Sorry if this is old news, it seems that running the game (disc based) through EA download manager causes the screen to go black and locks it up. I have another who has experienced the same issue, we have not yet been able to play through it yet.

Now when you say disc based are you saying that you've not installed the game on the Hard drive?

No, it's installed. I mean it wasn't digital, like my copy of ME2 is.

So you've got the game disc and have it installed on your computer  correct? What are the stats of your pc?

DA2 does not check for the disc in the drive as DAO did. You can play without it after installing. Why are you going through the EA download manager after the game is fully installed? You don't have a desktop or start menu icon you can click on?

You know I had all but forgotten about the fact that you no longer have to have the disk in to play the game on DA2. Thanks for reminding me about that there. As for why he/she is going through the d/l manager is another good question as well. as there is no reason to.

Well, I know I don't need the disc lol. EA download manager now has a chat feature, so I wanted to play the game through it as I do steam. But...we can't. Thats what I'm saying. :) Obviously right now I'm just playing the game as I would regularly through Steam.  It's not that big of deal, no. But I thought, since clearly they are attempting to make EA download manager similar to Steam, that they should be aware that people are having trouble getting DA2 to work through it. Not asking for assistance in the matter ;) Sorry if my posts weren't clear, I am able to play the game fine.

Well now that there sure clears things up as I was wonder what in the heck EA download Manager was. And I think  that with your having a problem with that there you should send a email to them as the are run seperatly by different folks. I didn't even know that there was such a thing to be honest with you there.

When I set the tactics to use health potions and stamina/lyrium potions, they don't take and go blank--meaning the tactic to use it stays on the tactic screen, but the item to be used when triggered is gone. This happens primarily when initially setting the tactic and then again for each character after leveling up.

If I am not mistaken, it's usually the last one that you set goes blank.  However, if you go back in and set again it will stick.

It's very annoying that your party member forget to use their potion.

In another apparent dialogue bug, if you're on the rivalry path with Merrill (non-romance, in my case, not sure about romance) but you give her the Dalish knife, she still acts as though you didn't in her "Questioning Beliefs" conversation.

Color me confused. I let her have the bloody thing, and next thing you know, she's ranted at me for throwing her sacrifice in the garbage.

I trusted Gascard at our first meeting in act 2, Hawke mother died, Gascard sided with me during confrontation againts the killer, after the quest finished I found Gascard in Darktown and allowed Fenris to kill him and then in act 3 Ive got a letter from Gascard like I didnt kill him.

The quest 'Magistrate's Orders' is still bugged. You actually get less money for blackmailing Magistrate Vanard than you get for just returning the quest regularly.

On "normal" return: 3 sovereigns
Blackmail: 2 sovereigns

This can't be right :> The journal entry also says "The Magistrate paid double to keep his son's secret." The correct reward for blackmailing Vanard should be 6 sovereigns according to this.

Any chance this makes it into the next patch? Should be pretty easy to fix, right?

As I don't feel like spitting through the entire thread, does the import issue with the noted characters also include Leliana?
It says "(all)" but the little autistic me has a hard time if "all" means just Alistair, Zevran and Morrigan or all LI's (Leliana included).

[*]Now I would advise you to go back and watch your own videos again as I just watched them and knew that the bood didn't disappear. You see the Seeker gave the book to Lelianna at the end. And when the seeker walked away Lelianna had the book not the Seeker.

You need to take a closer look at the time frame I gave. I am not talking about where the book went in general, and you have to be totally blind to miss that. Right before the camera switch back to Varric, the Seeker stands there holding the book ("Had the Champion not been there..") and then disappear right in her hand. I noticed it while I was playing it and then I looked on Youtube and confirmed it wasn't just my machine. Either the camera was too late switching over to Varric or the book should have stayed in her hand a sec longer.

Frame 1: Book in her hand

Frame 2: Book not in her hand

Kind of breaks the mood as you try to enjoy the ending.

Not sure if this is just me, but one of the models of mage boots has its UV-map all messed up on the female model. One boot is black, the other brown, and the laces are in the wrong place. The same model has been used for the DLC pack on the Orlesian Silk boots.

I know those boots. The non-DLC ones are available in Act 2. I'm not the correct level yet for the DLC ones. I always thought that design was intentional... I'll have to see the next time I get a pair.

I would agree, if not for the fact that everything else works through it, just not DA2. Regardless, not a big deal, just wanted to put it out there.

Well as for the "Sketchy on the Details" quest that but has been known for a while where it will up date but won't go into the finished quest.  As for the Nathaniel quest not sure on that one there as this will be the first time I got that one.<G> Going to run through it soon to check it out. After I do the Gamlan's quest first.  "Who needs Rescuing is in fact still bugged big time even after 1.02 patch. Which these have been mentioned several times on the board. Hopefully they will be corrected with the 1.03 patch that they are working on.

Now are you talking about the boots from the  items pack<S> that came out not to long ago? I've thought about downloading it but was wondering if it was worth putting out the $5 for it.

Oh and also. PLEASE fix double stealth. Sometimes enemy assassins use stealth, ambush you, and then instantly use stealth again. If you've ever played on nightmare you know how ridiculous this is.

Should this be intended I am truly disappointed.
