Oh ouch. That would probably makes engineers the weakest in that fight.

I've done it with Vanguard and a Soldier so far, both were pretty easy, but I did it without using cover on my Vanguard and I'm a fan of that.

Like others have said Adapt is probably the worst, no way to strip defenses well.

I had the most problems in Arrival with my Sentinel. "Sweet, I got their defenses down... Now what?" It bugged me not having something to take out their health fast. Stupid Assault Rifle training...

That's why I picked shotgun training to go with my Assaul Armor.^_^

The Geth Plasma Shotgun maybe? It's wonderful against shields and barriers. ;)

So glad there's not weapons restrictions in ME3!

Soldier might be the hardest to clear Arrival with. If enemies in the Object Rho fight get stuck on the upper platform, the Soldier will have the hardest time flushing them out. The Soldier also relies the most on ammo, which could become an issue in that fight, depending on how well you're doing.

I had really good luck with my Engineer and Sentinel. I did fine with a respecced Infiltrator. My soldier was OK.

IIRC my Adept was the hardest because my spec wasn't built for CQC at all and had too many problems with the mech and the respawns at the end if you "overkilled" them and they just spawned more guys.

IMHO an Elite player will make any class look like a GOD on this level so YMMV depending on yrou build, specs, playstyle, etc.

FYI:  I did have some ammo issues.  IIRC esp. my Widow/Mattock Soldier had to run around a few times just to collect ammo.  Once I got the spawn pattern down though the Soldier was quite effective.  This was one class that simply overpowered the mech and anyone else that wanted to mess with him [except for my ammo runs :)]

Note:  I'm a relatively poor player so what I say surely doesn't apply to elite players or folks with "mad skillz.  YMMV

It took me a few tries with Insanity-Vanguard, but with a bit of luck it's quite doable to survive the last stand. It really relies on you finding a guy a bit isolated, so you charge him as the other enemies start to swarm.

Took me on my second try on my Vanguard. Going to try it on my adept, some time later.

Well, each class has its advantages and disadvantages. I had more trouble with the adept...

Since you learn the trick at the Object Rho fight, you can beat even with the adept (whatever bonus power you choose). The best strategy (like Bozorgmehr said) is to get cover at the superior spot at the left corner from the top of the room, use a viper a lot and make sure always kill first the flame guy. When the heavy mech comes you need to wait until you kill almost all enemies and, at the ceasefire, run to the other side of the room and destroy the heavy mech there.
I could defeat all waves with my 6 classes builds in insane. I used Soldier with fortification bonus power (Viper + GPS + Mattock), Engineer with Geth Shield Boost, Vanguard with viper (sniper) + GPS + Reave, Sentinel (Warp Ammo + Viper Sniper), Infiltrator (Widow + Energy Drain, but I didn't need the power) and my Adept with Warp Amno and Viper Sniper. The Soldier, Infiltrator and Sentinel were the most easy, the Adept was the most difficult.
