Just so you know. Nothing in the world could convince me to vote for Mass Effect if the final would be against Zelda. No hard feelings, but I think my reasons can be sympathized with. Of course, ... nothing in the world is a harsh word, ... and maybe if BioWare would secretly grant me the Über-Edition of ME3 or a new gaming rig (whichever you think is the appropriate ... argument
), I'd just might reconsider my stance ...

Well it looks like Zelda Took over and Mass Effect is getting revenge for the GOTY last year and is killing starcraft looks like its going to be ME Vs Zelda and I'm torn on that one.

I like SC and ME but after Blizzard stopped allowing its players to play cross-server (i.e UK players playing on US servers) i totally lost my faith in them. Most of my clan mates from WC3 are from USA and we all wanted to game together in SC2. Couldn't do it so **** em. Mass Effect is awesome through and through and gets my vote

recently a site ran a "March Madness" bracket but with the 64 best Sci-fi movies and not NCAA teams. in the final four was

now seeing this you are probably thinking Blade Runner over T2 which you would be correct. you are also probably thinking SW:ESB over Serentiy, wrong. Serenity beat Emprie and then faces Blade Runner. well somehow Blade Runner loses to Serenity....yeah....
fan based awards whether they be incosiquential or actually meaningfull are never really that big a deal to me for the sole fact that when voting over the internet its never 1 person gets 1 vote so you arne't going to ever see a true representation of what would win (cough cough star wars/blade runner cough)

Mike Lamond is popular, not all that proficient in SC2, Day9 and HDStarcraft are better, husky is funnier, sometimes talking about his drink more than actual game. They are casters, watched a lot, but totally everyone must have their own head on the shoulders.
Blizzard charges you for every month of gaming in SC2, isn`t it bold? Open your eyes finally! You are being charged for:
- Graphics that is old as 2-3 years at minimum, there are far better ones now.
Unreal Engine has better cinematic purproses (go youtube, search - "Unreal Engine Samaritan" to get the idea) , cinematics of SC could be better, but still simple, interaction good for 12-15 years old guys. Graphics is minus and cinematics too.
- Idea of continuation of "epic saga" we just dismissed that claim... Sorry guys, again there is only Title called STARCRAFT, popularized by Koreans and Blizzard as "woo, make money on gaming!" MARKETING hit you here, harder than you may think. They force you to pay for every month of game or buy it for hilariously high price. You bought it beacause it`s blizzard that was good some time ago, i can only shake their marketing departament hands - they were able to sell medium quality title to the millions world wide. There is in game humour (iCruiser, iPistol...) some continuation of campaign + battle net and WCG competiotions that is all that game about.
- Development deadline was delayed to 10 years or even more! With us getting just medium product with ability to go WCG, be a "pro-gamer" ect.
SC2 is not worthy even a boots of ME title (yes - popularity, yes - "epic saga", yes - balanced strategy, but no soul, extreme price for no reason, development is waay to long with result is not that quality as could be) while ME was created for 1-2 years each, graphics are very good, ME have soul, reasonable price, nicely if not perfectly done overall.
Honestly ME and starcraft are not the appropriate genre to compare them, different engines, style, everything, but when it comes to it, ME is nuclear missile compared with... Marine Gauss rifle?
There are game ratings/reviews and i have read them - SC rated more than one time as bull**** and there were told "People will buy it beacause of Blizzard".
I know - tastes differ, but sometimes tastes can be fooled by chemical compunents to emulate the flavour, sc2 case - emulated flavour of what it could have really been.
