Now, to my knowledge, there are two romancable females in the game: Morrigan and Leliana. Granted, it is awesome to even have two romancable companions as a male. *Cough* nwn2 *Cough* I'm simply afraid that the two of are very similar allignments. Granted, I have no real working knowledge to prove this correct. It is all speculation. I am assuming that both Morrigan and Leliana are chaotic. You may call it nitpicking, but what about the lawful guys? Just settle for a girl who is different, or don't romance anyone? I'm not upset or anything, just figured it might make an interesting point. You know, come to think of it...are there really any lawful characters? Sten, maybe...Wynne, maybe. Alistair? Dunno.
Romance?

afaik there are no alignments in DA, just different views on morality that may or may not differ from your own.

There aren't really alignments to this game at all. Remember, they dropped the D&D license.
Instead, each character has their own agenda and will judge based on this. For instance, Morrigan is said to not like taking side quests that seem trivial to her. Leliana, on the other hand, is said to like helping anyone in need.
So I don't think you'll need to worry about the 2 romances being the same.

>< Sorry, I didn't make it really clear. I understand that there are no D&D style alignments. I was speaking in those terms for simplicities sake though. The same question applies though.

I don't really think we have much of a clue what their "stances" are. I can hazard a guess, but... eh.

Not sure if the simplifications you made apply, though.
Anyway, I'm almost certain Morrigan and Leliana will feel like different people. If you're looking for a more "good girl" then Leliana is the one to pick ... or so I'm guessing (from what little I've seen of her).

*shrugs* I dunno, I just made a guess based off of what little I know about them. For example, Morrigan is a witch of the wilds, Leliana is a bard.

You don't have to romance. I dunno, make up a backstory about a lost romance, make an excuse if you are playing a 'lawful' character.

>< This isn't really a "Help me my character is horny and I have noone who he'd want to shag" thread, just curious as to what people think about it.

Leliana is kind of the 'lawful' one in that while she's a bard she's also apparently a devoted follower of the Maker and the Chantry, which seems to be about keeping order and such. Still, I'd have liked a female dwarf, gotta have yourself a Smurfette!

Haha, well you can always hope that somebody mods in a dwarf female romance.

Well, I will hazard a guess and say Morrigan would seem Neutral, where as Leliana seems more lawful/chaotic good.

If this helps you at all, we know Morrigan is incredibly power hungry, and doesn't seem very interested in helping people if it doesn't further her cause or the cause of the mission you're on. Leliana is an ex spy, now devout religious follower, so I reckon its safe to say shes the nicer of the two.
If anything, Morrigan would probabaly be chaotic neutral and Leliana maybe Chaotic good? I'm totally speculating.

Morrigan seems more individualistic, while Lelianna is more selfless. Morrigan believes power to hold more meaning than anything else, while Lelianna would stress morality. Morrigan can be seen as more down to earth and a realist while Lelianna can be seen as optimistic and hopeful. Both have hard pasts, Morrigan seems to want to see more of the outside world while Lelianna is trying to find... redemption? Forgiveness? These are just my opinions on what those two may be like from the information gathered so far.
