Can anyone confirm has the Isabela/Sabestian friendship bug been fixed yet? I have not romanced either of them yet so if it is fixed, that will be great.

This is fixed, but you might need to start a new save game from the beginning. Not sure if it is necessary.

From what I gather, the problem is prevented, but your current save games won't be fixed for any damage that's already been done, so you either have to edit your save game or find one where there's no issues.

If you're not friends with either yet, though, things should be good to go.

To all those asking question about what patch 1.02 fixes, I think the idea is that you patch the game and go and find out ... this thread being a place to then confirm what has been fixed.

Yes, but it's easier to just ask, because the devs would know for sure what should be retroactive.

i check my import with runscript zz_vault_debug

Anders is still dead
Nathaniel still left the wardens
My warden still not made love to Morrigan
My warden still not in love with Morrigan
No foursomes with leliana and Zevran

Keep working guys, you will made it next month, perhaps ...

For instance, I would not expect this kind of stuff to be fixed without a new game, because it was imported from an Origins save that the game no longer has any knowledge of, so there's no real way to retroactively fix this.

The Isabella/Sebastian bugs, on the other hand, affect stats that are hardcoded or can be calculated, so those could be retroactively fixed.

The import things are not fixed, even with a new game.

My warden still hasn't romanced Zevran.  Zevran had additional dialog bugs that were definitely not addressed.

I would just like to know if they're going to be addressed in the future.

Edit: According to the patch notes, the only import bug that was fixed was Nathaniel.

I see dx11 is listed in fix list. Game still crashes after few seconds gameplay for me with dx11, high res textures and latest beta nvidia drivers :(
Game fine in dx9.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Edition

Are you overclocked? have you tried rolling back and using older NVIDIA drivers?

I'm playing on a laptop with a much lower quality DX11 laptop video card (AMD Mobility 5830) at 1920x1080, very high detail settings, high res texture pack, SSAO, 16 x AF, 2 x AA, High Quality Blur, and the game doesn't crash for me. The only thing I noticed is that I was not able to overclock as high as I can with other games. (usually I overclock to 550/1100 - in this case, the highest stable overclock for me was 525(core)/1030(memory).

Also, I'm using really old AMD drivers from about 1 year ago. I am always hesitant to update to new video card drivers when things are currently running well.

DX11 still isn't 100% for me, and I do have the latest nvidia update.  It was never about fps, but really jerky animation.  It's definitely somewhat aleviated with the firmware update and patch, but character animation still feels really jerky when going from High to Very High.  Characters look like for every 1 foot they move forward, they move back a few inches in between strides.

I was going to try an Import from Dragon Age Origins to start my second playthrough of the game, but i think i had better delay that and just play another new character. My issues were not many or serious during my first playthrough { just little annoying things like companion armour upgrades not displaying as having been implemented etc}, however i think i had better avoid the problems arising from Imports for now. If i notice anything amiss i will report it here.

(1) I still cannot see Rally affect Hawke on stats screen. Is this normal? Can someone else check it out, please?

(2) Revenants' Pull now at least does ranged damage and knocks me down. It does not seem to attract me, like ARW's Pull does (or maybe I resist it because of Etched Ring? it's a low Fortitude char). Prior to 1.02, they were just sticking their swords into the ground, producing no visible effect at all.

(3) The UI, indeed, is somewhat screwed-up. For me, it's health/stamina bars. Quite inconvenient, I must say. Manageable, of course, but inconvenient.

Can you elaborate on what you are expecting to see on the stats screen?

For me, Rally gives the other party members a mana/stamina boost, but not Hawke. I haven't gotten far enough in my new v1.02  playthrough to test whether Rally gives the other party members Elemental Aegis, etc.

BTW, many of the fixes do not work retroactively, so the best way to test is by starting a completely new game.

Ok, so I've checked my imported save status through console by running runscript zz_vault_debug and apparently romance flags were not checked properly - it said that I didn't romance Morrigan, but I did and had her approval to 100% love. Also, apparently Nathaniel still leaves the Wardens even when I took him with me to fight the boss and his approval was over 90.

The only way to solve these problems for now is to download this fix:

Rally should transfer modal effects to Hawke. It is logical to assume I should see Elemental Aegis boost at Resistances, right?

I see what you mean - Hawke is the recipient of Rally in your case, correct? Is this a new game or are you using an older save game with the 1.02 patch?

