 I'm having similar problems:

Beards - Apply a beard, lose your chin. Applying a beard completely resets the lower half of the face and makes it impossible to change it back. I could understand if it was a way to make sure the beard model fit the jaw, but even with the assigned chin there's a half-inch gap between flesh and fur.

I'm also having issues with the Beard Separation Event, as my girlfriend and I have come to call it.

I run into another beard/stubble issue. If you look at the presets, some of them have five'o'clock shadows or scruff on them already. Now, when you go to stubble to add stubble to them, the five'o'clock shadow suddenly disappears (over the lip in particular). I found this out whilst trying to recreate the character Daveth. In a new close-up shot, he appears to be utilizing both five'o'clock shadow and stubble. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to recreate this look in CC because of the disappearing five'o'clock/scruff portions. Thanks!

Everything works fine for me, except the reported beard issue. When trying to create males, adjusting their facial features works fine until I try to set facial hair. When I set facial hair, they revert back to the default settings (which seems remarkably sunken in btw...), the beard also disable the jaw/mouth sliders and I can't access them.

Other than that, no problems...Unfortunately I can't make any males with beards...Sad Razz is sad.

I'm not sure if someone's talked about this yet, but when I go to modify/delete characters to browse the ones I've made the facial geometry doesn't save and they just look like the templates. The skin/hair colors and tones all seem to be the same but none of the actual look saves.

My computer won't run the CC. I'm hoping to garner the lucky stone.

Some random internet people have suggested I can get it by uploading my character from the Xbox when the time comes.

Can someone with authority confirm if this will activate the Lucky Stone?

If you use Windows 7 you have to run the CC as Administrator. Without you can't upload characters.

You're not the only one with this problem.  I thought it might be my CPU (X2 4200+)  but seeing that it's doiing the same to yours and your CPU shouldn't be breaking a sweat there seems to be a problem here.   I wonder if this is AN AMD dual core specific issue?  Let's hope the game doesn't  use 100% CPU resources when idling.

Uploading is STILL not working for me. I've even tried creating a second account to access my primary account's profile page to force the server to process my upload. Nada.

I've deactivated all firewalls with no result. I can upload my character without any time out messages, but the uploaded character never appears on my profile page.

This is extremely frustrating.

I too can't get characters uploaded. The process seesm to go fine in-game, but it never actually shows up. Tried running as admin, didn't work

EDIT- I seem to have fixed it. The issue was steam- As soon as I deleted my shortcut from steam (as well as deleting the shortcuts folder into under steam config) things suddenly upload.

Same problem here, tho i have yet to see if the CC installed on steam work or not. The non-steam CC dosnt work for me.

Edit: using the CC on steam worked.

Running Windows 7 Pro RTM here as User and uploaded 7 without issue. UAC is at the default med-high level. Unless something has changed from RTM to retail/OEM, it should work, at least on 7 Pro.

My apologies if this has already been answered but my patience is at a breaking point and reading through 23 pages of hopelessness is impossible atm. When i try to log in through the CC, it recognizes that i have an account (presumably), offers up the Terms of Service which i of course accept and then it notifies me that the supplied password is somehow invalid. Only problem is its the correct password to a T. If i throw in a capital or a respective number instead of a symbol (or try a fake pass. all together), i dont even get to the Terms...it simply says 'no'...more or less. I have the CC installed through steam, with firefox 3.0.15 as my browser, admin account, and firewall turned off. Please assist...

"Failed to detect a supported video card." I just want to know what that means exactly and if there's anything I can do to fix it. Thank you.

Ok so computers aren't my strong suite, now that that's out of the way, I've installed the CC, and I run it, everything works fine with the Menu, music is running and all and when I click Play it says "Failed to Detect a supported Video Card."

Any chance of this character creator coming out for the 360? Cause obviously my computer isn't up to snuff.

Ah wonderful, I'm not alone!

I recomment trying this things:

1) Check, wether you video card match the minimum requirements. If youre unsure, post it here. Notebook users will have bad luck in most cases.
2) Update your video card drivers
3) Update DirectX - Yes, this includes users of Vista and Win7.
4) If you are familiar with editing configuration files, you could try to do so on the CC as well. Try to disable everything that looks like video card stuff by setting it to 0. Keep a copy of the original settings. The name is "DAOCharacterCreator.ini". Just search it at drive C:.

Hope, that helps.

Awesome, thanks so much Warrior. One more question if you can answer, is there anyway to carry this character into DAO for the XBOX 360? And if so how.

Also one more thing, I'm not having much luck finding the .ini file,

Within Win7 it's filled in the Documets tree, which is reachable from the start menu: Documents | My Documents | Bioware |  Dragon Age | Settings

User of other OS could try this: %homepath%\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings
