when the game tries to connect to Cerberus, i get a message, connection interupted or timed out.  It happens immediately, no delays.
Anyone knows what is going on and how to correct it?

DA:O has a server problem and DLCs are loaded and unauthorized.
DA2 is working well, especially with the new 1.02 patch.
ME 1 is working fine.
ME 2 stops when trying to connect to cerberus.
I don't thing it is related to the forums and social net updates, but the Cerberus network.
I looked at permissions in MS firewall, and mass effect 2 had access, listed several times with yes and none said no.

i only added 2 new programs: html tool kit, i uninstalled and rebooted but i still can't play me2
the other program is turbotax.

Benn having the same problems lately... have to re-login every time the game starts after this message. Doesn't really affect game play but is annoying....

I'm having the same issue and I thought it may have had to do with the DA:O issues as well, but since those are fixed now and I'm still getting the message, it seems to be it's own issue. Really would like some word about this, I just got the new DLC and really wanted to play again.

I thought it was just me! Re-logging on works for about 30 minutes, and then I have to re-log on again. Been fiddling with network settings to see if that was the issue, but looks like this isn't a fault on my end.

lol, i wasn;t clicking on "OK", but to the right of it, so it didn't disappear.
got it going now, but it is annoying having to manually login.

Sigh, well that's not going to help me unfortunately; I try to click OK and the game just locks up.

I've been having the same problem.

I just tried rescanning my system in the ME2 Configuration utility, and for the first time in days started up ME2 & it connected without giving me the error & making me sign in again.

I wonder if my recently-added hard drive caused a conflict. At any rate, if I start getting the issue again, I'll post an update.

Ocassionally I get the 'timed-out' message, but after logging in manually it works fine. I disabled the Auto-Log in for EA Online to avoid this.

You can disable Auto-Log into EA Online by going into Extras>Options>Online.

that's what i did, disabled auto-login. Very annoying not being able to login automatically.
I wonder what is the cause?

This just started for me recently as well.  Sometimes it auto-logs in fine.  Sometimes not.  Manually connecting afterwards always works though... it's just annoying to have to retype my login each time.

Same problem here. Happens everytime I start the game. I can manually login afterwards. It's a pain in the ass though. Never had problems so far with this, started a few days ago.

Yup, same thing happening to me. When I start the game and it tries to log in automatically it immediately says there is an error, no pause while it actually tries to log in. If I then re-enter my details it logs in perfectly (until the next time I play the game). I wondered if it was my firewall but its logs show nothing unusual, and I haven't changed or installed anything recently.

For me it started about Monday/Tuesday, I've been playing ME2 a lot lately and it was logging in perfectly before then. I can't see any reason for the change, but if other people are having the problem then it could be something on the other end.

Just wanted to add that I am having the same issue. Start the game, then i get the message that it can't login into the Cerberus Network and then the game hangs. Another reason why online connection DRM is TEH MAJOR SUCK! We as original game owners are getting shafted whilst pirates get off scott free with no DRM and no connection issues.

I'm still having the login problem. However, I think if you login once after installing the DLC then you don't have to deal with logins after that? I've just stopped logging in all together (turned off auto-login in the options) and the game with all the dlc's doesn't balk at all.

This is happening with me and with Dragon Age 2. Kinda annoyed as I wanted to play either of those. I'm on Steam and wondering if that's the cause but I guess not.

Now to find something to play.

I guess it's not happening to that many people, or not many people are saying something about it in this forum. My game also does this.

This just started happening to me as well. I thought it was because I purchased and installed Overlord, Shadow Broker, Arrival and I finally remembered to install the Collectors Edition armor. I even reinstalled the latest patch.

I was getting the unauthorized DLC message but once I logged in and played the game, I don't get that any more, I just get the connection problem message. I should probably just turn off auto login since it's getting annoying now.
