I keep getting repeated server errors when trying to upload characters leading to some nice blacked out chars on my profile.

Now I'm running well within specs with good connection, tryed with firewall on/off, made sure the CC is excepted from firewall and tryed running it with the UAC disabled just in case.

Any ideas?

As an aside a way to delete those blacked out chars would be funky

I have uploaded all 3 of my characters twice this week and none of them have ever appeared in my account. I'm logged in and they seem to upload fine but they never appear. Any help?

The second character that I uploaded appears on my "profile page" as just the top line of the square that should hold her image. I can click that line, but I'm taken to a completely blank character screen (no items/image). the 3rd character appears as normal beside her. and the 4th and 5th appear side by side without issue later. Character #2 appears fine on my "Player Profile page" (rounded images with name/origin/etc.) though

can't upload
the char creator says that I'm not loged in and can't upload but when I press on the onlien profil button firefox opens my profil in a new tap. Dell laptop running windows xp sp3 2,2 core2duo and 8400m gs with newest drivers
please ignore this, I wasn't probably loged in it works now

Two problems I experienced that have already been mentioned:



1.) If your password contains non-alphanumeric characters, such as, for example, # or &, you cannot successfully login to your account. It mentions a "System error". The current remedy is to change your password to one that does not use any symbols, but this should not be a longterm solution.



2.) The character portrait settings are not saved between sessions.

I have the same problem as a few others - the characters won't upload. There's no system error message, the game just minimizes and a window to my profile is opened up. I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a message telling me my character is currently being uploaded or not, but at the moment, there's no way of telling if it is.

I seem to be having the same problem. Have been trying since Tuesday to upload my characters. No error message but nothing ever appears on my profile

Same problem here - character creation runs smoothly, as does the login to the site, but when I click "upload", the "uploading" message pops up but no character appears on the site.

Plus, I have the display issues that were already mentioned a couple of times (graphic artifacts on the left hand side of the screen, partially obscuring the character image). Running Windows XP Home SP 3 on AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ and Radeon X1900.

I changed the standard install path, since I have a separate hard disk for my games, maybe that's causing the upload problem.

Interesting on the install path. I'm going to uninstall and then install it in the default path tonight. We'll see if that fixes it.

Apparently there may be a delay in the upload, causing uploaded characters to be not immediately visible. I did nothing, but out of curiosity checked the player characters again about an hour later, and there she is.



Still have the graphics issue, though...

A rather odd one:



Whenever I turn off anti-analyzing, a lot of the textures on the character will simply become pitch black. The problem is instantly solved as soon as I turn back on anti-analyzing(even x2 will do), with no restart required.

Funny I had the same problem with artifacts on the left hand side of the screen. I'm using a radeon x1950 pro. It seems to be an issue with this range of cards. I found updating the drivers cleared up the problem though.

My characters have now uploaded though, strangely after posting here - and I've been trying for four days previous

I get the same problem intermittently. You upload a character, yet nothing happens. Wait a coupla hours, still nothing. Start Creator, log back in and BOOM! Character is uploaded. Very odd in all.

Sorry if they've been brought up:



1) Some performance degradation when sampling voices.

2) Some voice samples are either missing or clicking on the voice does not reliably trigger a sample.

3) Lip synching doesn't work on all voice samples, particularly screams and laughter.

I have downloaded the character creator, can play the movie, and start creating my character. At some point during creation, however, my whole computer turns off.

My specs:
Windows XP w/SP 3
Intel Core 2 6400 @ 2.13 GHz
2 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series with 1 GB RAM

I am running XP SP3.

All of my drivers are up to date.

The CC crashes whenever I select PLAY.  The picture comes up then the screen goes black.  XP then generates a notice that CC is closing with the option to notify MicroSoft.

The other options work great

I've noticed this as well I'm starting to think this only affects previously saved characters.. or maybe only those that have been uploaded before.

I’m finding that I’m getting tattoos put on my Dalish Elf character that I never saved.



when I return to the delete/modify character screen, my Dalish Elf has a tattoo. i.ve gone through the menu time and again removing it, saving & uploading it, she’s my avatar (without a tattoo) but when I return to the modify page she’s all tattooed up again.



I tried an experiment by giving her a tattoo, saved & when I went to the modify screen, it gave her the tattoo that is immediately to the right of the tat that I picked. I’ve since re-saved her without a tat but it’s back there.



It’s not game breaking but I don’t particularly want a tat on her when I play

Runs, but for some reason when I save my male Dalish Rogue and go to edit him later, his face tattoo is always the wrong one than what I set, and his portrait settings fall back to default. I don't have this problem with any of the other characters I created.

There is a way for you delete characters that you have uploaded, you have to be logged into the site and have your player profife page up, go to the games menu on the side and choose Dragon Age - PC (well for me anyway) above where your characters portrait would be there is a button called 'Manage Characters' click that and it will take you to another page, from that page you will be able to 'Manage' your uploaded characters.

On a side note, still not getting any portraits uploading for my characters
