No seriously. Do you really have nothing better to do than grief Bioware? At least they are fixing mistakes ASAP instead of ignoring them.
*BioWare devs say something (ANYTHING)*
*apologists bury their noses in devs' crotches with thank yous like they're gonna get a treat*
*BioWare gets lazy*
No seriously, do you consider over a month to be "ASAP?"

And people like you are never happy, no matter what occurs. If this game upsets you so much, if Bioware is such a huge disappointment in your eyes, if nothing Bioware ever does will ever make you happy, or at least content... why are you here? Just leave.
People genuinely like DA2, people are genuinely happy that a patch has been released. If you can't accept that people have different opinions than you, and that they're just as valid, then I think you'd be better off being a recluse somewhere else.
And yes, a 'month' is ASAP these days when increasing amounts of red tape from companies like Sony, Microsoft and EA are making it harder and harder to get patches out. This patch has probably been ready for 2 weeks. The reason we didn't see it until now is entirely the fault of EA, not Bioware. So toss the blame where it deserves to be, not at whatever is the most visible.

What I found actually shocking is that some people think it is out of Bioware's goodwill that they're releasing patches and should be thanked profusely. For one thing, the game wasn't given for free, you paid good money for it (not unless you asked your parents for money to buy it). Bioware damn well owes you the patches. It's even more shocking that it has become acceptable for a game to be released with such game breaking bugs. There should be some kind of lemon law for games that overrides the broken seal and consumed serial key which will allow you to return it for the fact that the game is a lemon (horribly riddled with bugs, especially game breaking ones.), the should give publishers some pause before they rush a title out the door without adequate beta testing.

And likewise, some people are genuinely disappointed with this whole thing. The opinions of the "haters" and the opinions of the "fanboys" are equally valid.
You are the pot calling the kettle black here.

If you think that the haters don't have any valid points then you have either gone "full retard" or you are just simple... like Sandal. ENCHANTMENT!

DA2 has been in some ways disappointing, but it is not a terrible game.
Bioware had a QC fail on initial release. They're trying to fix it. This patch is a good step in that process.
Sheesh. There are people on both sides who need a big, big dose of perspective, and maybe a damn thorozine patch.

In fairness Veracruz didn't say 'haters' didn't have ANY valid points - s/he said not ALL their points were valid. Which is true. I've heard many people moan with the most petty and ridiculous of complaints.
Okay, the game was, in the eyes of many fans, less than we'd hoped and less than Origins. But it wasn't TERRIBLE. And however good/bad it is the fact that they've released a patch is a good thing, isn't it? So why are (some) people using the news as another opportunity to moan?

it'll be a total game-changer(NPI) on console. auto-attack. that eclipses everything else they might fix on console, not that the other fixes are unimportant, just not AS crucial.
LOL...I still don't know what auto-attack is!!! Isn't that what the characters are doing (but for Hawke?)

Using the save generator to romance/sleep with Isabela/Morrigan/Zevran as a male elf mage and then checking the values in the debug after importing the save shows a male elf mage who didn't romance or sleep with anyone. Opening the save with GFF editor and changing 16024 > 17603 > 1001 from 2 to 1 makes the debug identify me sleeping and romancing the previous characters, but makes the Warden a dwarf instead of elf. However, loading the autosave BEFORE the edited save fixes everything and gives me an male elf mage who romanced/slept with Isabela/Morrigan/Zevran. I'll never understand.

Hmm. Interesting how the PC gets an extra patch over consoles.
If only that was true as consoles got a whole game just for them!

sadly no patch can save this fiasco.
^THAT
Patch 1.02 blows. This game and the team that made it are completely dysfunctional. A 28 meg patch after over a month of waiting that doesnt fix nearly the amount of stuff they've been saying it would? Yeah, fail Bioware. Big fail.

What? They said 100 bugfixes.
The patch notes lists only 25, but you have to multiply the number for the platforms!
PC, Mac, X-Box, PS3
25x4=100
