Patch 1.02 included over 100 fixes but we're already hard at work on the next one. If you're still experiencing any major issues after installing Patch 1.02, please provide further information in this thread. That will help us plan and prioritize for the future.

Be aware that knowledge of an issue doesn't inherently mean that it will be fixed in the next patch. We still need to prioritize the issues list, reproduce the issue internally, and finally identify and implement a suitable fix. Not all bugs survive this process but we'll do what we can. The sooner we're tracking the issue, however, the sooner we can begin that process.

This post will serve as a summary of all posts in this thread which I will (hopefully) be able to keep up to date indefinitely.

Last time, there were lots of 'does Bioware know X? it isn't on the major issues list!' threads and posts so I'm going to try to list every single issue that gets raised here in an effort to alleviate this feeling and show that, as I kept saying, we are aware of everything that gets brought up on BSN.

Current issues, post 1.02:

General Issues

- Import Issues (Awakenings; re: Approval levels)
- Import issue with Zevran, Alistair and Morrigan (all)
- Olaf's Armory - Chest is invisible. Can still be interacted with, you just can't see it. (Act 3)
Companion Issues

- Carver goes from Grey Warden to Templar in act 3 during Best Served Cold hostage scene
- Isabela doesn't switch to her alternate outfit after the romance scene (requires using makers sigh to fix currently)
- Companions lose upgrades when they switch outfits
- Fenris' Dog conversation (Black Emporium) is not firing
- Merrill's 'Mourning' quest at the beginning of Act 2 is auto-completing. This quest is not supposed to be in the game so for now just disregard the message about it. (it does not affect your game at all)
- Varric's 'Friendly Concern' conversation trees are not firing for any LI except Anders currently
- Sebastian Vael - Despite having friendship maxed, his companion power does not show as active on his Abilities page (the bonus is working, however)
- Anders' rivalry dialog doesn't trigger (friendship instead) during endgame after the 'chantry part'
- Anders' Tevinter chantry amulet turn-in does not give the appropriate reputation modifier when in a rivalry
Quest Issues

- 'Who Needs Rescuing' quest still broken
- 'Sketchy on the Details' doesn't clear from the journal upon completion
- During 'Demands of the Qun' Aveline's guards are aggressive if you go to the docks at night
Combat Issues

- Varric's Disorienting Shot doesn't disorient (for more than a split-second)
- Modal abilities that should be exclusive are stacking if you toggle two of them on quickly
- Hawke can become immune to Injury occassionally
- Magic Resist is affecting Haste (causing the duration to be shorter, essentially resisting your own buff)
- Issues with Gravitic Ring under certain circumstances
PC Only Issues

- GUI Elements are not aligned properly after installing 1.02  Fixed. Users need to delete 'Troll-faced' mod from their addons folder to alleviate this issue.
- Directx11!!!!
- Flickering White Flashes in rare cases
- PhysX issues causing the game not to run
- Mouse Cursor causing stutterring animations and gameplay (the hold RMB for +frame-rate issue)
- Various issues surrounding 'guest'/administrator accounts in Windows
- Holding RMB over GUI elements causes the cursor to get locked on those items, the only way to fix it is to mouse over those items again (this can cause the game to completely lock-out input if done over the companion portraits)
- Mouseover text for set bonuses on Hawke's Abilities page extends upward off the screen
- Conversations and Ambient dialogs are missing the very first line for some users

Current issues that require new playthroughs (or older saves) in 1.02


- Slo-mo hawke (as well as other stat modifiers) are not retroactively fixed. The problem will not reoccur or get worse but whatever value you currently have will be stuck with you for now (there are many helpful threads about editting the save to manually fix the issue in the mean time)
- Aveline's 4th upgrade (Favor and Fault) will not appear if you've already entered the area once in Act 3 before applying the patch

Perhaps you could fix some of the interface stuff.

The world map is pretty messed up, imo.

mostly the problem is that it still don't import correctly, it says i did not romance Alistair, when i did, it say i did not kill zevran, i did(it do say i didn't recruit him though, wich is correct) and a bunch of other things.

Still getting what is probably listed as EV#52957 – Some are getting a “Dragon Age II has stopped working” error. I even re-installed fresh from DVD again and ran the 1.02 patch. The demo worked fine on my system.

Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1

The "Mourning" Merrill quest is still broken for me, based on loading a save game from the end of Act 1 and then progressing into Act 2. Is the flag for that set earlier? Do I have to go all the way before the Deep Roads?

I can look in to when this is set for you but I assume it's earlier. To my knowledge, this was fixed.

I did the same thing and loded a save from before meeting the wardens at the end of act 1 and the merril quest also auto completed on starting act 2

It cannot be set before you choose to take Bethany with you to Deep Roads. My bet is that the flag is set during that conversation when you choose your party members for the expedition.

Thank you a lot for the patch! But as was said above, it didn't fix import save games issues (OC+Awakening+all DLC). When checking the world state with console, I still get "didn't romance Leliana", "Warden didn't sleep with Leliana" (my warden successfully romanced her).
Also "Anders died" and "Nathaniel left the wardens". When I check the save game with editor I see that Nathaniel died in Vigil's Keep siege. I defended Amaranthine and left Nathaniel and Anders in fully upgraded Vigil's Keep so none of my characters died in epilogue. But game still thinks that Vigil's Keep was destroyed and all the defenders were killed. No "finding Nathaniel" quest for me again, I guess.
Tried it on the old save and on newly made one (new game with save game import).

The problem with slow animation still exist on my old saves. Am I supposed to start a new game? Is there anyway I could fix old files without using any save editor ?

Not currently no. Either use a save editor or load back to a point where the problem does not exist (or is playable). It will not occur again or get any worse.

Fenris' Friendly Concern still isn't triggering, but opening up in the dev console does get the correct dialogue (instead of Varric suddenly referring to Isabela).

After installing the patch, Carver is now suddenly a Templar instead of a Grey Warden when loading Act 3 saves. When going to the Wounded Coast for the hostage scenario, he appears in Templar armor instead of the proper Warden armor.

Edit: just realized you said for all of act 3. If you load prior to the end of act 2 and then proceed to act 3 is this still the case? Regardless I'll tag this as an issue - has anyone else had this occur?
