GUI Elements are not aligned properly after installing 1.02

The GUI elements thing was caused by a mod.

What was the name of the mod so I can write it in the main post?

The bug where Warrior mutually exclusive modes like Might and Control can be on simultaneously is still not fixed.

I imported a DA:O>Shale>Wardens Keep>Awakenings>Golem>Witch Hunt game to check just what the game reported. I don't know if its a bug, but it did not report my wardens romance with Lilianna.

I checked my completed 1.0 game, and the Lilianna journal in-game did not mention any of this. The Flemeth journalfile mentioned Morrigan, but not her dark experiment with the Hero of Ferelden (but the import report did).

This could be important for my game experience, I want to keep all past choices for future DA3 (or whatever) imports.

Rivalry-specific options and dialogues for Anders are not appearing from the Chantry explosion onwards.

DirectX 11 issues still haven't been worked out. My game still crashes after about 2 minutes of gameplay. Running GTX570 with the latest drivers.

Smackey, do you happen to see a little repeating pattern of green artifacts over every section of the screen, briefly, before the DA2 app shuts down or the PC reboots?  I do.

I've had two GTX 570's now, and it's definitely a graphics memory issue but replacing the GTX 570 hasn't helped (although it did make it happen much less often).  I find that if I turn the memory clock on the card lower than the stock setting, it seems to fix or drastically reduce the frequency of the issue.

I think a lot of these newer video cards, especially the 500 series by NVidia, are being "factory overclocked" too highly by the various manufacturers because they're not testing the overclocks well enough.  DA2 is the only application that is video-memory-intensive enough to cause this crash for me (that I can find).  I know heat and power are not the issue for me because I am running a Mac Pro, and if there's one thing they do well it's passively cool the case and provide plenty of power for HDs and video cards (1 KW in my case).  I also test the wattage and the case temperature (along iwth the card's temp too).  BTW I am running windows 7 on my Mac Pro, natively, using boot camp.  I don't even have OSX installed!  So DA2 is the windows version, along with everything else software-wise.

Anyone else noticing DA2 is either much more sensitive to overclocks than other current games?  Or is there maybe some change that a DA2 bug is actually emulating a hardware issue (BSOD and memory arifacts on the screen briefly)?

I'm still getting the administrator account error and can't start the game. This is incredibly disappointing.

This isn't a major issue, but it isn't currently possible to confirm a partial allocation of Attribute points when a character levels up (the "Confirm" button doesn't appear until after all available points have been used). Is there any chance that the button could be made available as soon as one or more points have been assigned?

Apart from that, I've been waiting for the save import issues to be fixed before I continue playing, but I see those are still on the to-do list.

Varrick's Friendly Concern quest/conversation still does not appear for non-Anders romances as it should be.

Don't know if it's feasible, but I have a suggestion on how to solve a few of the import issues in 1.03...

If the player chooses to import an Awakening or DLC campaign (like Witch Hunt) save file, couldn't the game simply prompt the player to choose a secondary import file from the original DAO campaign?

That seems like a decent enough way to get the Approval data and such that would otherwise be missing,

Sigh.

I just replayed the deep roads, from a save file PRIOR to speaking with Bartrand and choosing my party. Did the whole thing, started Act 2, and Mourning STILL auto-completes right after the conversation with the viscount.

Is this some kind of joke?

I've actually got this on a short-list of new features that should be added/changed. Can't say that anything will come of it anytime soon but I can at least tell you I too wish this was in the game as I often don't want to spend all of my attribute points at once.

After talking to the design team it was established that this quest was supposed to be cut from the game and somehow remnants of it stuck around in some fashion. Rest assure it has no affect on anything going forward (and even when it was in the game it was a very brief conversation with not plot modifying flags). Sorry for the confusion.

I took your advice and underclocked the card a tad when I ran the game and it seems to work pretty well. Thanks a million! :D

So Merrill simply doesn't have a companion follow-up at the start of Act 2 like the others if you take your sibling along to the Deep Roads? That's disappointing.

Could be purely coincidence since I tried a lot of things, but I mostly stopped getting video freezes (visuals freeze, sound keeps playing) during the game after I stopped overclocking my 6850.

I'm getting this with Origins for some reason, but not DA2.  Could it have something to do with their end, some server mess up or something?

So Merill is the only companion in the game who you don't get a "catching up" quest with after Act 1? That seems like an absurd design decision, considering she's one of the only two female romances in the game.

Thanks for clearing that up, at any rate. And thanks for always being the guy who actually responds to our posts here. Even if some of these issues with the game bring me to livid states, I always apprecciate your posts.

I usually overclock my laptop video card (AMD 5830M) to 550(core)/1100(memory), but with DA2 I have to reduce it to 525/1030 or so.

Not a truly game-breaking experience, but certain talents, such as Varric's Kickback, don't upgrade properly.

Band of Three Codex - Location: Viscount Keep. The books do not materialize in Act 1, like they're supposed to. There's still 3 others so Archaeologist is completable but the 4th one should be able to be read.

This is a bug on the PC version, I've heard rumors you can button mash in the Xbox/PS3 to acquire it.
