Knight Commander Meredith - Theresa Russell

In the bottom image she's quite a bit younger, as she's in her fifties (though I'd say a good looking fifty), but it was the only shot I could find with the actress' more stern face, which she's great at. I saw her quite a few times on guest roles in a variety of shows and she's frequently placed in the role of either a cold or conniving woman, because it just seems to suit her I think, but she's also great at emotion and has a very stern and clear speaking voice that only cracks when she has more emotional scenes. That, and of course I think her and Meredith could've been sisters if they were both real. They look a heck of a lot alike in my opinion. She's a bit underutilized as an actress I think, and if the players from DAII ever made it to the big screen (or the small one for that matter) I think she'd really shine in such a role and I'd love to see her as the live-action Meredith. She's decently tall as well and could definitely pull off the templar armor, in my opinion.

This is the woman who I thought of when I played DA:II and thought Meredith looked pretty familiar, I didn't know her name, but I knew that face. Thank you Google image search.
Good call on the appearance-matching. If only she were a bit younger, but yeah an uncanny resemblance!

Thanks, but I thought the age sort of fit too. Meredith doesn't really look like a spring chicken to me, maybe early forties at the youngest, but is she suppose to be younger than that? I don't read codices like I should.

Cate Blanchett is nothing like the character for Aveline, for one thing, she's too small.
She has small bone structure that's true. I actually thought of Julianne Moore, but she's in her fifties now and is pretty thin. I do love her freckles though. That and she might be too 'big name' to really fill that role wihout eclipsing it.
Angie Everhart is very attractive, very redheaded (naturally) and has a nice figure, but she's only nine years younger than Jullianne Moore. She also does more modeling than acting, but she has acted before, though mostly in comedies, so I haven't seen her in anything serious. I pegged Aveline for being in her thirties at the oldest, but maybe Everhart would work, she'd need a bit more muscles, but she isn't rail thin and I guess they could make her look younger if they needed to. She's still got a younger look, I think, anyway so I don't know that it'd be that big an issue. She looks enough like Aveline I think, she VERY tall and with that red hair would look nice with Aveline's green eyes w/ contacts (hers are naturally brown I think)
Aveline Valen - Angie Everhart

Orsion: John Lithgow
Shamus: Zachary Levi

P.S. Kevin McKidd is perfect for Cullen

Why not? Meredith does have some heavy crow's feet, if anything they'd have to make her(the actress) look a little older than she looks! I'd say she's an almost perfect fit.

Kat Dennings would make an interesting Merrill - her musings veer towards the weird at times.
John Lithgow could probably pull off an Orsino.
