 I can change eye color in the character creator demo but when I try to upload the character, or design an entirely new one in the full game version, I cannot change the eye color, it is always black. Why is this? I rebooted, reinstalled, same problem. I also have the patch but still no luck. Please how do I fix this? All the in game characters have black eyes as well.

I have an older PC, running Windows XP - the program loads, beautiful music, movie graphics prestine, then the main screen pops up, and there are no words. I tried to muddle through clicking on random highlight-able boxes, think I saved a character once but think I deleted it trying to find the options.

character wont upload and the same goes for the main game as-well..

edit: its uploaded now but the main game still hasn't

My XP has 32mb video, and a slightly less then 256mb available RAM.

Same here - can't upload the character (it appears to time out). No firewall issues. The site also hasn't uploaded my Xbox360 progress in a week, despite it saying I am logged into the Dragon Age servers...

I've d/l the Character Creator & installed on my PC. Created a couple characters & all appeared to work fine.My problem comes when i try to Upload my characters.the "Upload Info" Button has disappeared!!The only reason i knew it was there in the first place was that i noticed it on first running this App.I didnt use it until the following day and now its disappeared!Has there been issues with the Site or what? I WANT MY LUCKY STONES!!The two i already have arent seeing much action recently,LOL.Perhaps with this new one equipped my Rogue will prove more fruitful than myself.

 ok, so i am getting really irritated i downloaded the character creator a few weeks back and my PC couldnt handle it.  I play on the xbox so i never really need to upgrade.  Now my wife buys me a new desktop handles it beautifullly but now i cannot seem to get my character to upload to save my life?  Is the chance to get the lucky stone long gone and will i  just be one of the few who have bad enough luck to where i will never get it

I've uploaded characters ok from my PC.My problem is im playing DAO on the Xbox & for the life of me i cant see how to start a New game using one of my uploaded characters.Where the heck is an "Import" option on the Xbox version?Im not to bothered at the mo as im going thru with my original character,but when ive completed the game im gonna want to use one of my characters ive created & uploaded using this tool.

Also currently unable to upload anything using the Character Creator. And if I've managed enough dark voodoo that I can host a game of Borderlands, I'd think I'd be able to upload a character.

[edit:]  Well, I let it sit for around 10 minutes, and despite it saying that it had timed out, something shows up in my social network profile now.

Do you have to d/l the character creator to upload your character? Or can you use the avatar from the actual game?

Like others, I'm having problems uploading characters. I log in successfully, then click the upload button. The screen fades, and it says "Upload Character" in the middle of the screen. After a few mins, in the background, a message reports "Timed out". Note that "Upload Character" is still in the foreground, and there aren't any exit options available, so I have to alt-tab out and exit by right-clicking it on the task bar.

HELLO we all have this issues with uploading a character, does anyone ever respond? Would be nice if someone noticed us and said it's being looked into.

Actually, the problem is not quite a problem
First i created a very wonderful char via downloadable char creator, but then i never managed to transfer it to the game itself - for me it's quite a trouble, because it turned out that i'm unable to create another one as beautiful as that one
However the character is uploaded here to my account successfully (Tanya) - but the one I'm playing with isn't

I can't seem to upload my char. I keep getting an error message saying "You have timed out while attempting to access your online profile storage."

EDIT: I have found a better propper driver for my video card, played the character creator and now have the Lucky Stone on my 360......a huge thank you to the community members who figured out that a new video card driver was needed to fix the problem......though I was out in the cold as to how and where I might find one(not that this is anyone's fault).

I blame BioWare for staying quiet and providing no help as people with clearly compatible video cards(like myself) were unable to play the character creator and were quite literally flooding this thread. Dozens of complaints of incompatible video card messages where they did NOT belong and no hint for a fix.

Downloaded the character creator and had the same problem that I had with the normal game, in that I could not start it. I was able to fix it with the normal game by switching Windows Installer to Automatic, but that has had no effect on the character creator, which is not only depriving me of the character creator, but of said lucky stone.

Not sure if this helps, but the weirdest thing happened. I was getting the "You have timed out while attempting to access your online profile storage."

I switched my display from the default (1440x900) to 800x600.

Reran the Character Creator, created a new character and the Upload worked.

Got the Lucky Stone.

I had the same problem with uploading. I changed the display to 800 x 600. This initially did not work so I then took off full screen mode. I was then able to upload the character.

Can I run the Character Creator on the PS3 itself? My computer won't handle it, says that my graphics card isn't supported.. but I knew this when I got DA:O to begin with, hence why I got it on the PS3. So now I don't get to have a DL'able item unless my computer (which I know can't handle DA) can somehow start handling it? That doesn't seem fair to me. I suppose if the file itself can be transferred somehow.. I could do it on a friends computer, if I could save it to the Bioware Community Servers.. and then would I just log in on the PS3 and DL it off there? Any help would be appreciated.

No the character creator is PC only so the only way to get the lucky stone is by playing the Character Creator on a powerfull enough PC. But if you unlock the Lucky Stone it will be available on your PS3 as well even though the created characters in the Character Creator won't.

Worked fine for me but screwed with the game itself had character uploaded then froze the main game, Uninstalled it and in the same process (i think) deleted my saved characters
