I am having issues loggging in the servers.
I know i am useing the right password but I am getting invalid password message.
It pops up after i agree to the EULA.
does the Character Creater allow specal charaters?
Is the authitication server down?

Randy, I know from personal experience that some special characters aren't recognized by the new Bioware boards. I was using a dollar sign, and underscore and an apostrophe and all logins worked except the BSN. So I changed my password to letters and numbers only and haven't had any issues logging in since.

Try that...

Can't upload any of my character other than the first one. I've tried many times with no result. WinXP Sp3, AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual. NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS.

Thanks Denlath Vestor that seems to do the trick.
Seems odd that they don't alow special charaters.

The CC runs well, but I have weird colors on the intro movie and a green light that shines on the right side of my character.

I don't know if this is normal or not.

AMD Athlon X2 6000, ATI Radeon HD 4850, 4GB Kingston RAM, Vista Home Premium x86 (picked up the wrong copy <_<)

I'd really like to buy the game, but this graphical anomaly has me concerned.  I've had no problems with Bioware games in the past though, but still.

Edited for typo.

I'm using the steam version of the CC. I can't save the characters. I can't upload them (it crashes). I can't even get the graphics settings to stay put when I exit and restart the program.

I upgraded to Win 7 and still had the same problem. Does anyone know if the CC conflicts with antivirus programs?

Not gonna look through the entire 25 pages so here goes:

1.) All elves have a small green dot at the base of THEIR left ears.

2.) All elves seem to have a pockmark on their right cheek (face, not ass) that the complexion and skin tone sliders can't fix. Not sure if that's intentional or not.

3.) Eye color is hard to see. It seems like there's 3 different black eye colors, because of the lighting.

4.) As said previously, the creator is waaay to dark. You can barely see the edges of your character, obscuring your full view of him/her.

5.) Needs more sound/music. Every time I start it up, I fear it's broken because there isn't any music.

Dwarf Male cheeks/jaw. Certain presets initially allow you to edit the cheeks/jaws. Altering facial hair (or other areas) makes the cheeks gaunt and prevents access to editing the cheeks/jaw section. Since facial hair does not morph to the face, this creates considerable gaps between the hair and the skin. Thus, we are forced to use preset faces in order to have realistic facial hair which defeats the point of such a detailed character creator.

I cannot seem to upload any of my characters. I've tried many times, still no dice. Is there a special trick to get it to work?

When I try to upload my character this message appears:

The requested player is not a member of the BioWare community or does not have any Dragon Age data.

Do you know how I might activate my character?

On windows7 home premium 64bit on first run: "could not create window class"

I set it to vista sp2 compatibility and run as administrator and then it was fine aside from the occasional slowdown because I set it to the highest texture setting and my comp shouldn't actually run that. ;)

Ops silly me :(

Showtaker - If you open the character creation screen, you will see an option to log onto the servers on the left. Log in using your email / password and then upload!

Ok, I'm confused. I uploaded a profile from the CC last night and I still don't know if I see it or not on the site. I still have this generic picture so I'm wondering if something is wrong. Where do I check to see if my profile is on the site?

Counting down the hours until this comes out. I'm reading the Stone Throne prequel right now and I'm loving it. I'm not even much of a fantasy guy.

On the left under your picture...hover over profile then select "Change Profile Photo"...your character should be on the right of the choices!

Character creator installed just fine,  system is vista 32 ult with service pack 2 and all updates.  3 g corsair ram core 2 duo and sli 8600gts vid cards with an agea phys x card running on an asus p5n32e-sli mobo.

Ran the character creator, hit play, system crashed hard, on boot up did not recognize the video cards, booted to vga and will not recognize the video cards, have done two sucessive system restores,  disabled/enabled the cards through device manager and uninstalled the vid drivers (which were the latest, updated em 2 days ago) then reinstalled and rebooted.  log in screen has gone to green decimals and colons, very matrix looking and at this point I would have to say looks like a complete system wipe and reinstall is going to be eating up my saturday.

You can imagine my opinion of Bioware atm.

cc works fine, but when i try to upload my char, it kind of crashes, which means:

it shows a blinking notification, saying "uploading" - after several seconds of blinking, behind this notification, another one pops up, saying there was an error accessing my profile memory online. Then, nothing happens, uploading ist still blinking, it does that permanently until I cancel the CC process via alt-tab

I don't know if anyone else has posted this or if there's a fix, but every time I've run the character creator, without fail, eventually my entire computer locks up. The amount of time I can interact with the creator varies, but eventually it freezes and I have to manually restart the computer.

I've tried updating my videocard drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling (and redownloading) the character creator, and running as Administrator. At one point my computer no longer recognized the video card and I had to reinstall everything relating to the videocard. Fortunately it hasn't happened again.

System specs
Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2
AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5800+ (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4850
3070MB RAM

Not a big thing but, on my Dalish rogue, his dalish armor is placed halfway over both the armor slot and the lower empty weapon slot. It may move it's way into place if you fill the second weapon slot with something. Or it may end up blocking the second weapon slot. I have no idea.
