I believe the health potion one is getting fixed but other than that tactics will not be getting touched this patch. We'd like to address all of the inherent issues with the system when we decide to tackle it.

Are imports being fixed?

We're fixing the imports with approval rating problems (the ones that are broken coming from DAA and onwards). There are other various import fixes as well but I can't say 100% that every import will be fixed for sure.

If I understand there might be a problem with importing from a "real" save file which can be a bit messed up. But if I'll use the Save Game Generator will it work properly? Just wanted to know :P .

That's excellent, Luke. What about the dialogue bugs? Not all the problems with Zevran (and, presumably, Leliana and Alistair and Morrigan) are import issues. Some of them are just wrong dialogue.

I also asked a few pages back about some of Anders dialogue. Aside from the Act 2 Tevinter Chantry Amulet and the Rivalry Crisis ending, there are a few other points where Anders acts a little strangely.

One example is the lovemaking scene. The kissing scene is fine, but for the bedroom scene at the Hawke estate, the dialogue is absolutely identical for a Rivalry Romance as it would be for Friendship romance. Not even a single line is different. A number of people have commented that this seems odd.

Can you confirm that this is working as intended?

Another slightly strange dialogue is the conversation at the beginning of Act 2 with Anders, when he mentions the Templars were nearly on his doorstep. If a f!Hawke chooses the flirty "I may have to tie you up to keep you safe" response, Anders gives her a very flirtatious response. If an m!Hawke chooses to flirt, Anders gives a response so neutral that I suspect it's actually from the NON-ROMANCE dialogue tree. It's like Anders is ignoring the flirtation, which is odd for the character who has been so aggressively pushing for the romance in Act 1.

This may be working as intended and just a difference between the way Anders is supposed to respond to m!Hawke vs. f!Hawke, but it seems strange that he wouldn't respond to a direct flirtation with the romance active, leading me to wonder if it's actually another dialogue bug.

Are fixes for the dialogue bugs (NOT just the import bugs!) relating to Origins characters in the works, and can you also have someone confirm that the above-mentioned scenes with Anders are working as intended, and if not, fix them?

Ill look in to those to see if there are any fixes on them and, if not, if it's intended

Thanks. Needless to say, the fixes for the dialogue for the Origins characters are most important. That is definitely bugged, as confirmed by Ejoslin and others who have tested it with correct imports.

Also, I don't see mention of the Exiled Prince content causing crashes on the front page.

And also, certain robe models are showing white hands with dark-skinned PCs/NPCs, which is rather irritating for those who want to play a mage who is a POC.

Now I've been reading through all of the things for which you folks have mentioned that your having problems with in regards to the game. I.E. game freezing up, import bugs etc.

Now I'm running the following system that I custom built

Intel I7 3.0 ghz processor
EVGA X58 Mobo
VisionTek Ati Radeion 5670 graphics Card
6gigs for tri channel ram
WD 2TB internal HD
DX 11
O/S Windows 7 64 bit

Now I've only come across a very small amount of the problems any of you claim to be getting. and they are as follows:

Act 2 Quests

1. Sketchy On The Details - As others have stated the quest don't update to the finished quests once you are given the reward.

2. "All That Remains - Once the quest is done and over with and you confront Dupuis in Dark town and you let him live when you get to Act 3 There is a letter waiting for you on your writing desk where in it he apologizes again for what happened to your mother and that he's given up magic for good. And says that while he was getting rid of things he found an Ancient Artifact that he thought that you would be able to use. Yet what ever it was that you were suppose to recieve from him for letting him live you don't get.

ACT 3  Quests

Favor & Fault Quest- Final Armor upgrade for Aveline isn't found on Jevin.

As for the "Who Needs Rescuing" quest I've never gotten that one in any of my play throughs so can't say one way or another about that one there.

Other than the few things for which I've mentioned here I've yet to have any of the problems for which others mention here. Not sure if its because of the system for which I'm running or what. But they just aren't happening on my end.

Now I've downloaded and have both the 1.01 and 1.02 patches in my download folder but I've yet to take the time to install either one of them. The reason being is the fact that I'm worried that they will break more than what they fix since I've been lucky as to not have allot of the problems for which others seem to be having.

I also noticed that the ones for which are having the problems don't mention the system they are running whether it be pc or game console. And if it is a PC how old is the system. Because if your running a system that is say a few years old or just boderline stats of what is required to play the game could be the reasons for which you are getting the freezing of the game or the crashes.

