No, that's not the problem with Zevran.  Looking at the flags from my savegame with a savegame editor, both the romance status AND the approval import properly from a DAO save.  However, the romance is not acknowledged at all.  Not even in the codex.

However, using the mod that fixes the import flags, Zevran now thinks the warden is dead.  He is still willing to have sex with Hawke, but he will turn down Isabela on the grounds he is still mourning, even if the warden is alive -- both of those are incorrect dialog.  His codex does reflect that the warden was his lover.

So it seems that there are a couple of problems.  One would be with the vault.  The other is dialog bugs.

So the new patch didn't fix that? Confirmed?

Disappointing. Zevran's loyalty was all I wanted out of this patch. I really hate that he wants to cheat on my Warden. :crying:

Though I haven't played the game with a fresh start all the way to act three, I did do some tests and I can confirm that Zevran is still broken.  The behavior is the exact same as in v1.01 -- including the use of the import mod fix.  So even IF his flag were fixed (which it is NOT), the dialog would be broken.

However, the data IS importing correctly from DAO -- looking at my save game from an editor shows that his romance is active and his approval is at 100.  The problem is in the reading those data, and that issue would be in DA2.  It's not being lost in the import process.  now, I can't say that's the case for Awakening or DLC imports -- I suspect with DLC/Awakening imports the approval is not being imported (but I cannot verify this -- it looks like it isn't, but perhaps it's just stored in a different way).

there is a player made mod that fixes all this..social.bioware.com/project/4364/

the game is importing everything, but the scripts that are part of the game are broken. This player has created override files that fixes most of the import issues (like 95% or more of them).

No, it doesn't fix it and had you read my first post in the nestled quotes, you'd see that I have tested it with both the mod that fixed the import flags and without it.  It only fixes a small part of Zevran's issues.  Zevran also has dialog bugs.  Even with the flags fixed, the incorrect dialog is triggering.  He thinks an alive warden is dead, for instance.   He rejects Isabela on the grounds he is still in mourning (even for alive wardens) but still will get with Hawke (there's dialog in the talk table that shows he's not supposed to).

What that import mod mod DOES fix is Zevran's codex entry.  Otherwise it swaps one bug for another because of the dialog bugs.  It's not the fault of the mod.  It's just that Zevran's bugs are a bit more complex.

I'm glad he's on the list to be fixed for 1.03!

So sweet. I was waiting 4 weeks for a patch release. I thought I will finish my both imports from DAO to save them for DA3 and forget about DA2 forever...
But it seems I must wait again. 4 weeks ? 8 weeks ? 12 weeks ?
And according to the posts above I will need to start a new game after bioware will fix ( if they will do that ! ) all import bugs. And I don't want to use any community mods, fixes etc as long as i'm not sure that this will 1) help 2) not cause any problems after next patch will come out.
*Sigh* It is disappointing...
P.S.: Sorry if it's very agressive.

It sounds like the bug with Carver is restricted to a bad check in that one scene... Maybe a modder can even fix it for now. definitely out of my league, though. Good to have the patch anyway

There are still many bugs in DA:O regarding Morrigan, Alistair and Zevran. We are lucky that there are 2 great mods for that ZDF Dialog Fix and Morrigan Restoration Patch (they even cover a good part of Alistair bugs). In game they are good, don't know if their changes can be imported correctly though.

I've installed the patch, and I'm still seeing the stuttering when the mouse cursor is present on the screen. Holding the right button makes the game go smoothly but when the cursor is on the screen it stutters again.

I'm talking about bugs if the romance with him is active.  He does NOT mention the warden in DA2 at all, unless perhaps you're having sex wtih him and Isabela, in which case... that's NOT supposed to happen if he ended the game in love with the warden.  he's supposed to turn Isabela down.

Just believe me when I say that he is bugged for romanced wardens, even with the import bug fix.  He has this weird mix of mourning lines and willingness to have sex with Hawke which is not supposed to be happening.

Edit: With a romanced warden, if the warden is alive OR dead, if Isabela propositions Zevran, he says the memories are still too fresh.  He does not give the proper goodbye either.  This is dialog that is in the talktable so presumably in the game, but kept out by bugs.

