What is your absolute favourite companion moment? (Potential spoilers!)

Anyhow, mine would have to be during the Qunari attack, when you meet with the Arishok and Isabela shows up again. On my first playthrough, she was done and gone and I whooped his *** cause I had to do it, but on my second when Isabela came back I thought it was a very... touching, for lack of a better word, moment, and I really enjoyed it. Plus, it made wrecking the Arishok seem all the more satisfying, in my opinion.

It lacked comforting hugs from Hawke :/
Perhaps in his own way it would be when Varric Kills Gascard duPuis when he's about to turn against you with Quentin...
A real "pal" thing to do, no questions, just kill the bugger.

I also really like Aveline's intro, she is just so awesome and the conversation you get from her where she grabs your pc and kisses her/him was so unexpected and delightful. It only happened once for me and I think it was right after you help her with Donnick. So adorable.
And Merrill's conversation she has if you rivalmance her and she tells you to get lost after you refuse to give her the mirror repair tool, when she shows up at your mansion... so sweet. That whole romance is done so well.
I also love any cutscene that involves Aveline and Isabela arguing, or Merrill and Isabela playing at cards.

I'm not sure.. Merrill is my favorite companion, but despite all the sadness and crying during her quests i never really felt as touched as to call it my favorite moment.

For whatever reason, I could never grow to like Merrill. On my first playthrough I really, really tried to be nice to her and comfort her (especially when she was with Anders and Fenris!), but eh. When it came to my second I treated her like dirt. She hated me (or "rivalled" as the case may be) fully by the end of the game.
As for the Varric bit, that was really good as well! And on a side note, killing Quentin was extremely satisfying (same with Orsino, due to association, if you take the the Templar route).

"No Merrill. It's a trick"
"Oooh! That's very clever then!"

It's a pity some players miss out on it because of a bug.

The one I remember most is Aveline's telling Hawke about her father. The story felt so tender, personal, and appropriate for the characters and the situation they were facing.

I only got her telling Hawke about her father was when I brought her with me during "All that remains". When she was not present, the option in the dialouge wheel didn't appear when you talk to her in her office.

THIS THIS THIS. He was in my party during my first playthrough and it was such an awesome surprise. I was so upset over that entire quest, and then Varric just shows that he totally has your back. What a bro. Oh man, I wanted to hug him so badly after that.

Varric's exaggeration at Bartrand's Manor
Isabela and Aveline's in-your-face argument during Aveline's Act 2 quest
Isabela swooping in to save you at the 11th hour
Aveline's story about her father when Leandra dies
Most heartbreaking moment:
Merethari's death. Obviously not a favorite but it was so sad my chest hurt. And then I killed her clan...
Moment I'm most looking forward to:
Bethany or Carver joining me again at the end of Act 3. I sided with the Templars but Carver didn't join me last game. Maybe Bethany will join this game?
I've never gotten that.Apirka wrote...

It's a quest called The Captain's Condolences. It's bugged, you need to have Aveline in your party when you go talk to her at the Keep, otherwise you don't get the option to hear about her father.
One of my favorite moments was Grey Warden Carver at the very end of the game. Hawke's baby brother finally grew up.

I couldn't. But do you think Isabela sees the irony in telling Hawke not to let her down?
