to lazy to search though 28 pages of stuff on what i have to say is the worst forum model out there, but i dont know what caused it but when i made Bethany a Warden it gave me "Bethany's Grey Warden Robes" but didnt put them on her, it gave me the item with the restriction of Bethany

This also happened to my Aveline. After getting her in the prologue she had her armor and there was a spare in the inventory, entirely useless. Only happened on 1/3 playthroughs though.
Oh and Luke wants to update his page 1 post. :?

Are we getting close to 1.03? It has been almost one month since 1.02.

Yeah it has. This and supplier have some issues - I haven't mentioned it on PC tech, apparently console people care more about achievements and trophies than PC gamers, who'd have guessed?! :o

Now, now Luke. Isn't it a bit cynical to add 'chievos to the PC version and not expect people to care about them? ;)

Things that might be considered for fixes:

Save game transfers tend to be bugged or something. Romances not carrying over in dialogue (Zev for example), all my awakening character transfers having Nathaniel saying I saved the Architect. I killed him every time.

Need better camera options for AOEing for mages and archers. Find a nice empty spot in the middle of a mass of mobs and still unable to target due to dead body…Great. Not.
Enemies on a ledge above or on stairs slightly elevated from my position can’t aoe them with current camera.

More video options would be nice, shadows on/off, gamma settings that work etc.

Throw the gauntlet doesn’t seem to be working as intended. Many/most times after using it mobs/boss will still go after warrior. Warrior is in scrapper mode, no taunt just being near seems to be enough to pull mob. Or perhaps I should say the upgrade is not working as described, the enemy should not seek a new target but does even if that target has done 0 damage to them.

Tactics menu is a mess. I would prefer the old one, very hard to set this one up and not all options seem to be able to be used at all. Ugh

Those are some of my major annoyances at any rate…whatever its worth.

I have encountered some gameplay bug regarding abilites of Varric and rouges...

1. Disorienting criticals doesn't work. When a rouge is obscurred by going into stealth and you reliably crit someone nothing happens. The enemy should be disoriented but he is not

2. Varrics Kickback upgrade states that it should make +800% damage against staggered targets. However it does not. All the other features of the upgrade work but this one doesn't

I hope that Bioware will address these issues as well

Cheers

Game randomly locks up, for no apparent reason.

If it were a crash to desktop, at least it'd generate the error report and send it. unfortunately, it just stops responding and has to be killed via Task Manager.

On my last playthrough, PC using patch 1.02 throughout

Quest: A New Path.
Merrill was on the friendship path, not romanced.
"I'm glad that's over" option selected for the extended battle with the Pride Demon.
I took responsibility for Merrill's actions to avoid battle with the elves.
Merrill's friendship was showing at 70% in the savegame.

The quest showed as "completed" in the journal, but there was no final scene at Merrill's home. It had not occurred earlier in the playthrough either (as it did before 1.02).

I am still crossing my fingers The Enigma of Kirkwall bug in Act 1 on PC will be fixed. I've posted in multiple places including here about it but it has been ignored. I understand developers are busy and cannot respond for everyone. To which I add, I have respect for every designer so please view my post with amateur curiosity and opinion when it comes to your job.

This is a minor bug which drops it down on the priority fix list. But I am a codex fanatic. I haven't progressed to Act 2 because I am patiently waiting. But part of me maybe in slight arrogance wonders how hard could it possibly be to tell a developer to move the codex from behind the wall to its proper place? Is it really that complex of coding or like moving an item in The Sims for example? I have no extensive knowledge of game design so I could of course be way off base.

But all in all it looks way more simple versus fixing an ability not performing correctly. While the latter is definitely a bigger priority the codex seems like something someone could do in ten minutes if that. Either way, I am looking forward to the next patch and the host of fixes it brings! :)

What codex are you talking about? I mean, what area, what room?

This used to happen to me too. Try getting the latest drivers for your video card. I know Nvidia released new ones a few weeks ago, they fixed the problem for me.

Any news on 1.03? Playthrough Nr. 7 is on hold until it arrives and my unborn mage Lady Hawke is getting restless. Pretty please, dearest Bioware?:o

A good thing to fix is the page for downloading bought mods. My windows crashes everytime and i get the message that it was caused by an error on the page. Other than that I haven't played long enough to have more ideas

just like last time (when the exact same posts were being made), we can't really give any dates on the patch just yet. You could probably extrapolate roughly where we are based on how the last patch was handled though :bandit:

Extrapolating away...

The game came out on the 8th (or 11th) of March. The last patch came out on the 12th of April or thereabouts. And now it's the 9th of May. I'd say the next patch if quite close.

I have just encountered a problem that I've seen mentioned in other threads. During the third wave of dragonlings during the fight with the high dragon in the Mine Massacre quest, the HD retreats to her perch and remains there in an untargettable state (even Tab does not indicate her presence, although her dot remains on the mini-map) after everything else has been killed. AoE attacks seem to work (her health bar appears for a moment) but no damage numbers appear over her. Only a minority of players seem to be experiencing this and I have read that this does not happen on Easy difficulty.

I may have spotted a clue in that, according to http://dragonage.wik...i/Mine_Massacre, the third wave is supposed to spawn two dragons. After killing the dragonlings and then the one visible dragon no second one appears for me.

