I have a vista 32bit service pack 1 system with AMD phenom quad-core 9600, 3gig ram, ATI Radeon HD 3800. When I reopen the CC, my Dalish character has the first tattoo available on the slider underling the tattoo I selected.

It's a but of the CC, it resets tattoos. Nothing to do except waiting for a patch.

I've had no problems creating or uploading characters but I do get an occasional reset on my screen resolution on start up when I've used the Character Creator before the previous shutdown. I scanned the posts but didn't see that mentioned here.

i'm not absolutely sure this counts as a technical error, but, when creating a male human mage character, returning to the "hair" screen and browsing through the "beard" category will undo most or all of the former chin and mouth edits...
also, upon creating a female dalish elf character with a face tattoo (after successfully uploading her to the website) and reloading her in the program, she has an entirely different face tattoo (it appears to be a composite of two tattoos)...
i got around these glitches, no problem, but i wanted to bring attention to them, in case it was anyone's concern...
thanks for an awesome sneak-peek into the game through this character creator!

Unable to connect to the servers from within the Character Creator. "Log In" and "Create Account" buttons both remain grayed out.

When I click upload it seems like it is uploading but I don't get a message or anything it just returns to the character when it’s done. Do we even know if anyone from Bioware is reading this? I'd really like to get this fixed so I can have that ring they talked about when the game comes. I would certainly understand them being busier with getting the game out itself then worrying about things like this though.

I finally managed to get a character uploaded after endless days of getting the message that my online storage wasn't accessible. What did I do differently when my char was uploaded succesfully? I clicked on Restore Defaults in the Settings screens. Go figure.



I really hope I don't have to reset any settings in the full game to be able to upload a char to the Social Site.

I've seen a few others with this issue... Tried to save a character and was told I have to be logged in. I was logged in. I logged in to the social forums. I used the log-in button in the CC. Neither did squat -- still told I needed to be logged in. Do I need to get out my secret decoder ring and find out what the CC is really trying to tell me?

So now I have noticed a quirky little bug. When I try to log in on the front screen of the CC it just keeps trying to connect to the server. If I go through character creation it will log me in but then won't upload.

All my created characters eye color remain black no matter how far I move the slider, no matter the race or gender.   I have a Dell Inspiron 531S with an AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 5000 + 2.60 GHz.  Ram: 3.00 GB, 32 bit operating system. My Display Adapter is NVidia GEForce 6150SE nForce 430, Realtek High Definition Audio.  Operating on Windows Vista Home Premium 2007.  I know my system probably does not meet minimum requirements, so will have to wait to buy Dragon Age when I can install a better Graphics Card (unless someone has some good news for me!)  And thanks for letting us download the character creator in the meantime (I will have to play the game in my dreams until then).

I can't log in. The login button stays grayed out. I logged in once before and submitted a character, but that character is gone from my profile, and now the CC won't un-gray either the login button or the create account button



This is on Windows 7 (It was installed on the RTM of Windows 7, so it's not upgraded from Vista)

Aargh, nevermind, I figured out the login issue -- It doesn't play well with PeerBlock running, disabled it and now I get the login button. Still don't know why my character didn't get submitted last time, I'll try again

Once you are logged in to the Social Site there is a couple of menu's under your profile picture, if you hover the mouse over the 'My Games' Menu and choose Dragon Age PC, it should take you to your player profile, and show you the characters that you have uploaded.

Don't know what happened but when I logged in today my character had been uploaded! It took a couple of days but it worked!

Also when I run the Character Creator I get some strange black lines shooting through the screen and sometimes the character's eyes go all shiny and white or other strange and colorful things. Here are some of specs if somebody can help I would appreciate it.

I hastily typed in my log in information when attempting to upload a character from the CC. It failed to connect and I noticed that I had made a typo in my email address. The character creator would happily let me edit my password on the off chance I'd got that wrong, but it simply refused (greyed out, unclickable) to let me edit the email address I was trying to log in with. I had to restart the character creator in order to be able to re-enter my email address.

I'm now over two days and not one of my characters has been uploaded. Successfully log in through the CC, and don't get any errors when I hit upload. The CC seems to be working fine and haven't had any problems with any of the characters created. They're just not making their way onto the site. Tried running as Administrator, disabling firewall, anti virus etc..

Any one who can help will be greatly appreciated and will have praise heaped upon them.

Vista 64, 5600+, 1gb 4890, 4gb DDR2.

Edit: Scratch that, it took over two days to upload the characters but they got there eventually! Much happiness!

When first starting the CC, click on the options menu, then set your gamma slider to about 65, and see if that helps. The default gamma setting is about 50, a little darker.

I see at least 4 pics in your set up. Click on your "Firepepper avatar," (I like those) then click on "Profile" and then select "Change Profile Photo."
