I can confirm that "Finding Nathaniel" reads the flags properly if the Warden killed the Architect.

Zevran is still buggy though, I guess the flags are completely bonked if the Warden romanced him in Origins.

So now I have to fight the merril (mourning) bug.
I have a save at the end of the Deep Roads
Would it be possible to jump to the start of the expedition and choose the sibling again and jump right back to the end via

runscript zz_dae_debug ?

I've never had any problems with import. I didn't import an Awakening save, though, just my final save from Origins. If the problem is Awakening having a buggy import, the only real solution is to start a new game and then edit your first save with an editor.

Most of the reports I've seen from community members is that the issues arise from Awakening saves. I've got that all written down but if the issue is actually with Awakening and not Dragon Age II (or perhaps even just an older version of awakening compared to now) then I can't really help much, unfortunately. I would try with an Origin save to see if the issue persists.

At least some of the issues seem to be related to the way DA2 interprets the data from our imported save games. There is a community fix for this, and it has been around for quite some time.

Works like a charm for me. If a community member can make this, it should not be impossible to patch it.

I was merely suggesting that people test importing the origins save to see if the issue still persists to isolate whether it's an issue with DA2 imports or with Awakenings.

In the mean time I've reinforced the severity of this issue with design and programming to see if we can come to a solution or if one, perhaps, already exists.

All right then. I apologize if I misread you.

Hopefully we'll see a significant correction of this issue soon.

Can anyone confirm if the "A Bitter Pill" and "Dark Tome" quest bugs have been fixed?

Good; that bug was really jarring.  Nathaniel, dear, you watched my Warden kill the guy.  Get it right.

No need to apologize. I understand the frustration of not having a product work the way it was intended. I am doing everything I can to get a swift resolution on these issues.

I see dx11 is listed in fix list. Game still crashes after few seconds gameplay for me with dx11, high res textures and latest beta nvidia drivers :(

So Finding Nathaniel quest and slo-mo still are not not fixed? I was unable to start that quest no matter what even if I kept loyal Nathaniel with me through the final boss. How about buggy king Alistair dialogue about the Warden waiting at home, when he actually left through eluvian?

I've been waiting for those to be fixed in the patch. It sucks too see how all you did post Origins turned out to be one big bug. Very disappointing waste of time.

Meanwhile, in the world of graphics performance, I quickly confirmed that patch 1.02 does NOT fix the choppy character animations when the mouse cursor is over the screen anywhere but the user interface, or the right button is held down.

It's just as bad as always.

I know this is a bug that only happens to some people, so for the record, ATI 6870, Win7 x64 ;)

I'm not that stressed at the moment - while I own DA2, I don't want to play it until I've finished Awakening and the other DLC from Origins, and while I'd planned to do that this week, I can't for very well known reasons :)

I obviously don't know if this was addressed in the new patch, but I am still unable to launch the game at all due to the bug telling me that I don't have enough administrative privileges to run the game. I'm definitely the admin on my pc, and I can see all my system data so the fix in the 'unable to launch' thread doesn't really apply to me

I've seen a few posts of users making new accounts and the game running fine. Perhaps try making a new user account and installing it there but selecting allow all users to access this (or whatever that option is called)

Excellent! I'll be replaying from scratch so I'll make a list of past issues I stumbled upon being gone.

I can confirm that "Who needs rescuing" quest is 1/2 bugged for me since my character have already gotten the quest and went to the spot before. Now the enemies spawn, I can talk to the NPC, but I am still unable to get quest completion despite killing them.

Also, Merrill's "A New Path" quest end dialog for me doesn't trigger even though I 've finished her quest, apparently because my character already got that speech from her earlier.

For the people who are having savegame import problems, did you try using the Dragon Age Save Generator?

Upon loading a Post-Campaign save, the game tells me I have a quest at my desk :D

Image IPB

Granted, it's not too big an issue so I'm posting it here instead of in the other thread. The other quest marker is for the items I haven't collected yet, so it's not a problem. I don't know if it's a me-thing and I can't test it since I only have one post-campaign save pre-patch.

This looks like the romance import flags weren't fixed? And Zevran's cameo? I just want to confirm this. Testing with a save, using both the import flag mod and without the import flag mod shows the behavior of Zevran's cameo as exactly the same as in 1.01 which leads me to believe his dialog wasn't fixed. IOW, without the import flag fixed, no acknowledgement at all, but with the mod that fixes the import flag, the codex being updated properly mentioning the warden as his lover, but the dialog being incorrect and Zevran assuming the warden is dead.

When I started a new game and ran zz_vault_debug, the flag was the same as in 1.01 -- Zevran being flagged as not romanced.  With a witch hunt import, there were two instances of saying he was not romanced.  With an origins import, just like in version 1.01, there was one switched on, one switched off.  Looking at the save game with pyGFF the data is imported correctly (romance switched on and approval at 100) but the vault is still reporting the flag incorrectly.

I can't know for certain without playing through to act 3, but it certainly looks like his cameo was NOT fixed.

Are there plans to fix this? Or for a toolset to be released so someone else can fix it?

Can anyone confirm has the Isabela/Sabestian friendship bug been fixed yet? I have not romanced either of them yet so if it is fixed, that will be great.

Edit : Bug has been fixed but not retroactive

I have used the generator only after my first playthrough and haven´t progressed far into another (was waiting for the patch). But i would like to know that as well. Maybe the generator is able to set the flags right and doesn´t screw it up like Awakening seems to do. :?

I just read the 1.03 planning thread. That clears up a few things. This patch is not going to the final one for sure. And Luke Barrett, great to see you out here taking the heat and trying to work with the fans :)
