Shepard's trial must have an option to be defiant and deny any accusations.

I would like my Shep to be defiant in court.

Judges: What gives you the right to decide the fate of an entire planet? What gives you the right to disregard 300,000 lives and plunge humanity into war?

Shep: What gives me the right? Where were you when Saren attacked Eden Prime? Where were you when the Normandy was destroyed? Where were you when the Collectors abducted our colonists? The Alliance has sworn an oath to defend humanity!!! Am I the only one who hasn't forgotten?

Something like that would be epic.

How about "I'm a spectre, I don't aswer to you! Fcuk off!"

QFT that option I definetly expect in game .

The option to give them the middle finger .
And watch them plead for your help , once they find out reapers are devouring earth .

That wouldn't work since Shepherd is still apart of the Alliance.:alien:

There is nothing in the dialogue that suggests it is honourary. Nor was there any explicit threat.

3:05 and 3:30 and 4:06 (most importantly he says the status is just symbolic)
The ren version of that 0:10 (threat) :
Or new council and meeting w/ only anderson
2:18 (its a title only) 2:45 (more symbolic then useful) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0vgYrrxW4c

So true about Tali's trial(best part of ME2)--The trail being on earth doesn't make sense in the narrative as present based on the following:

Arcturus Station is a human space station located in the system of the same name. It is the capital of the Systems Alliance, home to both its parliament and the headquarters of the Alliance Navy, built before contact with the Citadel. It is where David Anderson is first introduced into the story, Mass Effect: Revelation, after graduating from the N7 program at the Academy there.

and

The Systems Alliance is the representative body of Earth and all human colonies in Citadel space. Backed by Earth's most powerful nations, the Alliance has become humanity's military, exploratory, and economic spearhead. While the Alliance is relatively new to the galactic community, it has already made a name for itself, gaining humans an embassy on the Presidium. The Alliance is governed by a parliament based at Arcturus Station; the station also serves as the Alliance's capital.

so yeah it needs some explanation to make sense. Not to mention Specters only answer to the Galactic Council.

I would prefer to frame some stooge instead of showing up myself. But Bioware definitely won't let me do that.

Hmmm Frame Udina !!!! oh that would be so lovely . even Hackett would agree it was all Udina fault !!!

Ah well sadly :crying: no longer possible ...  But let me please punch Udina like Anders did :D

Haha that would be amusing. But I was thinking about someone more realistic. Like some random guy with no good alibis for the time period that Liara could fake a bunch of information on. Paint him as the last survivor of the rogue terrorist group that was running The Project. It really shouldn't be that hard unless Hackett already sold you out (which he probably has).

So yeah, no explanation is needed.

Imagine one of the Judges/Alliance/Council/Whoever will be there says:

"Ah yes Reapers......"

"YES. REAPERS FFS. -_-"

*Reapers start reapin' Earth*

"See..."

Then which government should host Shepard's trial? Where are Humanity's legislative, or judiciary power bases located? Some explanation need, even a small "Salt Lake City, Utah- System Alliance District Court 8675309" caption on the location would be enough.

The Arcturus station.

=== Stations: Arcturus Station ===

Arcturus Station is the gateway to Sol, a 5-kilometer diameter space station at the trailing Lagrange
point of the gas giant Themis. Construction on Arcturus Station began in 2151 and concluded in 2162. It
was inaugurated in 2156, and has served as the military and political headquarters of the Systems
Alliance
from the First Contact War until the present.

When humanity activated the Charon Mass Relay in 2149, it led to Arcturus, 36 light years from Sol,
Earth's sun. Arcturus is the third brightest star seen from Earth. It is an ancient red giant from the
generation born before Sol. Its worlds are either gas giants or ice chunks. While some rocky debris
exists, the metal content is 25% lower than normal. To build Arcturus Station, metallic asteroids were
towed through the mass relays to the construction site. Many of these asteroids remain near the
station, their mined out areas home to transient populations.

The expense of bringing construct materials into the system was acceptable due to its strategic value.
With three primary mass relays in addition to the secondary one to Sol, Arcturus is a major
communications and military chokepoint. The Alliance 1st Fleet is based in Arcturus, where it can guard
the gates to Sol and react to incursions in the three connected clusters. The Station also hosts the
Systems Alliance Parliament and the Systems Alliance Military general headquarters
. Its permanent population is approximately 45,000.

Arcturus is actually from the galactic halo, one of a cluster of 52 stars that are "crashing through" the
disc of the galaxy. In a billion years, Arcturus will be sailing through the depths of extragalactic dark
space.

The International Criminal Court (French: Cour Pénale Internationale; commonly referred to as the ICC or ICCt)[1] is a permanent tribunal to prosecute individuals for genocidecrimes against humanitywar crimes, and the crime of aggression (although it cannot currently exercise jurisdiction over the crime of aggression).

- Maanweg 174, The Hague,Netherlands

Maybe Shep is being tried there? Or whatever is the 22nd century equivelant.

How many topics do you need to discuss one thing anyway?