I will test whether Elemental Aegis works with Rally as soon as I get it for Fenris in my new playthrough.

So if we care about our Origins import romances, we'd just import from there rather than Awakening? That works - I haven't seen a lot of "I knew her when" from Anders, but I would like to see Nathaniel again!

There was a mod to - sort of - fix past relationships. I guess we should still leave this intact? (though I don't think it fixed Zevran thinking his beloved is dead and/or hitting on Hawke either way)

Beyond that, thanks for the patch! I had the workaround fix for the bug anyway, but it led to me giving myself super powers & unlimited cash, so I appreciate the official version. (Gods must, in the end, get very bored.)

Unfortuantely, that adds bugs for Zevran and Alistair as they have dialog bugs as well -- and as far as I can tell, Zevran's dialog was not fixed (I haven't checked Alistair but since it wasn't mentioned, it probably wasn't fixed either).  Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if the romance flags weren't fixed because of the obvious dialog bugs.

That mod DOES allow for Zevran's romanced codex to trigger, so it's worth using for that alone, but it doesn't repair the dialog bugs.

It depends on the romance.  Zevran, no matter if using a DAO or a DAA or whatever save is broken.  Leliana may work.  I have no clue about Alistair.

It's very very odd if abi_base.gda fixes like Lacerate and Rally ones require a fresh start, so to say. It should not be that way. Once the ability is patched, it is patched. It's not flag-dependent or something, like quest bugs. Nevertheless, thanks for your assistance :)

I'm not sure how this all works, but certain non-quest fixes, for example the Thumbs Up bug, seem to only work on a new game. If I understand correctly, the Thumbs Up bug gets "baked" into the older save game.

I believe for v1.03 the devs are working on retroactive fixes for this sort of thing.

So even if we skip an Awakenings import, (I've been importing from Witch Hunt only so far) - and take the last Origins save, they'll still think we're dead? Nooo! I want to LIVE!

Is something else going on?  I went to check my last Origins saves & I'm told I'm unauthorized. (Grrrr - it says here that I am fully & happily authorized!J)  I  need to tweak my mage for her possible legacy!

So, when using an Origin->Awakenings->Golems->Witch Hunt import, that mod will circumvent almost all of the import bugs?

So, after all, should this not get fixed officially some time in the future, that would be the best way to go for now? As I understood, that mod will also work with playthroughs already in progress?

Then, my last concern would be whether this mod would conflict with other stuff in the future (patches, addons, DA 3). I would prefer to do my favorite playthrough only once. Being in Act I, restarting now would be easier than after having played through most of the story already...

I'd just like to go the safest route, that's why I prefer official fixes.

PS: Just noticed that I joined the import bug discussion already 26 days ago with high hopes for the first major patch.

I didn't romance them so I cannot confirm that. However, if this fix would at least let me finally initiate Nathaniel quest I'd be happy.

I'm very dissapointed with the sheer number of import bugs - gamers were working hard to complete the first game the way they wanted just to get some aknowledgement in DA2 and in the end all they've got is a buggy mess. I dread to see what will happen in DA3 - major desicions not importing properly would be the worst case scenario. ME2 imported saves in comparision to DA2 were flawless  :( :( :(.

No, no. The bug is fixed upon the installation of the patch, but if the damage is already done, the patch won't restore your original DR/animation speed values.

It looks like your problem may be related to MSVCR80.dll
Have you searched google to see if you can find anything about it?

Yeah It is related to this dynamic library, but ONLY for original da2.exe, today i try nonofficial executable and game works... But this is not the way i want to play.

Btw, the drivers for audio card (as you ask for) are newest one. And there is no others problem in any way for other SW on NTB.

Spec of NTB:

CPU: Intel C2D T9300 @2.50GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 512 MB driver ver. 270.51 beta

No.  The romance imports do not work -- I believe the mod author removes the approval requirement, so it's just looking at the romance flag (I could be wrong, that was my understanding of how it worked).

Keep in mind that the romance data itself is importing correctly at least from DAO.  If you look at the import data in a save game editor, it's definitely there and correct.  But for some reason it's not being read properly in game.

Edit: I believe the issues with DLC/Awakening imports is that the approval is not imported into them -- only the romance active status (and only romance_active -- not actual breakdowns of the romance like care, adore, in love, still in love).  With DAO, though, it shows that the problem is beyond that as it DOES import the correct approval rating.
