character creation causes the program to crash. I'm running Win7 RC x64, Radeon HD 4870.

when i try to upload from the creator, it says im not logged in. when i try to log in it won't let me.

"Unable to find supported Graphics Card" and closes, It's a Radeon 9500 Pro, is it just to old? Or is it having problems detecting my card? Everything else passes the recommended requirements.

I was getting a "Error opening file for writing" message too, then I stopped using Express install, and tried Custom install and that worked for me.

ive got a decent graphic card though i made need a new one anytime i try to run this character creator though it fails to detect a video card

I have been trying to upload a character since yesterday and the only thing that happens is a message that states "There was an error when trying to access your online storage" or something to that effect.

I can log in via the game, no problems. I have merged my Bio account to the EA Master Account. I can log in to the Social site, to the Bio forums, to EA and through the game, what else do I need to do to be able to upload a character??? I really hope that there is not another place that needs an account...

I enter my email address and password, but the "Log In" and "Create New Account" options are still greyed out and not selectable.

Do you have any non-alphanumeric characters in your password?  If you do, this is probably the same problem I mentioned earlier in the thread.  The Character Creator seems to have a problem with symbols in passwords.

If you don't mind, would you try changing your EA password to something using only alphanumeric characters and posting back here whether or not that lets you log in from the CC?

This nailed it, almost deserves a sticky/bug fix

      I figured it out. You need to register your e-mail address to an ea account to be able to login in.

I am another person who cannot get a character to upload. But I do not get any error messages. It looks like it worked, but the characters do not appear. It has been over 24 hours too.

I found an issue, but it might be more of a glitch, when changing features during character creation.



When I finally got my toon's chin, jaw and cheekbone set, I went to select the beard type, and the cheekbones reset all the way to full left. I can get it to repeat every time, just by clicking and sliding the beard selector bar. Cheeks go way in and my guy looks like he's spent 3 months on a bread and water diet!

I tryed about 20 times and succeeded only once and each time it looked like it was done without any errors, I guess it's some server issue. Maybe try logging in and out and then repeat... I guess.

Yeah, the beard bug is common. Once you move it, all of your chin/jaw, neck & ear settings are gone and set to default again.



However, i'm experiencing another creation related bug on my Dalish Elf Warrior:

I gave him the tattoo that paints each half of the face in the negative of the other half. I grew bored with that, so i tried to change it - however, i can't.

I might change it in the creation, but after i save and load it, the old tattoo is there again. I even deleted the Elf and started a new one from scratch (with the same name though), but it didn't help

I have the same issue others have posted about the funkiness on the left side of the screen!



I wandered through the first 3 pages of the thread and didn't see any replies from Bio folks about any of the issues posted yet - is there any point in browsing the rest of the pages for official replies yet?

I've got no text on screen in the Character Creator. I also can't work out how to get the forum search function to return a post; the search just returns this thread; so somewhere has this been solved?
