Fixed in PC Patch 1.02

I just want Zevran to remember my Warden and not cheat on him with Hawke and Isabela. I don't understand why it's Awakening's fault that Zevran cheats on my Warden in DA2.

No. As long as you haven't reached the event in question, the mod will set off the triggers correctly.

So, again, without a patch fixing the way imported flags and missing approval data are treated, the fan mod / fix is the best way to go for now, right?
The only thing I'm risking is that the mod may have to be removed should 1.03 take care of this, right?
Just trying to make sure how / if I can continue my playthrough one way or the other with my Warden's story being reflected correctly without risking severe incompatibilities in the future.

The problem seems to be partially in DA:O and partially in the import mechanism in DA2
DA:O problems, I fear, will never be addressed
I've got a few people looking in to these DA:O/A specific issues right now to see if there is anything we can do to fix this going forward. Unfortunately, even if we patched those older titles you would have to beat them again to generate a new save which I suspect most people wouldn't be too happy about.
SO, right now we're trying to come up with a firm solution to this issue, thats about all I can say on the topic.
That's why I said that about DA:O-DAA
I personally wouldn't mind. Think I played it with at least 10 characters so far and still playing it.
But I can imagine the rest of the community will go nerdrage about that.
The only way I see it to be fixed 'easily' for the community, would be an update to the config tool.
You could add a SAVE GAME tab, where you can browse your save by characters.
The tool should be created to browse through DA:O, DAA, Golem and Witch Hunt and save all the variables inside a new .XML, and patch DA2 so that it goes to read that specific .XML
Pardon me if I seem too 'intrusive' with such a suggestion, but to me its seems the best solution.
Of course, this only if the game properly save the important plot flags/romance variable in the save game, 'cause if something is saved wrong we are just screwd. And this is a palpable reality since many ending slides are wrong on many plot flag during DA:O ending.

I do not undestand at all. HAWKE is still stuck in slow-motion/slow animation. The game is unplayable, he dies almost instantly because the animation is so slow. I have both Isabelle and Sebastian in my party - both with positive friendship attributes.
I thought this was fixed in the patch?
It's fixed but you have to start a new game because the animation speed values are already baked in to your old savegame.

It sounds like the patch prevents the issue, but doesn't fix your save game. You'll need to edit your save game to correct the bad values on your character.

Could these sorts of issues be avoided by using the DAO Save Generator tool, since it allows you to choose DAO and Awakenings options without having to import anything into Awakenings?
Maybe we just need a more comprehensive tool that allows you to select the specific approval ratings for each companion.
In theory, yes, that'd be possible. But the DAO Save Generator in its current state doesn't generate approval ratings. It would have to be modified to do so before it would be a viable alternative.
Then by the sounds of it, a save generated by the generator along with the mod that removes the approval checks *should* work.

Except, of course, if Zevran's (or whomever's) dialogue is actually bugged so it's not giving the right dialogue even with the proper flags.

I've never had to do it myself. In theory it should work -- but backups are your friends.

Don't know if possible, but seems the most reasonable way.
Even better you could have the tool to browse through DA:O, DAA, Golem and Witch Hunt and save all the variables inside a new .XML, and patch DA2 so that it goes to read that specific .XML

I was thinking much the same thing. It's a good compromise between the broken method in place now, and creating a "save game generator" like Gibbed's which would bypass the need to play the DAO/DAA/DLC content altogether.

If you use the DAO savegame editor you can adjust the animation speed back to normal. (it should be negative in your case)
That should fix it and thanks to the patch you shouldn't get it again.

However, the whole system freeze when loading a new save or area in DX11 is still there. Just less frequent.

I have the slow motion bug... Can I just revert to an earlier save (before getting Isabela's buff) and continue on from there, or must I start from scratch?

You can revert back to before you got her buff and it will work fine.

If these aren't going to be addressed, is there any chance for a toolset?
Edit: The reason I ask about a toolset is some of these bugs ARE repairable by modders. The boons not being properly set when Alistair is king is a fix in two mods. It sounds like some of the other things that aren't being addressed could be repaired via mod. I and others do not mind repairing these, but it helps if we have the proper tools TO fix them.

Most of the time, this isn't really a problem (although it is annoying). However, it certainly is a problem during the Act 1 boss fight. If your allies are scattered all over the room, just go ahead and try to order them to hide behind different pillars. They'll instead ignore the hold command because they're too far from you, run out like idiots, and get themselves fried. Hold has always meant hold in other games. I don't see why this behavior for it was implemented.
