About a week ago, I downloaded the Character creator and created a character so that I could unlock the Lucky Stone, and then I uninstalled it. Afterwards, I found the "Ugliest character contest" thread, and decided to redownload the Character Creator again, in order to make characters for that thread, but my creations are not showing up on the site, even though my previous characters uploaded perfectly fine before Ie uninstalled the program.

Before you ask, I have tried pressing the "upload" button, and it did not do anything.
Also, I have an Inspiron 1720, but I don't think that it is important.

I've downloaded both the toolset and character creator and installed the toolset successfully.  However, when I try to install the character creator, it cannot find the bin files and dll files that are supposed to be in the game installation location. 

I've tried "ignoring" the errors, but it seems to be missing all the necessary files and eventually abort the install.

Suggestions?

BTW, I have a Dell XPS 1710 laptop running Win 7 if that makes a difference.

I'm not sure if anyone is actually answering these, but....



I downloaded and installed it fine. It launches fine and gets to the menu screen. However, when I press play, it freaks out. Screen goes black and I get a message saying my graphics card has stopped working or something similar. The first time it happened, when I had it in full screen, it actually forced my system to restart. I'm running vista.

Well...you shouldn´t be running vista in the first place. It´s not a good operating system to do anything with. I recommend you use xp service pack 3 or windows 7.



Have you had any similar problems with your graphics card with software that demand a lot technically?



In that case, your hardware might be damaged. Or you have an old version of your driver. Or a million other reasons.

when i click Play a message pops up saying Failed to detect a supported video card.

hmm...what video card are you using? If you don´t know, try typing "dxdiag" to the "run" in windows xp or to "search programs and files" in windows vista /7. There you will find the name of the video card in the "display". It also tells you if you have any detected problems. Try this first.

For almost two weeks I cannot upload characters anymore, nor is my profile being updated. I am playing the game on PS3, and always receive the message that an error occurred in accessing my online profile, and that the game encountered an error. I already contacted EA, and even answered their email with the requested information such as my PS3 user name, but never got an answer back.

I cant upload a character. It tells me that there was an error connecting to my online storage.

I can't upload either. It says I've reached the max number of files for the server but this was my
first try to upload.

Nevermind. I found the character manager under my profile. I didn't realize it uploaded as
soon as you create a character in DA. I had some rejects I had deleted on my end still on
the site.

if i go to edit my character, the face tattoo and the portrait change. the files appear to be saved correctly on my hdd when browsing them, so it must be the editor is resetting it for some reason

I tried uploading a character onto here from the character creator and I got the error code 1004.

Now I can't show off my pretty character...

Not a tech problem but rather a request for info:

Would it be possible for me to re-edit my character looks(minor tweaks) after I have already begun the game? (or do I have to start over....or use the toolset)

its possible I done it, just do it very earlier on, just edit your save game, then you can change the face whenever you're bored with it. depending on your computer, if it has more then 4 GB of RAM, but if it is less, the toolset can't take save saves that are really big, and I mean near the end of the game, if it at half way or less, then it can.

PS (after you watch the video) in the last line just enter whatever name you want, so you can change the mor file to that name, when put it in your override or toolsetexport folder, something simply to remember, to make the change easy

When I select Create a Character, during the loading screen my pc goes kernel ad says the system arrested beacuase it went loop. What should I do? Here's the report:

I've had to do a new install to play certain DLCs that require the v1.03 patch after playing the dlcs a number of times I then installed mods and morphs etc to continue playing DA:O and other addins that I had including Awakening. I cannot get the character creator to work in either DA:O or DA:A. Totally fed up as all I want to do is play the game with the characters I want not the same characters over again, especially in DA:A as I would like to play as an Orlesian Warden for a change to see the difference to the game play.



Can anyone help me please

When i try uploading my created character an error appears saying :

"A server error occured while attempting to access your online profile storage."

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Can't tell how it actually worked , but my character got uploaded even though the server error kept coming every time i was trying to upload.. But still , my portrait image is yet not available , but i suppose it will need some time!