Other problems might be just to console games as opposed to the PC. It is not specified by the posters. Remember you might have the very minimum system to allow you to play the game but will it allow you to play it fully without crashing or feezing up?

For me, the import bugs are the highest priority. That will require some patching of Origins and its DLC as well, I suspect.

However, there is something I don't see on your list.

Maker's Sigh has another very serious bug, according to the wiki.

Additionally, Maker's Sigh triggers a glitch that reverts any positive,
passive bonuses (provided by currently equipped gear or from skills)
into a permanent negative modifier. For example, using Maker's Sigh
after taking the Shadow specialization (for Rogues) and unlocking
Pinpoint Strikes will give Hawke -25% critical damage permanently.

Now as for the problems with the Maker's Sigh potion I've never used it. So I couldn't say what it does or desn't do in all honesty there. Can't even remember off the top of my head what makers sigh does.

As for full screen I'm running the computer using an LG 47 inch  HD flat screen t.v and yes the game takes up the full screen.

Do me a favor and right click on the desk top icon for "Dragon Age II and/or Dragon AGE II Short cut and select Properties. When the box comes up look down to where it says Run and see what it says just to the right of "Run" it should say "Normal Window" if it don't click the down arrow select "Normal Window" Click "Apply" Click  "Save".

You might have to re-boot after this I'm not sure. But see if this corrects the problem with your not getting full screen.

Maker's Sigh allows you to respec your character and your friends. This is especially useful if you (1) like to min/max to get the best performance [a wasted point in a tree you don't plan to use is annoying], (2) change abilities for certain bosses/encounters [Qunari are resistant to lightning, so a primal mage isn't as useful], (3) you want to have multiple companions of the same class spec into different trees for different roles [like rolling with three mages].

As soon as I get 2g, getting a Maker's Sigh is the first thing I do in every single play.

The best way to avoid some of these problems is probably to take off your gear and/or remove companions from party before using the MS. The talent issues have to be fixed, but I hadn't noticed them either (played all three classes).

The Disorienting Shot issue isn't just with Varric. It seems to be the same with Hawke and Sebastian as well. The effect will only last for a split second.

Also, Pinning Shot doesn't seem to work as advertised, either(for any character). 'Normal' enemies get pinned so rarely, it seems to be far less than the 80% chance it's supposed to be - unless I've been extremely unlucky. It does happen, but it's the exception.

Will the problem that patch 1.02 cause, be fixed with patch 1.03? The problem/bug i mean is at the beginning of act 2. Hawkes mother mentioned carvers and bethanys deaths but only carver died. bethany is with the grey wardens. in version 1.01 it worked correctly.

Ah yes I understand what your saying about the Makers Sigh. Might have to give that one a look see in my next play through as I know its sold at the Black Emporium. Depends on what talents you take in the Primal mage like the Rock Armor and Stone Fist for example. And true Qunari are immune to lightening but have a great weakness to cold which is why you have a staff like Cold Blooded and elemental weapons. This not only gives the mage cold damage to ones like the Qun and the Dragons but the mages Allies as well. Hence with the right weapons and spells you can eliminate most foes without needing to change your stats all the time.  So as you can see there is ways around having to always use a potion like Makers Sigh.

Thanks. I play using the shortcut created by the game's installation, so it actually opens the launcher. It is set to "normal window," however.

I'll try a shortcut straight to the game itself.

I have a general question about 1.03 and beyond regarding the import issues. Are you guys planning to eventually patch DAO and DAA so the issues are finally resolved at the source? I'm not saying it has to be done "right now," but I would like to know that it's being considered and that care and attention of DAO and DAA is not gone just because there is a new game =/.

DAO and DAA have tremendous replay value for me. If there are patches to fix these issues, I have no qualms about doing a completely fresh play knowing that all of my choices are going to be counted when I import them into DA2.

Thanks to the devs for all their hard work <3.

Sorry if this is old news, it seems that running the game (disc based) through EA download manager causes the screen to go black and locks it up. I have another who has experienced the same issue, we have not yet been able to play through it yet.

Now when you say disc based are you saying that you've not installed the game on the Hard drive?

Ok because I've got two one is a short cut which I created to run the 'Console Commands".  Since it's set on "Normal Window" I'd like you to try something for me. Change it from the Normal Window setting to "Maximized" and run it and let me know what happens when you play the game. Once again not sure if you'll have to do a re-boot or not.

No, it's installed. I mean it wasn't digital, like my copy of ME2 is.
