I am having issues loggging in the servers.
I know i am useing the right password but I am getting invalid password message.
It pops up after i agree to the EULA.
does the Character Creater allow specal charaters?
Is the authitication server down?
Randy, I know from personal experience that some special characters aren't recognized by the new Bioware boards. I was using a dollar sign, and underscore and an apostrophe and all logins worked except the BSN. So I changed my password to letters and numbers only and haven't had any issues logging in since.
Try that...
Thanks Vestor...same problem that you-all had and the solution worked. Wtf is with these simple fails?

2. mouth and cheek options are "deactivated", dont get a chance to change them.
Same for me but only in certain conditions I've not been able to find out yet. Seems to be when I make a dwarf character.

Dwarf Male cheeks/jaw. Certain presets initially allow you to edit the cheeks/jaws. Altering facial hair (or other areas) makes the cheeks gaunt and prevents access to editing the cheeks/jaw section. Since facial hair does not morph to the face, this creates considerable gaps between the hair and the skin. Thus, we are forced to use preset faces in order to have realistic facial hair which defeats the point of such a detailed character creator.
Yup, this one it is

So, I tried all these suggestions and nothings seems to work. The UAC was disabled to begin with.Warrior_ wrote...

Tried running the program as an administrator to no avail. I have tried to upload several characters.
Also, one of my characters keeps showing up with a tattoo every time I review it even though I completely zeroed out the tattoo preferences.
'Run as Adminstrator' didn't work? Try this:
1) Disable UAC. (Should not be a problem, just in case..)
2) Run in Windows XP or Windows 2000 compatibly mode. (Running in 2k switches off multi-prozessor capabilities. Should not be a problem either...)
3) Diasable visual themes, desktop composition and display scaling at the combatibly tab.
I am still unable to upload any characters. And the problem with the tattoo reappearing after I modify the character is still evident.
Do you have any other suggestions?

HP Pavilion, AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+, 1.99 GHz, 512 MB RAM
I've installed/uninstalled the program twice to different locations, restarted the computer, but can't see a single word on any button or anything after the video plays. The initial screen with the woman and the choices to play, exit, uninstall, and visit the website show words on the buttons, but it's only after the preview video plays.
The video looks beautiful and runs perfectly, but when I get to the Dragon Age:Origins screen with the sword in the ground, there are no words on anything. I click on the "button" in the lower left and it brings up a different screen, again, wordless, imageless buttons, click on another and more wordles and imageless buttons, but there is a '?' visible. I click that and get more wordless and imageless buttons.
I can't figure out what the problem is. I've looked for solutions, but if someone can point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

Either way I'm still intending to follow through with me preorder, but it's a bit worrying if they haven't even taken time to acknowledge they are looking into these issues...

Nothing not mentioned before: Check minimum requirements, install latest video and sound card drivers, install latest DirectX version, run at WIndows XP or Windows Vista compatibly mode...GFWITHROW wrote...

My character looks like this in the creator: http://data.fuskbugg...rcreatorbug.jpg
Tried forcing v-sync on and off and lowering my graphic options, nothing works.
Any help appreciated!

When I click to create a new character, I'm greeted briefly with a loading screen and then my computer goes nuts. It's like my monitor is turning on and off, it switches from a backlit black screen to just nothing, accompanied by a blinding flash, and my computer completely locks up; all I can do is remove power and restart it. I think my graphics card might be inferior (buying the game for 360, I can't really tell, though) but I would really like to get into the character creator.
I'm having the same issues. I hope someone knows how to fix it.

System:
Window's 7 home 32bit
Intel Pentium D 3.2GHz x2
Radeon x1650 512mb
2GB DDR2 Ram
It should work fine. In fact it did work fine on xp, i have the latest 9.3 CCC drivers for the graphics card. I think i'm running directx 9c.
EDIT: Scratch that, its directx 11. Is that the problem? My graphics card only supports up to directx 9c.

AFTER ( after i saver her ) looks totally differentThis is a MAJOR bug..whats the use of a character Creator if the person i make looks completely different after i save her!

What worked for me (and I don't know why) is logging in the CC and then hitting the online profile button. The characters I'd been waiting for a week to show up (simply showed a black box with a red X) were now viewable (all except 2 out of 10).
