Not wholly related, but I'm running the steam version so should I wait for Steam to roll out the patch, or is it safe to just download it from this site?

If you have the steam version you'll need to steam patch. It should be out very soon to my knowledge.

I had heard there were issues in Awakenings not importing/exporting flags properly from DA:O.

I thought there were 100+ fixes?

Over 100 fixes/changes were checked in to the patch. This doesn't necessarily mean they are all content changes that require a note - also, many of them are clustered in to general fixes in the notes.

I've never had any problems with import. I didn't import an Awakening save, though, just my final save from Origins. If the problem is Awakening having a buggy import, the only real solution is to start a new game and then edit your first save with an editor.

Most of the reports I've seen from community members is that the issues arise from Awakening saves. I've got that all written down but if the issue is actually with Awakening and not Dragon Age II (or perhaps even just an older version of awakening compared to now) then I can't really help much, unfortunately. I would try with an Origin save to see if the issue persists.

Any word on the steam patch or is this another *wait another day* majobberoothingamy, Got two fresh playthroughs to start but would rather run with the new patch :S

I'll ask right now and hopefully get some kind of answer. Though my money is on 'soon' :?

Apparently it came out right as I said that :wizard:

I was merely suggesting that people test importing the origins save to see if the issue still persists to isolate whether it's an issue with DA2 imports or with Awakenings.

In the mean time I've reinforced the severity of this issue with design and programming to see if we can come to a solution or if one, perhaps, already exists.

All right then. I apologize if I misread you.

Hopefully we'll see a significant correction of this issue soon.

No need to apologize. I understand the frustration of not having a product work the way it was intended. I am doing everything I can to get a swift resolution on these issues.

I obviously don't know if this was addressed in the new patch, but I am still unable to launch the game at all due to the bug telling me that I don't have enough administrative privileges to run the game. I'm definitely the admin on my pc, and I can see all my system data so the fix in the 'unable to launch' thread doesn't really apply to me

I've seen a few posts of users making new accounts and the game running fine. Perhaps try making a new user account and installing it there but selecting allow all users to access this (or whatever that option is called)

The Rally skill should put the modal skills of the caster on to the rest of the group - you'll actively see that buff on those characters in the bottom right where all the buff icons are. If this isn't happening, try using Maker's Sigh and resetting the skill.

As for the Revenant pull, I'm guessing it was the ring stopping the pull. Last I played the game (with the in-house version) both those two things were in but that's not to say they didn't magically break right before cert.

For people saying Who needs rescuing still wont complete. Did you already have it started in your save? There is a good chance you'll need to load back before entering Wounded Coast to get it to work correctly.

The problem seems to be partially in DA:O and partially in the import mechanism in DA2
DA:O problems, I fear, will never be addressed

I've got a few people looking in to these DA:O/A specific issues right now to see if there is anything we can do to fix this going forward. Unfortunately, even if we patched those older titles you would have to beat them again to generate a new save which I suspect most people wouldn't be too happy about.

SO, right now we're trying to come up with a firm solution to this issue, thats about all I can say on the topic.

I have the slow motion bug... Can I just revert to an earlier save (before getting Isabela's buff) and continue on from there, or must I start from scratch?

I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answered before, I have just not yet been able to find a straight answer myself.

You can revert back to before you got her buff and it will work fine.

Avelines final armour upgrade is NOT fixed for me. I just killed Jeven and looted him but it was not on his body. That is after installing 1.02 yesterday at which point I did not even have Favour and Fault quest.

So ... a whole replay required to get her final upgrade? Image IPB

It shouldn't require that. I'll look in to this for you and see if maybe they just changed the location of it. Has anyone else had this issue in 1.02? Or conversely, has anyone been able to get the 4th Upgrade for Aveline?

Yes, the armor sets are fixed. The issue was a systemic thing which was the same issue causing the maker's sigh to break as well as isabela's slow-mo issue (among other things)

If that ends up being the only way we can address import issues going forward then that is what will happen. My point was more to the effect of hoping that a da2 exclusive fix would work so you didn't HAVE to go back through DAO to get it working properly. Obviously we want to rectify this issue in the best way we can going forward.
