Do any of the Mages live in the Chantry?

Nope. The mages live in the circle. Unless they are apostates hiding the fact that they are mages.

So when Anders blows up the Chantry there are no tranquill Mages or Templers, just innocents? Where is the Circle? Thanks for your help.

I've got a few unrelated questions of my own.
1) in my first playthru I let Varric keep the fraction of the idol. Bianca in that playthru earned 4 rune slots. My second time thru I wanted the idol rune and bianca only rcieved the initial rune slot. Is this a bug or design?

Design. If Varric keeps the idol fragment, Bianca gets 3 more rune slots, and I think his armor gets +1 more as well (might have to save and reload to get the armor slots).

2) has anyone found the level up potion recipes? The cheat book mentions it in hightown during act 3 but there is no other info revealed. I think I've found all of the chests and boxes for both day and night.

The recipe for Elixir of Heroism is in Act 2, during the Qunari Crisis on a body in Hightown (around the area between the dwarven merchant's area and the Blooming Rose). The other level up potions aren't craftable AFAIK.

Who all lives in the Chantry?

Chantry clergy, and the chantry wards (orphaned children, refugees, the poor, etc.).

Is there any way to cure Fenris of the lyrium burned into his body?

Not in DA2. But in theory... probably?

Thank you for the response. I was thinking the bianca thing was design but I wasn't sure. As for the Potion being in act two; wow no wonder, I'd never looked for it during act 2.

Does attempting to pimp Isabela out to Emile have any impact on her Friendship/Rivalry score?
I´m always maxed at this point so can`t find out for myself unless I start a new playthrough with finding out as a deliberate goal from the start.

She makes it clear she won`t do it and seems to resent the idea, but who knows, Isabela is ... Isabela, she might take it as a compliment as opposed to an insult?

She didn't take to the idea at all. but it did not hurt the relasionship. If I recall if you don't suggest that you get a small friendship bump.

I would like to ask few questions myself if i may.

Thanks to bug (fix it already you lazy BioWare sloths!) i didn't got Finding Nathaniel quest, but Fool's Gold instead.
In that quest i saved the "unpossesed" brother and i did not find that cursed sword they talk about. On DAwiki and several other webs i read that you just can't find that sword as the chest containing it is destroyed no matter what you do.
Also in quest Haunted you find a piece of primeval lyrium idol, which Barthrand sold to someone.
My question is...
SPOILER!!!
What is Meredith's sword in Act III?
Is it the sword from Fool's Gold, or is it made from the idol?

Made from the idol I´m fairly sure.
Bartrand rambles on about how he "Shouldn`t have sold it to that woman" also when you face off Meredith she says "You recognize it do you not? la-la-lyrium, the dwarf charged a great deal for it something-something".

Yes i remember that but i still wasn't sure. What made me confused was the fact that they found a sword in that thaig, so it would make more sense if that was what Meredith carries. Probably found by someone, or secretly taken by one of the brothers you save down there. The point for this is that the idol itself was rather small in size to make such a huge sword. And it doesnt look like the sword has the idol in it, or something, it rather looks like its whole made from that red lyrium, except for handle which has skull on it i think... Hard to tell
I guess that would also point to the idol a bit, but those two items just could share design as they were made in same thaig too...
Hmmm.....
Well what makes me most annoyed is that i can't loot it off her after the battle. :D

Did you even play the game?
The Circle of Magi is located in The Gallows, you get to know that almost at the start of the game and several times after.. Posted Image

Eluvian shard I'd imagine.

I don't doubt that there will be future expansions or DLCs that make use of Chantry board, your mailbox, the mercenaries' books, and the underground railroad listing to activate new quests. Hopefully using spruced up and DIFFERENT locations and enemies.

@ Louis deGuerre -- Merrill looked suspiciously like my niece using my new iPhone without my permission. That even sounded like my ring-tone.

@ Saephy -- Obviously, Fenris was hoping the chest contained his torn trousers and damaged statuette.

Here's a question for you that I DARE you to try to find out: How many pairs of torn trousers can you find in this game? I make a point to not sell them so I can count, but my rogue who sides with the Templars ends the game with 24, and my mage who sides with the Circle ends the game with 31.

Who, what, where?
During the quest "A Secret Rendezvous" you learn that "Someone powerful in Kirkwall wants the raiders to attack Amaranthine ships".
As far as I know, that´s all you`ll learn about this plot, and it´s never mentioned again, it doesn`t seem like awfully useful information to the suspicious lady, although she seems satisfied.
Or are there any in-game means to learn more?

To me, Suspicious Lady probably wanted you(an unbiased party) to independently verify her suspicions about said attacks and remove those already known to be responsible.  S L  probably continued the investigation on her own.
