So I played my Dalish Warden save in DA2 and there was lots of mention of him in DA2, through the Dalish and Merril, but playing a Human Noble save or now a Dwarf Commoner, I havent seen anything outside of the codex.

I'm looking for mentions of the origin specifically, not just 'the warden is now king' etc.

Has anyone seen other origins mentioned in DA2? I've read that the Amell Mage gets a mention, havent played that one though.

Mage gets mentions from Leandra and Bethany (mentioning relation and circle residence) and from Knight-Captain Cullen, as well as vague things like Anders mentioning his friend, which I presume is not origin-specific.

I saw no Cousland (Human Noble) or Bride (city elf) specific mentions during my playthroughs with their imports.

That's too bad, and surprising.

Yeah my HN only gets mentioned because she's Queen. Seems like those HNs who don't become monarch get absolutely nothing.

My first Cousland got no clear mention, my second who became King was mentioned as being on the throne. Hell, my first Cousland didn't even get remembered by the love of his life, Leliana.

I think the only imports that having any mention besides Anders's generic "I knew someone like you." and "A friend gave it to me." are the mage origin and the dalish origin. No one else gets a peep. Even your LI forgets about you at least from what I understand they do. I've heard if you romance Zevran he still sleeps with Isabela and you know he's running around Thedas, alone. Leliana never mentions it and she's running around playing secret agent, alone.

No if you romance Zevran he's reluctant to have sex with anyone else.

Yeah...but chances are he needn't have worried.  After seeing his new look, the Warden has no doubt kicked him to the curb in horror.

Must have heard wrong, or it was a bug. You know how you hear text that you read on the internet? Hearing.

Amell gets some mentions, as did my Dalish.

Surana only got one mention, from Anders, when he used her as some example of heroic mage-liness, which is the same as one of the mentions Amell gets, only it was for her too.

Of Tabris and Brosca, I've heard nothing.

The Grand Cleric acknowledges that it was an elf who stopped the blight, though I don't think she's more specific than that.

I romanced him, and didn't get this...  He was still all for screwing around with my Hawke.  ;__;

My Warden was an Elf Mage and there was only brief mention of the Hero of Ferelden being a mage and an elf during a couple conversations with NPCs regarding the treatment of mages/elves.

I was roleplaying Human Mage:wizard: and I found out that my grey female guard
is related to Hawke.
I do not acknowledge this fact because I determined the origin of my
guard by myself and I was pissed off by her alleged relationship:crying:

At least the Dalish Origin story got some 'moments of glory' between DAII and Witch Hunt, which was needed after Origins pretty much neglecting them.

I felt many of the Cameos in DA2 was rather useless and shouldn't really have been there.
the game felt more like Six Degrees of the warden than a new story.

Are you kidding me? Aside from the prologue and the Flemeth quest, the game was as standalone as it could've been.

Which is a good thing, given the fact that we play with a new character in a new setting.

Not sure I agree with you, I felt there were too many connections to DA:O for it's own good. but that is mostly realted quests concerning characters from DA:O.

Like Meeting King Alistair was had no meaning what so ever.

The Mage Origin gets some mention by Anders. About how a Mage saved Ferelden but nothing changed [for the mages]. How they're still viewed as monsters etc.

Oh, and really, cameo's aren't supposed to be huge plot twisting turn of events. They're cameos. But, just because they are in DA2, doesn't belittle the game at all. There were what? about 4 character connections to the two games, Alistair, Leliana, Zevran, & Flemeth.

The point being, the connections there were do nothing to impede the game. It is clearly a stand alone title as the game could support itself w/o those encounters.

Of course it had one. We now know that Ferelden is harbouring apostates and is challenging the chantry authority to search and arrest mages. Through that cameo we learn the position of Ferelden in the coming war.

Well, he wasn't very happy about it, now was he? Blame Meredith for not speaking to reason.