I should have been more clear that I was talking about romance dialog.  But the facts remains that his problems go beyond the import flags.

Not-romanced Zevran is not bugged.  Just like not-romanced Leliana and not-romanced Alistair.  It's the romance flags that have issues.  The romanced characters are defaulting to the not-romanced lines.

I honestly wish the import flag mod worked for a romanced Zevran.  I use it because his correct codex triggers with it.

So moved the import fix mod file into the override folder and tried loading a game from the final room in the Deep Roads right after defeating the Ancient Rock Wraith. It still ends up with the quest "Fool's Gold" showing up in the beginning of act 2, so I would suspect that "Finding Nathaniel" will still be unavailable in act 3. Does that mean that it doesn't fix that or I should load and earlier save? Or did I not do it right?

Although I earlier reported that 'Who Needs Rescuing?' was fixed, this was based on seeing Orlanna there when she was absent before and having the option to talk to her to start it. Since then I have talked to her and fought the bandits but then she just leaves and the quest doesnt update, as others have reported. So its only half fixed.

A way to fix the missing Awakening/DLC flags could be that you have to first import the post game save of Origins for your char, so the game can save the relevant variables, and afterwards you can import the Awakening/DLC save for the same char to add the additional flags for the Addons.

I obviously don't know if this was addressed in the new patch, but I am still unable to launch the game at all due to the bug telling me that I don't have enough administrative privileges to run the game. I'm definitely the admin on my pc, and I can see all my system data so the fix in the 'unable to launch' thread doesn't really apply to me

I've seen a few posts of users making new accounts and the game running fine. Perhaps try making a new user account and installing it there but selecting allow all users to access this (or whatever that option is called)

Is this the official solution to the issue? Make a new account on the computer for the sole purpose of playing DA2?

Can I ask if the admin/guest bug was even addressed in the recent patch? :/ I notice it's on the 1.03 'To Do' list...

I still get this message in the game's activation process; when it ask me to Log-in:

"Check your Internet connection. If the problem persists, the server might be temporarily unavailable".

I'm sure that the e-mail and password are correct, otherwise i couldn't Log-in here.

Edit: Cut out the part about the boon flags (though those HAVE been repaired in a couple of mods but the fix would require beating the archdemon again).  However, the romance flags are importing correctly at least from DAO.  Is there any chance that those will be fixed in DA2 as for some reason they're not being read properly in DA2?  Also, there are dialog bugs in Zevran's and Alistair's cameos.

If these aren't going to be addressed, is there any chance for a toolset?

Edit: The reason I ask about a toolset is some of these bugs ARE repairable by modders.  The boons not being properly set when Alistair is king is a fix in two mods.  It sounds like some of the other things that aren't being addressed could be repaired via mod.  I and others do not mind repairing these, but it helps if we have the proper tools TO fix them.

You know, Ejoslin, Bioware should just HIRE you and Terra-X to make their patches. (Among other things) You are THAT awesome!

What happened to Nathaniel in your import?
If you saved the city and left him at the keep, DA:2 considers him dead.  So no "Finding Nathaniel".
Check the flags because the vault report doesn't actually say it when the flag is set to him dead, but it's there.
The import fix cannot fix that flag.
Also check the is friendly flag, but that one is probably okay.
The import fix only fixes the lack of approval rating in the save file, nothing else.

I guess that explains it. I have no idea how to do anything about that though, I read threads on how to fix it with save editing and so forth but I still can't follow.

While the quest "Who needs rescuing" can now be done (the hostage and bandits spawn properly), the quest itself isn't marked as completed.

I also have the same issue with "Sketchy on the details". Once I've killed all the assassins and got my reward from Sketch, the description in the journal says the quest is done, but it's still under my active quests rather then being moved into the completed quests section.

Here's a link from when I finally figured out how to fix it: [it takes a bit to get accustomed with what's going on, and I cannot guarantee 100% that it fixes things since I'm currently in a playthrough where I already picked up Fool's Gold... so won't be able to know for sure until a few days from now...]
