No, that's not the problem with Zevran. Looking at the flags from my savegame with a savegame editor, both the romance status AND the approval import properly from a DAO save. However, the romance is not acknowledged at all. Not even in the codex.
However, using the mod that fixes the import flags, Zevran now thinks the warden is dead. He is still willing to have sex with Hawke, but he will turn down Isabela on the grounds he is still mourning, even if the warden is alive -- both of those are incorrect dialog. His codex does reflect that the warden was his lover.
So it seems that there are a couple of problems. One would be with the vault. The other is dialog bugs.
So the new patch didn't fix that? Confirmed?
Disappointing. Zevran's loyalty was all I wanted out of this patch. I really hate that he wants to cheat on my Warden.
Though I haven't played the game with a fresh start all the way to act three, I did do some tests and I can confirm that Zevran is still broken. The behavior is the exact same as in v1.01 -- including the use of the import mod fix. So even IF his flag were fixed (which it is NOT), the dialog would be broken.
However, the data IS importing correctly from DAO -- looking at my save game from an editor shows that his romance is active and his approval is at 100. The problem is in the reading those data, and that issue would be in DA2. It's not being lost in the import process. now, I can't say that's the case for Awakening or DLC imports -- I suspect with DLC/Awakening imports the approval is not being imported (but I cannot verify this -- it looks like it isn't, but perhaps it's just stored in a different way).
there is a player made mod that fixes all this..social.bioware.com/project/4364/
the game is importing everything, but the scripts that are part of the game are broken. This player has created override files that fixes most of the import issues (like 95% or more of them).