*Edit:

Suspicion seemingly confirmed. I just replayed the battle leaving some of the dragonlings alive until the dragon was dead. The second then appeared and the HD returned to the field once the wave was defeated.

Anders wears his "Ring of the Awakened" around his neck. That's got to be a tight fit.

As his boyfriend, I refuse to enter into any discussion of Ander's ring ;)

In a Save Game import, when running the zz_vault_debug script, it states that "Player did not chose home for the Dalish" where I did in that particular import. This is constant whether it is a Vanilla Origins import or an Origins/Awakening/Witch Hunt import. I know the various romance issues are being addressed,, but I wasn't sure if anyone had mentioned the Dalish homeland import bug. It also seems that when using the pre-generated Martyr background, that there also is no Dalish Homeland. Is this being addressed, or does the choice of a Dalish Homeland simply have no meaning in DA2 so is not even a variable worth addressing?

Thank you Bioware for all your hardwork in fixing these issues. I can't wait to revisit DA2 once 1.03 is released!

Finding a LOT of empty chests, bags, crates, etc... in Act 3.

They're all glowy and sparkly, indicating they can be looted, then when you open them, they contain nothing.

May have been mentioned previously, just wasn't in the mood to scour almost 30 pages of posts to see.

Still having an issue with the fade barrel puzzles in Act 2 where on click they'll move pretty much any direction except the one they should--they'll go into the floor, into the walls, into other barrels, and sometimes they just go back and forth between solid and translucent.

I haven't seen these listed yet.

There are bigger issues at large, definitely, but any issue is an issue. Take that, logic.

I started over when 1.02 was released, using an imported Awakenings save.

1) Doors that you can interact with disappear in certain areas. In my 1.01 attempt for example, when I first went to Anders' clinic and the cutscene of him healing the child played, it was triggered by me opening the door to his clinic. After the cutscene in 1.01, those doors were still there. After the same cutscene in 1.02, the doors to his clinic disappear permanently for the rest of the act, but they do come back for act 2. Along the same line, some doors in The Hanged Man exist during the day and do not during the night. And why doesn't Varric's living space have a door? Seems like he's the type that would need one.

2) In Gamlen's house, all quest-initiating mail is dismissed with an Accept button, and is then deleted. All 'filler' mail for lore purposes is dismissed with a Read button, and is then deleted. In the Hawke Estate in act 2, the read and accept buttons are seemingly arbitrary, and the only two that work like in Gamlen's house are for Night Terrors and Underground Railroad, the rest of the mail stays on the writing table indefinitely.

3) Shouldn't there be a way to turn off the shimmer around the "Change Party" horn thing?

4) After The Long Road, the duty roster stays posted and Guardsman Brennan stays glued to it. Maybe intentional, I don't know, but it looks to me like an oversight on tying up the effects of a quest.

5) In the journal, there's a section for "Letters And Notes" that contain most the game's filler material, but then right below that is a "Notes" section that contains the Grey Warden Letters. Stuff like this just screams "bad communication" - whoever was responsible for the cohesion between programmers wasn't doing their job.

Again, I know this is pretty small stuff, but DA:O only got to v1.04 before patching was abandoned, and without a toolset for DA2, pretty much all bug-fixes have to come from you guys.

Below are some issues that I've noted without obviously repeating issues other people have already raised.

- Vandetta sometimes goes a bit haywire. Sometimes when I use it (from a fair distance from the targeted enemy) Hawke only appears behind that enemy for a millisecond, the hit connects but then Hawke keeps position where she was when activated Vandetta. This has happened a couple of times when the targetted enemy was part way up a stair case and Hawke was on open ground.
Also sometimes Vandetta doesn't trigger properly when activated, Hawke will run up to melee distance from the targetted enemy, get in a couple of hits then the Vandetta connects.

- During the dialogue at the end of act 2 when Hawke, Aveline & co go to confront the Arishok, Avelines sword switches back to her original sword (Chevaliers Reach) from the start of the game and her shield disappears.

- When you go to talk to the Arishok about Seamus Dumar in act 2 the conversation loops and plays twice.

- The Fereldan Imports shop in Lowtown moves after act 1.

- During Merril's personal quest in act 3 (when she wants to summon the demon) if you take Fenris he will comment about Arlathan during that dialogue in the cave (when Hawke asks how the demon got there) but he will be invisible. When the screen pans to Fenris it just shows the background/room behind him so you get a disembodied voice.

- At random times (there is one with Cullen at some point) the person talking in a dialogue scene will be shown in soft focus.

- I know Sketchy on the Details is a well established issue not clearing from your journal but when you fight the Denerim group you end up with a heap of quest markers on the map for where each body fell after the fight is finished. Not sure if that has been noted elsewhere.

- On an import from an Awakenings play through Anders helped successfully defend the keep and lost the drinking contest but when you meet Stroud in the Deep Roads in act 1 he comments that he thought Anders was dead.

- If Alistair survived DAO and was romanced by the Warden when you meet him during the Qunari siege in act 2 I get the friend warden dialogue when he gives you the amulet instead of the romanced warden dialogue.

- In my current play through when I killed the high dragon in act 3 I got an invisible dragon in the kill shot cut scene.

Isabella disappeared before battle with Arishok, though i had ~80% friendship with her, and all her quests was completed. Kinda sad.
