Hello all, I know, just when you thought every question about this topic that could be asked has ben, I come with yet ANOTHER one...(sorry if this has ben asked/adressed already)
So when I change the model of an item thats part of a set, and equip that item, the set completion bonus does not show up...could this be because the name of the item changes? I dont see why though since its just changing the model and name..The item still has the "bonus for set completion" stat on it but alas...no bonus..(i.e. I changed the champ mage hood to look like the slaver cowl, the name is no longer champ hood but slaver cowl yet it still has the exact same stats as the champ hood...) Anyone got any ideas? Thanks
Gotstanother model swapping question..(I know, how many can there be rite?)

Yes, Unless you swap the entire target set to the entire set look you will lose the full set bonus.
The proper way to swap individual armor models would be in the UTI itself by changing the variation ID.
However, you need to be aware that if you are mixing armor pieces from different classes (Example: Rogue Champions chest and Mage Champion boots), there will be gaps between the model pieces because they were not designed to be ever worn together. In the example above, there is a gap between the top of the mage boot and the bottom part of the pant leg over the knee. Don't mix class type armor models unless you don;t care about some really bad clipping in some cases or huge gaps in others.

hmmm alright..that is a bit dissapointing, cos the only thing I ever really swap are helms and chestarmor...and also the things i swap them with usually arent set items...is there a way to work around that?
when you say the proper way is to use the uti and switch the ids, is that the same thing as using the editor? because if so I already use the editor

You must use a UTI editor that will handle the latest UTI v3.2 file structure, the pyGFF editor will only read them, you can't edit them with it.
